Job description

Triage Officers are responsible for reviewing and risk assessing all potential fitness to practise concerns that are received by the HCPC’s Fitness to Practise department. They play an integral part in the process and are the first point of contact for those who wish to raise concerns about HCPC registrants.

The ideal candidate will have experience of case management and risk assessment, with an understanding of professional regulation or experiencing of working within a legislative framework. They should have excellent verbal and written skills and be able to independently progress cases in line with legislation, defined policies and guidance. They should be well organised, be able to multi-task and prioritise their work depending on the assessed risk and deadlines set for them. The role also requires attention to detail whilst being able to review large amounts of information within short timeframes.
