An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.
- To know individual learning targets for each pupil in the group(s) and take specific action to enable individual pupil goals be achieved.
- To attend to the general care, maintenance and storage of classroom equipment.
STL 2 – Support Children’s Development
- Observe pupils, sharing observational findings, contribute to the implementation of activities to support development.
- Actively contribute towards record-keeping particularly in respect of pupil learning, therapeutic interventions, behaviour management, child protection and any other specific programme set up for individual pupils by the teacher / Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant / Therapist.
STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
- Report any signs and indicators of possible abuse, being sensitive to the child/young person and circumstances, Identifying, report and record changes in behaviour and physical signs.
- Be aware of and follow plans, risk assessments and record keeping pertaining to individual pupils, including care plans, health care plans, feeding plans, moving and handling and behaviour management plans, actively engaging in relevant training and competencies offered to ensure that you are able to support in keeping all pupils in the class safe.
- Ensure safe transport for all pupils in the class for off site visits.
STL 4 – Contribute to Positive Relationships
- Interact with and respond positively and professionally, to pupils and adults, including colleagues, other professionals and parents/ carers at all times.
- Work collaboratively as part of a class and wider School and organisational team.
- Actively support change where it is required to improve the teaching, learning and meeting of our pupils needs.
STL 5 – Provide Effective Support for your Colleagues
- Work effectively as a team member, being aware of and providing support to colleagues when needed.
- Embrace training and competencies to ensure that all staff in a class team are able to support each other.
- Complete all ‘Universal level training’.
STL 6 / STL 39 – Support Literacy and Numeracy Activities, Communication and Interaction Needs
- Support the delivery of appropriate communication, language and literacy as well as the learning targets related to cognition to individuals, small groups and whole classes of pupils, providing accurate support and feedback to the teacher and pupils.
STL 7 / STL 8 – Support and use Information Communication Technology (ICT) for Teaching and Learning
- Prepare commonly used ICT for use in lessons and be aware of and be able to use hardware and software commonly used in the school.

- Carry out moves and changes of position taking account of the individual’s needs, preferences and their advice on the most appropriate methods and equipment.
- Use moving and handling methods appropriate to the individual’s condition, your personal handling limits and the equipment available.
- Move and change individual’s positions in ways which minimise pain, discomfort and friction and maximise the individual’s independence, self-respect and dignity.
- Observe, record and immediately report any significant changes in the individual’s condition when you are moving them.
- Record details of methods of moving and handling which the individual finds acceptable according to legal and organisational requirements.
- Undertake therapeutic programmes that have been developed by physio and occupational therapists.
STL 14 – Support Individuals during Therapy Sessions
- Receive relevant training from therapists and then implement training and competencies throughout the pupils’ day.
- Be able to articulate the purpose of programmes and ensure their delivery in an integrated way.
- Work with individuals to identify the effectiveness of the therapy sessions on their health and social well-being.
- Check observations with appropriate people and against agreed outcomes.
- Identify any issues or problems in relation to the therapy sessions and work with individuals, key people and others to identify and agree changes to the therapy sessions.
- Record and report on therapy sessions within confidentiality agreements and according to legal and organisational requirements.
STL 16 – Provide Displays
- To produce and maintain displays in accordance with the school’s Display Policy.

- Highlight and praise positive aspects of pupils’ behaviour appropriate to the individual.

- Implement agreed strategies to support pupils with cognition and learning difficulties to learn.

STL 43 – Assist in the Administration of Medication
- Apply standard precautions for infection control and other relevant health and safety measures.

- Contribute to administering and record keeping of medication to individuals in the appropriate manner, using the correct techniques according to the care plan if signed off as competent in doing so.

PDR – Take part in School Staff Development Procedures
- Take part in a performance management programme and work towards specific pupil progress and professional development targets.
- Take part in a staff induction programme, and pursue other training opportunities as agreed with the line manager.
- Take part in staff development days, class team meetings, departmental meetings, whole staff meetings and other occasional meetings held in usual working hours.
- To support students and volunteers who work within the classroom from time to time.

