Reporting directly to the CEO, you will use your passion for enabling impact locally and across the globe to be the leading voice and relationship-builder with new and existing funder partners. You will get to work with organisations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Comic Relief, UBS Optimus Foundation and many other leading UK, US and international funders. You will also utilise your existing network to identify and win new business and strategic partnerships, by finding leads, nurturing relationships and closing contracts.
As Lightful expands their reach and impact, you will have ultimate responsibility to identify, develop and steward strategic relationships with a wide array of philanthropic funders, which will enable small charities and non-profits to become more resilient through digital skills, tools and training. Lightful’s approach is to build strong, long-lasting and impactful partnerships, which can be bilaterally or in cohorts of collaborative funding partners within specific geographies or around impact cause/theme areas. There is no limit to how partnerships can flourish at Lightful.
You will inspire the Partnerships team, be a collaborative member of Lightful’s senior leadership team and work closely with a highly passionate and engaged board of directors and colleagues across the Programme, Impact, Engineering, Design, Finance and People teams.
The successful candidate will have a varied set of skills and experiences, with strong commercial acumen and a deep knowledge of the philanthropic sector and a proven track record of developing plans and executing those plans to reach large revenue targets, ideally from an existing network within the sector.

My client is a leading UK charity, supporting and empowering people fleeing from conflict and persecution to make new lives in the UK. Providing a range of critical services, they provide urgent practical support as well as looking to inspire a long term change in attitudes.
At present they are looking to appoint an interim Head of Transformation to oversee an organisational wide change programme providing clear oversight and ensuring accountability across all working groups.
Key responsibilities & objectives:

Job Description
The purpose of this role is to

Finance
- Provide expertise to the Board of Trustees in all accounting and financial areas as part of a mutually supportive Senior Leadership Team.
- Prepare and present finance Board papers on a quarterly basis.
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure operational performance and financial targets are met.
- Lead on the monthly financial reviews to ensure we exercise rigorous financial control to optimise performance.
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to push forward revenue opportunities and initiatives to drive cost efficiencies.
- Ensure the finance team has the right skills, processes, controls to ensure all aspects including purchase ledger, credit control, payroll and reporting work effectively.
- Overall responsibility for the preparation and completion of the annual budget for all divisions within the Company
- Control investment portfolio and short-term deposits and plan and manage the charity's tax liabilities under existing and proposed legislation. Evaluate the tax liability impact of contemplated courses of action
- Oversee the management of staff payroll and other benefits (Company Cars, private health scheme etc) including expenses
- Manage all pension activities
- Overall responsibility for the preparation of annual accounts. Ensure a satisfactory audit of these accounts and other interim accounts as may be required
- Analyse commercial elements of tenders and bids as required and advise on commercial viability of each proposal before tender or bid is submitted
- Overall responsibility for the procurement of goods and services across the organisation to achieve efficiencies.
Leadership and People Management
- Promote a highly visible leadership profile that incorporates our commitment to equality of opportunity, professionalism and quality standards
- Maintain an effective system of communication across the division, that ensures key information can be cascaded to staff effectively
- Together with the Senior Leadership Team ensure that business objectives are clearly understood across the organisation and that divisional activities support their achievement.
- Establish an effective methodology for managing performance of staff in order to support the achievement of business objectives
- Establish effective and productive relationships with all members of the Senior Leadership Team in order to deliver business excellence

The Successful Applicant
- Experienced Financial Director
- Significant experience at senior management level, with substantial budgetary responsibility and a proven track record of achievement in at least two relevant service areas
- Fully CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified
- Financial accounting experience of financial management in a commercial or not for profit organisation
- Solution oriented with a proven ability to successfully deliver in a complex environment
- Exceptional people leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate, develop and inspire people to deliver outstanding performance
- Experience of successfully working at senior level with Boards and Committees
- Up-to-date knowledge of legislative frameworks, regulatory requirements and key issues relevant to the post
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)

Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the job holder will work closely with the CEO, the executive team and the board on a variety of tasks to help TOTSCo achieve maturity in its governance, decision making and strategy and more generally as an organisation. Tasks include:
- Forward-planning board agendas in the light of strategic and operational priorities
- Preparing papers for board consideration under direction, including appropriate analysis and recommendations
- Support strategic development and implementation
- Preparing periodic board off-site strategy meetings
- Support board committees (e.g. Remco, ARC) in meeting preparation
- Development, management and review of organisational policies, including development of the staff handbook
- Support the board in implementation of Wates code of corporate governance
- Support the executive in preparation and analysis of consultation exercises with stakeholders
- Ad-hoc operational, strategic and organisational projects
Should time allow, additional tasks may extend to a variety of projects such as:
- Assist in analytical tasks such as the interpretation of OTS data

This position will play a pivotal role in researching and implementing a new financial system, working closely with the Finance Director and team to automate and modernize internal controls and processes.
This is a full-time position, working hybrid (3days/week in the office), and will be an initial 6month interim position.

The new Chief Income and Engagement Officer will provide leadership and direction on all aspects of RNIB's fundraising strategy, creating innovative, sustainable fundraising programmes and initiatives. You'll empower the effective income and engagement team to grow our restricted and unrestricted income, ensure our income targets are delivered while developing positive and lasting relationships with donors and partners. Reporting to the CEO and as part of our senior leadership team, you will lead the income and engagement department to embrace ambition and celebrate success, while maintaining excellent relationships across other departments.
As the Chief Income and Engagement Officer, you will lead a fantastic team of income and engagement individuals across all disciplines, contributing nearly £70m of fundraised income to RNIB each year. You will harness the power of effective storytelling and fundraising technology while ensuring the incredible portfolio of current fundraising activity is effectively stewarded and celebrated. The ideal candidate will enjoy driving forward new strategic fundraising ideas and will have led fundraising strategy in previous positions. They will also have substantial senior management experience and be dedicated to delivering successful change to support more individuals with sight loss.
