The Role
The role of Associate Director will be to support the Director, Global Grants Management to establish and maintain the direction of the grant making policy, training and continuous development of the Officer and Associate pools.
The Associate Director will oversee staff that are responsible for creating and maintaining grantmaking policy, working with IT to support technical training requirements and delivery, enforce global policies and standards, and upskilling and continuous development of the Associate / Officer pools.

This position will play a pivotal role in researching and implementing a new financial system, working closely with the Finance Director and team to automate and modernize internal controls and processes.

The Role
We seek a Grants Associate to provide advanced and complex administrative support for grantmaking activities and/or other opportunities by performing operational work that helps achieve the program’s goals and plans.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Global Central Grants Management (solid line) and liaising with the Director of Programs (dotted line), the Grants Associate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accountability for updating the system with relevant grants/grantee information.
- Reviewing reports and documents for compliance, accuracy, and readability.
- Ensuring data accuracy and completeness in accordance with appropriate protocols.
- Assisting in acquiring and reviewing expenditure responsibility reports.
- Supporting the delivery of knowledge building and training across opportunity portfolios.
- Collaborating with Central Grant Management to enforce global Grants. Management policy, procedure, and compliance.
- Providing support for portfolio analytics through data provision and entry.
- Developing and maintaining training materials for the grant management system based on implemented updates and changes.
- Managing relationships with grantees and other stakeholders in the field.
- Collaborating in the construction, maintenance, and assessment of grantmaking portfolios, as well as in the design of portfolio strategies.
- Assisting in obtaining and recording Equivalency Determinations.
- Supporting cash flow forecasting processes.
- Monitoring grant payment schedules and comparing actual grant spending against budgets.
- Providing support in checking Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Conflict of Interest compliance systems taking responsibility for providing advanced and complex administrative support for the Grants Management department, including processing grantee audit confirmation letters, liaising with the Finance audit team, processing payment of contracts, invoices, and expense reports, publishing grant lists, and planning departmental meetings and event

I am recruiting an interim Head of Finance for one of my very well known London based not for profit clients in the Arts sector.
They are looking for someone who can sit between the Director of Finance and the rest of the division, managing the finance team and overseeing day to day operations across the Finance function.
You will have 3 direct reports and a team of 15 under those 3 - whilst the successful candidate will be able to show a broad skill set across both management accounts and financial accounts, there is a very technically strong interim in place who is taking the lead on all financial accounting tasks.
The below is the crux of the role:
Technical Skills / Professional Qualifications
1. CCAB Qualified Accountant with significant post qualification experience in an arts environment.
2. Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to advise, influence and challenge senior stakeholders on complex financial matters
3. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write complex reports, financial appraisals and business proposals
4. Very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships across a complex organisation
5. Ability to manage a team of professional accounts staff
6. An extensive knowledge of IT applications especially Excel
Experience Required
1. Substantial financial and management accounting experience including liaising with budget managers in a large complex commercial organisation
2. Experience of managing professional accounts staff.
3. Outstanding analytical skills and significant experience of project appraisal along with extensive knowledge of Microsoft programmes.
4. Excellent communication skills and an ability to build good working relationships across the organisation
5. An ability to logically analyse task requirements and generate solutions, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.
Whilst the above states a qualified accountant is required, QBE is also acceptable.
The finance team are on site two days a week and the role is offered for six to nine months on an interim basis – they use Oracle as a system, but will be moving to SAP next year.
It is essential that you are a great people manager with excellent leadership skills, who can build good, solid working relationships quickly both with the finance team, and budget holders across the organisation.

Role overview.
Complete international grant expenditure audits for a diverse range of projects (grant recipients) funded by international donor institutions ranging from emergency aid, to long term development in areas such as agriculture, health or infrastructure or technical research. Assignments are 1-3 weeks in length and based across the European mainland and the developing world. These are offered on an assignment by assignment basis, one to two months in advance.

A prestigious Not for Profit organisation is recruiting a Financial Controller on an interim basis to take on a key leadership role. As the interim Financial Controller you will be accountable for the following:
- The production of the audited statutory financial statements and the completion of the external audit, to the specified timetable, you will need to lean upon your project management skills to pull this together

The Finance Director will sit alongside the Operations Director and report into the CEO. Main responsibilities of the role:
- To support the CEO in managing the rigors from day-to-day budget setting / monitoring and cashflows to fund reporting and Board briefings.
