The Role

As the Deputy Team Leader (Court Services), working alongside Team Leaders you will be responsible for the delivery of the Witness Service within your court/s. 

You will share responsibility for the effective coordination and development of volunteers who support witnesses in their journey through the criminal justice system.

You willbe responsible for general service administrative tasks within the courts, as well as inputting service data.

About the role:

Your role as a Service Delivery Assistant (SDA) will be to provide an administrative function to the Humberside staff team.

The SDA role is a crucial one, to ensure the efficient running of the service and support the frontline staff to provide an effective service.

As an SDA you will;

• provide an administrative function to include administration of cases and referrals including updating case management systems and communicating with referral agencies to gain further information
• Raise purchase orders, deal with invoicing and purchasing
• Work with the management team and staff team to ensure adherence to policy and procedure including health and safety checks and audits

You’ll spend your time:

• Supporting the team (including Directors and Deputy Directors) with diary management, travel arrangements, accommodation, conference registrations, and expense claims.
• Organising and supporting relevant internal and external meetings, including a regular programme of lunch time learning sessions.
• Providing administrative support for research and policy project work, including proofreading, collating, data entry and maintaining electronic files as required.
• Working with other operational team members to provide general support across the Nuffield Trust.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations the post holder will be responsible for all HR related matters and ensure that Managers can develop to their full potential by upskilling, coaching and providing advice.

The HR Manager is a newly created position reflecting the growth in Trust activities over recent years and the need for a dedicated resource to ensure Trust needs are met as we continue to grow and evolve. This is a great opportunity to be involved in shaping and embedding HR Strategies across all Teams of the Trust.

The successful candidate will be qualified to CIPD level 5 and have proven experience in HR policy and practice. Charity experience would be advantageous however this is not essential.
