Recovery Navigators (Mental Health) – Intensive Community Rehabilitation Service 

£21,531 per annum

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinically led Community Intensive Rehabilitation Team within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust and as such, you will be working as part of an integrated medical and psychology team. You will be working in partnership with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties who are currently living in their own accommodation within the Birmingham area and require a period of intensive rehabilitation. Your support of individuals will be a person-centred recovery approach that focuses on developing, maintaining, and strengthening individuals’ skills, abilities, and personal resilience. 

Ideally you will be QCF/NVQ level 3 qualified or have a willingness to work towards this qualification. It is essential that you have an empathy for people experiencing mental health issues and are committed to service user involvement and empowerment. You will have a good understanding of equal opportunities, confidentiality, safeguarding and health & safety.

You will need to be flexible due to the shift patterns which include evenings and weekends. Shift patterns include 9.00am - 5.00pm and 1.00pm to 9.00 pm.

The Role 
 
As our Supporter Engagement Assistant, you will join our Fundraising Team to help us build strong and lasting relationships with our charity's supporters and donors.  

Reporting to the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will deliver excellent customer service over the telephone, in written (email and postal) communications and face to face and ensure that supporters' details are accurately recorded on the CRM database. You will be representing the charity, explaining its purpose, and demonstrating our charity values to donors/supporters, showing appropriate empathy to those who may have cancer or a family member/friend who does.  

This role provides a great opportunity to make a real difference to the people of Yorkshire and requires someone with a friendly manner, good team-working skills, great customer service and excellent organisational skills.  
 

Specifically, you will: 

• Ensure supporter communications are accurate, timely and appropriate to the recipient. This includes following the relevant pathways to process donations, record legacy pledges, update key information so that the communication is tailored and relevant to the individual supporter. 

• Update supporter records on our database to reflect changes in marketing permissions, personal details, the charity's relationship with the supporter (e.g. Volunteer/ Donor/ Brand Ambassador etc.) and any communications had between the supporter & the charity. 

• Use the CRM System to run supplied data queries to deliver campaigns (e.g. using Mail Merge) and to create and deliver supporter communications, this includes printing and posting letters and sending emails, making updates to supporter records and fulfilling requests for information. 

• Work alongside the Supporter Engagement Officer & Individual Giving Manager to improve the initial welcome for newly acquired regular donors and the onwards stewardship journey for all supporters. Conducting research and contributing ideas to improve the supporter journeys and implementing these processes independently. 

• Undertake other duties and take on a lead role in supporting projects relevant to the purpose of the role as requested by members of the CRM, Marketing, Fundraising or Research & Services teams. 

• Monitor inbound emails to the charity in the supporter care inbox, forwarding to the relevant colleague (if unable to provide a response) or responding and actioning. 

• Monitor incoming calls to the charity through the supporter engagement number, forwarding to the relevant colleague (if unable to provide a response) or responding and actioning. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To have a qualification in a relevant discipline and/or proven experience working in a similar role, such as customer service. 

• To have evidence of continued professional development relevant to the role purpose and level. 

• To have customer service experience in a similar or related role (e.g. telephony/ databases/ office). 

• To have high computer literacy with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. 

• To have previous experience of working with databases (e.g. Access or Raiser's Edge).

• To be happy to work independently and ask for support where this is needed, but also like to both work with and support colleagues as part of a team working towards a common goal. 

• To have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to use active listening skills, and write professionally and appropriately for a range of diverse audiences. Has a good grasp of grammar, spelling and of the spoken word. 

• To have strong organisational skills and performs their work to an extremely high level of accuracy and professionalism, paying close attention to detail. 

• To be able to present data and information in a way that is helpful and actionable to others.

About the role 

Dementia UK is currently seeking a Database Officer to lead on the delivery of processes within the Database Services team.

As Database officer, your primary responsibility will be managing a substantial volume of data files, from a variety of sources seamlessly importing this information into our fundraising database. You will handle supporter data ensuring a high level of accuracy, while being directly responsible for running the majority of data imports as well as handling enquires coming into the Database Services shared inbox and running regular data cleansing routines.

In addition, you will be expected to maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed. Working with the Supporter Care, Finance, and Fundraising teams to ensure income is accurately coded across all fundraising streams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data protection guidelines including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and will bring previous experience in using databases for data entry, maintenance, and importation. A high level of computer literacy is essential, and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is required. Your ability to function effectively within a team, coupled with your initiative in prioritising and organising your workload, will be key to success.

The Finance Officer/Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely finance administration, across two databases (currently Sage and Salesforce).  This is a vital role within HIWCF, as high quality finance information is fundamental to our role and reputation in the region as a trusted partner for our fundholders and grantees.