Gresham College is a charity which provides high-quality free education to the public across a broad range of subjects. The College aims to stimulate a love of learning and intellectual curiosity and to champion academic rigor, professional expertise and freedom of expression.
Gresham College has been providing free lectures within the City of London for over 400 years. Lectures are attended by an in-person audience and live-streamed around the world. We have currently had over 51 million online views.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The postholder will be responsible for publicising Gresham lectures and speakers to the media to amplify our visibility, enhance our reputation, and attract new audiences to Gresham.
The post-holder will need to be able to translate complex, technical information into clear and engaging press releases and briefings. They will need to be capable of managing proactive, planned press work but also have the ability to react to events and enquiries as well. They should demonstrate a strong track record of working and placing articles with a variety of national / international / print / digital media outlets.
With help from junior staff, they will also proactively inform additional groups of upcoming lectures – for example, faculty heads / administrators of university programs aligned with the respective lecture topic.
They will build relationships with other organisations in our sector with a view to cross-promotion when appropriate.
Finally, they will serve as the primary liaison for external press agencies enlisted to undertake independent or standalone projects.

Responsibilities
1. Write press releases about key lectures, speakers and series.
2. Disseminate these notices to media contacts (journalists, reporters, bloggers, media outlets) via media relations software, and personal correspondence when appropriate.
3. Build and maintain targeted lists of media contacts within media relations software to increase the efficacy of this work.
4. Act as the liaison between media contacts and Gresham speakers, facilitating collaboration such as the co-authoring of editorials or press interviews.
5. Work with junior colleague(s) to build lists of other contacts who may be interested in particular lectures and manage distribution of information to these groups.
6. Similarly, disseminate lecture information to other broadcast opportunities and platforms, such as membership associations, event-listing websites and newsletters, building reciprocal relationships with sector partners.

Role Summary
The Audience Development Officer will work on the year-round activities designed to encourage and incentivise cinema-going to ensure young people become the paying audience of the future. This role will support multiple pieces of work, recruiting independent cinemas to participate in the Into Film Festival; supporting the summer screenings programme logistics; Into Film Festival programming, uploading, preparing for and supporting the public-facing elements of the festival; and leading the bookings team, and supporting the festival logistics.
Responsibilities Include:
- Liaising with independent cinemas, signing them up to participate in the festival, working on further exhibitor recruitment waves, looking for interesting venues and ensuring all of their details are up to date, e.g. screen technical information, capacities, accessibility, preferred slots & times, staff contact details and uploading this information to the relevant planning documents.
- Working with colleagues on the summer screenings programme – prepping the event listings, looking at target data, liaising with participating exhibitors.
- Contributing to festival programming: ensuring the planning documents are up to date with exhibitors and slots, updated capacities, tech & contact details, and then supporting the programming of films and events.
- Maintaining good relationships with all film industry stakeholders (e.g. film exhibition, distribution & print movement).
- Contributing to regular cross-team meetings, working with various colleagues towards the successful completion of Summer Screenings and the Into Film Festival programmes along with supporting the preparation of the 2025 spring programme.
- Supporting the festival team in ensuring that the events booking website is updated and all programming, images, education resources and other documents are accurately uploaded.
- Line-managing the temporary Festival bookings team, problem-solving and responding to various enquiries, predominantly from educators .
- As bookings team lead, escalating issues as they arise and liaising with the Audience Development Coordinator and Festival Director in resolving all problems.
The Role will also involve:
- Keeping up to date and accurate records of Into Film’s audience development work and partnerships activity in our CRM (Salesforce), pulling reports, and ensuring all data relating to audience development work is stored in a GDPR compliant manner.

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.
Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person

Context of role:
The Director of Operations is a Senior Leadership role supporting the CEO in the strategic leadership and management of 2wish. We are in an exciting transition period where the organisation is expanding and this is a new role in our staff team that has been created to support our ambitious CEO to deliver our new strategic plan whilst ensuring we maintain operational excellence and high performance.

