The Finance Officer is responsible for working within the core Wheels for All team to provide finance team support to the wider programme delivery and national staff team. By working with colleagues to maintain financial systems, accurate record keeping and undertake financial administration they will provide the support required to implement and improve the processes needed to maintain the accurate financial management systems which are crucial to supporting the charity’s mission. This role would suit someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a charity finance role, who has experience or knowledge of all the core accounts department processes and some understanding of different charity income streams. You might be studying for an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT or ACCA) or be qualified by experience. A training package may be available for an applicable accounting qualification.
Salary £25,000- £28,000 FTE, dependent on experience

The Role
As a Deputy Charity Shop Manager you will actively support in leading a team of volunteers to help raise funds to invest in achieving the charity’s strategic goal of saving more lives in Yorkshire.
Supporting the Shop Manager, you will portray the charity as a professional, credible brand which acts with integrity and provide excellent customer service, ensuring volunteers, donors and customers know how their contribution is helping the people of Yorkshire.

This role is part of a small Finance team that supports the work of Headway - the brain injury association. The role is line managed by the Finance Manager and liaises with every team within the organisation.
What you will do
As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the purchase and sales ledgers for both the charity and retail company, supporting colleagues, and resolving queries from suppliers and customers. You will monitor the purchase invoice mailbox and online purchase invoice accounts, ensuring that all invoices are downloaded promptly and passed on to relevant colleagues for authorisation.
You will be responsible for recording all purchase and sales invoices on our accounts system, Exchequer and ensuring that all bank transactions are entered on a timely basis. You will also be responsible for preparing and entering key monthly journals, including but not limited to charity and retail income, charity merchandise sales, depreciation, credit card expenditure, pre-paid rent and service charges. The majority of this work will use our Excel linked auto-loaders, but some manual entry will also be required.
You will complete monthly supplier account reconciliations and be responsible for raising any concerns or discrepancies with the Finance Manager.
You will maintain the stock system for the online merchandise shop, updating it with new stock and prices, using the information from the system to create the monthly cost of sales journal.
The Senior Finance Officer will work with the Finance Manager to ensure that all monthly and month-end routines are completed in line with team and organisational deadlines and complete any other finance tasks that may be required.

About EFA
English for Action provides free, participatory, and empowering English language classes (ESOL) for migrants in London. Our classes are spaces to build community and support students to organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. Our work currently supports around 500 adult migrants across London. We’ve become a national centre of good practice for a radical participatory approach to ESOL, informed by the work of Paulo Freire, and we share this approach through trainings, research and partnerships.

Purpose of Job:
The postholder plays a key role in managing the alumni network, with a specific emphasis on events and volunteer management, to actively engage alumni and stakeholders with Queen Mary’s Grammar School. We have created this role to support both our sheltered houses and our 60 Apartment, Independent Living property , Nonsuch Abbeyfield, in Ewell, where this post is based.
We are looking for a reliable, organised Finance Assistant to take ownership of the day-to-day transactional finance. You will need to have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible, and excellent communication skills. If you enjoy establishing your own organisational systems, we are excited to talk with you. We are looking for someone who can operate effectively with little or no supervision and who can manage multiple tasks at once without becoming overwhelmed.

Our ideal candidate will have a background within the charity/not for profit sector and experience in handling an investment portfolio. The role is home based with some travel in/around Hampshire and the IOW. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge and a step up. Our financial information is highly visible to our donors and grantees, so this role is a crucial enabler for the effective delivery of all areas of our work. The role will be overseen by a part time Finance Manager, who will produce management accounts, annual accounts, budgets, forecasts etc. Part time work will be considered for the right candidate.
The Finance Officer/Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely finance administration, across two databases (currently Sage and Salesforce). This is a vital role within HIWCF, as high quality finance information is fundamental to our role and reputation in the region as a trusted partner for our fundholders and grantees.
Key Tasks
· Adding all payments transactions (grants, invoices, salaries, expenses, HMRC payments etc) to Sage and the bank accounts, ensuring all evidence is correct and payments are correctly authorised
· Adding all donation income to Sage and Salesforce, and working with other team members to ensure they are acknowledged appropriately
· Adding all quarterly investment income to Sage and Salesforce and reconciling across both databases, and to the investment house reports and bank account
· Regular reconciliations between Sage and Salesforce and bank accounts
· Ensure HMRC payments and gift aid claims are undertaken in a timely manner
· Manage banking records
· Monthly reconciliations for Bank account, purchase ledger, Sage, Salesforce, prepayments, accruals, salaries, PAYE, pension etc
· Monthly journals for non-cost items
· Manage pension with NEST and other ad hoc pension providers and manage insurances
· Ad hoc finance related tasks including reporting on returned grants, managing pension payments, insurances etc
· Any other appropriate tasks as directed

The process starts off with an anonymised covering letter and CV. This will be read by at least two people to produce a shortlist for interview.
The first round interviews will be a phone (not video) interview, lasting no more than half an hour, at a time that’s convenient for you.
