We know kinship carers are strong, capable and fiercely determined to ensure they get what they need to support their kinship family. And we want to support them to feel confident and empowered to do that. A new training contract with the Department for Education will support this outcome. 

This role is pivotal in supporting kinship carers to understand what being a kinship carer actually means, what choices are available to them and how to access the information and advice they need for their kinship families in England. 

You’ll be part of a team delivering regional roadshows across the country. You’ll help facilitate on the day, presenting to kinship carers across England. Alongside roadshows you’ll deliver introductory training at local peer support groups. 

You’ll join a new team – Advice, Training and Information who will be resolute about creating a positive and impactful learning experience for all kinship carers in England. A strong facilitator and communicator, you will need to be great at presenting content to kinship carers. You’ll need to calm under pressure and able to deliver exceptional in person workshops and training to small and large audiences. 

Being interactive, engaging and able to read the room are essentials for this role. You’ll be curious – and always thinking about how you can improve your delivery and the experience for kinship carers. We’re building a team who is open, focussed on the needs of kinship carers and who are looking to continuously and positively improve. 

As part of this new training service, you’ll receive all the training and development to support you to succeed in this role. This may include overnight stays as part of induction and training. This is a role that will need to travel and we’re happy to discuss how this could work best if you have kinship caring responsibilities. You will not be responsible for logistics. 

What you’ll need to achieve in this role: 

• Co-delivering exceptional in person introductory roadshows to kinship carers in England (16 over a 12-month period) as part of a delivery team. 

• Leading exceptional in person introductory workshops to peer support groups in England (individual target - 20-30 over a 12-month period). 

• An in-depth understanding of kinship care in England (we’ll provide training and support). 

• Consistent approach across training experiences, following manualisation processes. 

• Effectively facilitating roundtable discussions (as part of the roadshow format). 

• Supporting consultation events with kinship carers to support co-design of the service. 

• Ensuring KPIs for service delivery (including feedback and evaluation) are met including kinship carer experiences (90% service user satisfaction). 

• Ongoing continuous development of training resources and delivery using insight, data and participation from kinship carers. 

• Ensuring training is accessible and adapted as required. 

• Be comfortable being a ‘face’ for the service in promotion, in person and for online resources. 

• Take part in creating online content, including being confident in front of the camera to produce video and verbal content to add to our online resources, advice and guidance. 

• Contribute to online resources as required. 

• Take accountability for using Salesforce effectively as our case management system to support service delivery learning, high performance and evaluation. Ensure excellent administration in your delivery, keeping to deadlines. 

• Work closely with Advice Service, Peer Support Service and Programmes teams to create onward referral pathways. 

• Work with local authority partners to create regional content for in person introductory training workshops at peer support groups. 

• Ensure tone of voice, language and brand are in line with Kinship guidelines. Contribute positive active learning and proactively create opportunities to understand kinship carers needs for training (using learning logs). 

• Contribute to case studies demonstrating impact of training service alongside ongoing insight to influence policy and campaigning development. 

• Actively contribute to a delivering high performance across the team. Commitment to personal development.

What you’ll bring (your experience): 

Essential experience, skills and abilities: 

• Substantial experience delivering engaging in-person training and workshops for diverse audiences, or transferable skills which demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills. 

• High quality and professional in-person facilitation skills, or transferable skills which demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills. 

• Demonstrable experience of holding clear boundaries and managing unforeseen circumstances (like disruptive behaviour) within training contexts, or transferable skills which demonstrate your ability to manage boundaries and unforeseen circumstances in a professional context. 

• Proven experience of delivering training workshops which deliver impact and learning outcomes for participants, or transferable skills which demonstrate your ability to deliver positive outcomes in a professional context. 

• Excellent Powerpoint skills. 

• Experience of working with communities with different levels of digital literacy. Ability to develop in-depth subject knowledge (kinship care for example) to deliver consistent and up to date content.

Main duties and responsibilities 

• To develop engaging and accessible learning resources using a range of different formats, which supports learners to develop essential skills through leadership opportunities.

• To build and deliver online learning and training for both learners and tutors.

• To use data and research available to generate ideas and concepts for new and existing programmes. 

• To support engagement with centres (customers) and learners to gather feedback and grow ideas to support programme development.

• To collaborate with suppliers such as graphic designers, when required, to develop high quality, visually appealing branded learning resources. 

• To support projects with third party suppliers or subject matter experts when required, to meet customer need.

We're looking for a Senior Project Officer, to work in our Innovation and Practice team and support exemplary, agile project management across Involve. 

This is an exciting time to join the Involve team. Alongside increasing public and political interest in our approaches, we are increasing the size and impact of our project work. We have a couple of new multifaceted projects which need really effective and agile project management. As a Senior Project Officer you will contribute to all aspects of our delivery, with a particular focus on project and programme management of larger projects. Your main focus will be on:

• Project management and delivery - core project management and logistics, running onboarding for participants, event management, analysis and reporting, and facilitation

• Building our project management approach further - supporting Involve to build our project management capacity and resources that are appropriate for our creative, inclusive processes and culture

• Project and programme design - working with project teams to design entire projects and processes which use deliberative, qualitative and participatory methods

• Project impact - recording and monitoring how our projects work, the kinds of impacts they have, and the ways they contribute to Involve’s mission. 

