Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a great understanding and knowledge of individual giving and stewarding supporters, who shows great leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to maximise opportunities to achieve organisational growth.

As the Individual Giving Manager at our esteemed Charity Hospice, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our Individual Giving, In Memory, Lottery, and Legacy income streams. Your primary focus will be on achieving retention and growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team.

Harris Hill has an opening for an experienced Individual Giving Manager to join a health related charity for 3 months, but potentially longer to cover recruitment period.

Following the completion of a 5 year plan, the organisation has decided to invest in Individual Giving as it has been noted there is lots of room for improvement, one of which is dividing the team into separate retention and acquisitions teams. This will focus on the retention side. They will be recruiting permanently but need someone quite experienced to get the ball rolling on an interim basis.

As an IG Manager, you will be required to hit the ground running but also be quite hands on, ready to roll your sleeves up when needed. The role is hybrid based with one day per week in the office. They have two offices. One in central and the other in south London which could work well for someone commuting in from the Surrey and the south.

The client is willing to offer a daily rate on a PAYE basis of £164-200 per day, plus holiday pay, which would be payrolled via the agency. You could choose an umbrella company if you wish.

The role reports into the Senior Individual Manager (Retention) and is responsible for the day-to-day support in delivering a variety of donor centric retention programmes for regular givers and weekly lottery players that aim to reduce attrition and ultimately maximise donor lifetime value. 

About You 
We’re looking for:

The Committed Giving Team is a high achieving, fast-paced team responsible for the acquisition and retention of committed/ regular donors. The team work across 3 key areas; Acquisition, Direct Dialogue Acquisition (Face to Face channels), and stewardship,. The team work closely together with the shared aim of delivering exceptional supporter experience and raising the reliable income the hospital needs to help provide extraordinary care for seriously ill children and their families.

Crossroads Care Surrey is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting unpaid carers throughout Surrey. With a strong commitment to making a difference in the community, we are seeking a passionate and results-driven Individual Giving Officer to join our team. 

This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our mission by cultivating meaningful relationships with individual donors and driving our fundraising efforts to new heights.

What will I be responsible for?

You will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with individual donors to secure financial support for the organisation. 

You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and upgrade individual donors, ensuring a steady and growing stream of funding for the organisation.

Report directly to the Fundraising Manager and work closely with other members of the Development team.

What we can offer you:

•    Salary of £35,000 - £37,000 per annum

To be considered for this role, you will require the following skills and competencies:

•  Proven experience in individual fundraising, donor relations, or related fields.
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•  Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
•  Familiarity with fundraising databases and CRM systems.
•  Knowledge of current trends and best practices in individual giving and philanthropy.
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
•  Strong organisational and project management skills.