Key Tasks

· Adding all payments transactions (grants, invoices, salaries, expenses, HMRC payments etc) to Sage and the bank accounts, ensuring all evidence is correct and payments are correctly authorised

· Adding all donation income to Sage and Salesforce, and working with other team members to ensure they are acknowledged appropriately

· Adding all quarterly investment income to Sage and Salesforce and reconciling across both databases, and to the investment house reports and bank account

· Regular reconciliations between Sage and Salesforce and bank accounts

· Ensure HMRC payments and gift aid claims are undertaken in a timely manner

· Manage banking records

· Monthly reconciliations for Bank account, purchase ledger, Sage, Salesforce, prepayments, accruals, salaries, PAYE, pension etc

· Monthly journals for non-cost items

· Manage pension with NEST and other ad hoc pension providers and manage insurances

· Ad hoc finance related tasks including reporting on returned grants, managing pension payments, insurances etc

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Centre Fundraising Organiser to join the team at our Manchester centre.

As an integral member of the fundraising team, you will be based at Maggie’s Manchester and you will assist in delivering a wide range of operational and administrative support, as well as social media activities.

• First point of contact for enquiries from community audiences and suppliers.

• Respond to enquiries from the public, volunteers, fundraisers, etc. (by phone, mail and in person), including responding to requests for information, materials and more.

We are looking to recruit a full-time Volunteer Officer to lead on the recruitment, training, placement and supervision of volunteers across the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. 

In this role, you will work with the Head of HR to build the culture of volunteering at the Trust and work with Volunteer Supervisors to meet the organisations ambitious plans for its volunteering programme and to create and implement solutions to strengthen the volunteer workforce. You will work on key volunteering programmes and proactively seek innovative opportunities to engage partners and staff in volunteering at the Trust such as corporate volunteering programmes and ad hoc event volunteering. 

You will be a core member of the Volunteer Champions group to build a community of volunteers across the organisation. You will proactively visit departments and locations on a regular basis to get to know existing volunteers, gain a full understanding of their roles and contribution, and foster relationships to support volunteer retention. 

To be successful in this role you will have experience of volunteering, understand the part that volunteers can play in an organisation’s success, and be able to advocate for volunteering internally and externally. You will have experience of recruiting and retaining volunteers, you will possess knowledge of volunteering trends and legislation, and have experience of encouraging colleagues to identify, engage and recruit volunteers to support project work and our ambitious plans. 

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be willing to support new and experienced Volunteer Supervisors including coaching them to have brave/difficult conversations. You will be accurate, methodical and well organised in order to manage your own workload, prioritise activities and tasks, and ensure that you meet deadlines.

This is a varied and integral role providing administrative support to Arthritis Action’s Finance, Executive Management, Services Teams and Trustees, working under the supervision of the Operations Manager.  

Your role will provide day to day operational assistance in our London office including: meeting and diary management, writing minutes and providing admin support across the Charity. Liaison with the landlord and office suppliers, assist with finance including processing direct debits, staff credit cards and supplier invoices and compiling monthly reports. You will also be the first port of call for incoming calls and manage incoming/outgoing post and IT administration.

Key Responsibilities – the role will include but not be restricted to:

• Providing admin support to the Finance, Executive Management and Services Teams

• Support CEO with scheduling meetings, database entries and diary management

About

The post-holder will provide effective professional guidance, advice, signposting and sensitive support to residents who are experiencing welfare difficulties of a non-academic nature affecting their ability to learn and maintain a health daily lifestyle.

The role will support individual residents, working in partnership with other departments and colleagues to establish reasonable and effective methods of support or adjustments for residents in situations of difficulty or with challenging circumstances.

Working alongside other department managers, the Resident Welfare Officer will signpost and recommend both internal and external specialist services and treatment providers where necessary. Where appropriate, the Resident Welfare Officer will work directly with residents to limit the impact a problem could have on a residents wellbeing, undertaking individual case work. This role does not directly itself provide specialist practitioner support or clinically qualified treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, advice, support and signposting to residents, responding to and independently resolving a range of welfare queries and issues, within agreed boundaries.
• Provide a non-judgemental, effective and respected service to residents, some of whom may be experiencing challenging situations and require specific advice and support.
• Assess the complexity and risk involved in individual resident cases, referring to the COO or other department managers.
• Provide appropriate short-term support in the event of a resident reporting a serious welfare incident, violence, a hate crime and/or risk of radicalisation.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key contacts across other professional services, as well as external bodies, support groups and professional services, to support own work, including individual resident casework and organised activities
• Monitor Chapel and classroom attendance and where necessary identify and address areas of concern. Oversee the pastoral care, delivered by Mattersey staff, and make any necessary responses to identified areas of concern.
• Promote support services to Mattersey Hall staff to raise awareness of potentially vulnerable residents and encourage and support staff in referral techniques.Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems outside own area, such as developing solutions to welfare related issues that extend across other Green Pastures partnerships.
• Ensue that accurate records, letters and documentation for individual resident are kept.onitor relevant information data and liaise with academic and professional services colleagues to proactively identify and engage those students who appear to be at risk of disengaging with and/or failing in their activities at Mattersey Hall.
• Contribute to proposed changes in procedures, plans, priorities and office systems to improve operational efficiency and quality of the Residents Welfare.