This Senior Project Officer role sits in our Innovation and Practice Function. Our team’s daily work includes setting up, managing, designing, delivering and reporting on a wide range of participatory and deliberative processes, ranging from small scale, hyper-local community engagements to large, national, multi-event Citizens’ Assemblies and longer term projects. Our processes can be face to face, hybrid, or online, and often involve bringing together different groups from within the public with interested parties and experts from across government, business , academia and civil society.

In addition, you would work closely with our Capacity Building and Standards team to support their work helping others to deliver these approaches and contribute to our communications and advocacy work. You will also support fundraising for grants and projects, responding to tenders and writing proposals and building relationships with our funders, collaborators and clients. 

We are looking for an excellent project manager, able to manage fairly large projects and task manage others at all levels to ensure smooth delivery. You will be great at managing relationships at all levels and working with others to get things done. Given the nature of our work we are also looking for public participation skills, or relevant or transferable expertise and an understanding of deliberative practice. That will enable you to design and deliver project management, and support facilitation that fits our work and enables you to contribute to advising our clients on designing and delivering effective engagement. It is critical that you are open to new ideas, a good team player, committed to shifting power and addressing inequities in our society and that you are passionate about furthering our vision. Experience of building project management capacity, fundraising and staff management is desirable.

The Role:

The Partner Engagement Lead is responsible for key account management, and specifically developing and supporting relationships with programme sponsors and partners within the WorldGBC network.

The Partner Engagement Lead will work closely alongside the programme/projects team subject leads, taking responsibility for day to day management of activities that relate to sponsors or stakeholders, including partner relationships, external collaborations and fundraising.

Working cross-functionally within a matrix-style organisation, the Lead will work collaboratively on the engagement pillar of WorldGBC's fundraising team alongside the Partnerships Manager and the Strategic Partnerships Lead. This team coordinates closely with all WorldGBC departments, in particular where sponsors are involved with initial focus on the programme/project partners.

Well-organised and a great communicator, this individual will ensure that key relationships are managed effectively across the organisation, and be detail oriented in their reporting and accounting of opportunities. The Lead should also be willing to represent the organisation in relevant external opportunities relating to the programmes as need arises - including fundraising meetings, external working groups, events or conferences.

The Partner Engagement Lead will report to the Director of Programmes Strategy.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Account Management: Be primary point of contact for new and existing programmatic sponsors and partners, overseeing engagement with the network and accounting with detailed reporting to ensure up-to-date partnership records. Work alongside the programmatic team leads to deliver all agreed benefits to partners, ensuring a uniform balance of benefits and opportunities across sponsors engaging in all areas of the organisation.

2. Fundraising and Budget Management: Work alongside the programme leads to secure funding and manage relevant programme/project budgets (with guidance from the Director of Programmes Strategy), including supporting grant application and reporting responsibilities where necessary.

3. Stakeholder Engagement (members and partners): Engage with stakeholders to ensure that our programmes/projects align with their goals and needs, working with the Director of Programmes Strategy and wider programme team to explore best practice engagement tactics throughout 2024.

4. Subject Matter Expertise: Stay current with the latest trends in sustainable buildings and WorldGBC programme outputs, ensuring the Lead can communicate knowledgeably about WorldGBC strategy and work areas as required.

5. Communications: Support communication for WorldGBC on topics related to sustainable buildings in relevant programmatic areas, representing the team at internal or external events or industry working groups and collaborating with Marketing & Communications on accurate messaging for publications and campaigns.

6. Supporting Programmes team: Be a committed member of the WorldGBC team and offer support, training and expertise to wider members of the team. Participate and engage in wider WorldGBC campaigns, events and deliverables, such as COP, World Green Building Week and Leadership Summit.

Urban Saints are looking to recruit a new Communications Manager to join the team. This is a critical role, where you will be taking a lead to ensure that Urban Saints' internal and external communications are as effective as they can be. JOB DESCRIPTION

• To work with coalition members and partners to co-create and build campaigns that are packed with engaging content and compelling actions that mobilise the public at scale

• To facilitate the rollout of coalition-wide campaigns, developing and sharing campaign resources and communications materials 

• To manage the use of storytelling in our campaigning, harvesting and cataloguing stories of collective action

• Managing the creation of content (such as such as video, animation, images for social media and interactive content) which makes the case for systems change

• To support innovation in campaigning and communications across the coalition through the convening of an action-learning process 

• Oversee TCC’s owned communications channels, working closely with colleagues in the Secretariat team to manage the delivery of communications activity

• Build a network of trusted contractors and suppliers. Brief and manage freelancers and agencies, and evaluate delivery.

As second most senior leader in the charity, the Deputy Director will provide leadership to the First Give team and support the Board of Trustees and Director with strategy and governance.

Key responsibilities 

Organisational Leadership and line management 

• Deputise for the Director when necessary

Fundraising 

• Work with the Director and consultants to own and implement a robust fundraising strategy to support the organisation as it executes its new strategic plan 

• Develop processes for managing fundraising applications and stewardship of existing funders and supporters 

• Write and submit high quality, inspiring and tailored funding applications and reports for trusts and foundations (expected to be in the region of £10,000-150,000) 

• Identify and develop potential new funding opportunities for First Give, including major donors and corporate funders 

• Manage relationships with a set number of key funders, ensuring that we proactively seek feedback, engagement and involvement in our work 

New School Partner Recruitment 

• Oversee and co-ordinate all new school partner recruitment sales and marketing activity 

• Work with our marketing agency to develop and implement marketing campaigns 

• Support the Programmes Team to recruit new partner schools in priority regions 

• Proactively seek opportunities for growth of the First Give partners network