Hours:
Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu
Annual leave:
28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension:
2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Mileage:
A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
Location:
2wish currently offers a form of hybrid working and this will continue for the foreseeable future. This post will continue to include home working, with the expectation on the successful candidate to travel to 2wish Head Office regularly. Reporting Structure
This role sits within the Programmes and Learning (P&L) team, which is part of the broader Policy, Programmes and Learning Team (PPL). The Project Manager will support delivery of St James's Partnership Building Project, that seeks to lay the initial foundations of a rewarding long-term partnership between St James’s and St Pancras Churches in 2024.
Church Profiles
St James’s, Piccadilly
St James’s is a lively, inclusive, and diverse church in central London that welcomes everyone, of all faiths and none, and draws together a wide set of activities, projects, and aspirations. For over 30 years we have had a significant creative arts programme with exhibitions, major festivals and music concerts taking place across the year, as well as debates and lectures. We have a major community outreach programme to support those experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, or seeking asylum, and work actively in prison reform, training, and employment. We provide eight music scholarships every year to support the ongoing work of the church including weddings and memorial services. St James’s has also been actively engaged in environmental initiatives for many years, through its thriving Earth Justice Programme, and was the first urban church to achieve an Eco Church Gold Award. Over 40,000 people visit St James’s every month.
St Pancras, Euston Road
St Pancras Church building, designed by William Inwood was consecrated in 1822 and is Grade I listed. It is a fine Greek revival church and comprises nave, apse, north and south caryatid porches, north and south vestibules and west portico. The church is clad with Portland Stone with terracotta bands of decoration under a combination of lead and latterly a slated nave roof.
The church community has reduced during the pandemic to around 10 active members. A weekly service on Sundays at 10am attracts an average of 25 people. The musical tradition is strong with a professional choir. The church sponsors a very significant food bank provision, located in the parish. The latest quinquennial inspection noted that the building is sound, with no major urgent issues although repair of the historic and distinctive caryatids is a priority over the next 5 years.
Our Partnership
St James’s is at an important moment in its 400-year history. We’re beginning a new chapter with a £20m capital project (‘The Wren Project’), through which we aim to transform our site; making it more relevant to 21st century community needs whilst preserving and narrating its heritage honestly. This transformation is anticipated to disrupt our site for up to 24 months and therefore we will need a temporary home to deliver the full range of our liturgical, outreach, cultural and commercial activities.
St Pancras Church needs revitalisation to re-position it as the heart of its community over the next 5 years. This requires its site to be re-activated liturgically, creatively and commercially to provide sufficient enabling income to staff the space for future events; which in turn will attract more visitors to the site and present more opportunities for the church to engage with their community. It needs help to make that happen.
Given these complimentary needs, and with the conceptual and financial support of our Diocese, both churches will work together in an equal, mutually beneficial partnership,
to better meet their respective needs and fulfil their respective ambitions. The start of this process will be an initial partnership building project.

Purpose of the role
Working with the project board, strand leads and stakeholders at both churches, the Project Manager will be expected to manage daily delivery of our Partnership Building Project, which comprises 4 key strands, each led by a member of staff as follows:
1. Vision, Mission & Leadership - Review and revitalise St Pancras’s pattern of liturgy and prayer, consult and plan for development of congregational growth, review governance arrangements and recruit a new priest as part of the St James's clergy team to take responsibility at St Pancras after Easter 2024.
2. Strategy - Engage St Pancras PCC, Congregation and Stakeholders and form a 3-year strategy (2025/8) that works cohesively with St James's and Wren Project relocation, whilst retaining St Pancras's unique identity and fulfilling its mission and ambitions.
3. Site Improvement - Produce an effective plan to open and improve the St Pancras site so that it attracts more visitors daily and increase site income generation in balance with/alignment to the mission and values of the church.
4. Shared Services - Establish a shared services scheme to provide cost-effective, high-quality back-office support to both churches.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be expected to:

The successful candidate will line manage our instructors, being their first port of call for help and advice and having responsibility for delivering reviews, managing their holiday and agreeing personal development targets.
They will also be responsible for A+’s operational systems, our RBAs and health and safety plans and will oversee our AALA licence and bi-annual inspections.
The successful candidate will be an Event Leader and activity coach modelling high standards of professionalism to our team at all times as they organise and deliver a range of events and activities at the A+ site and across the UK. A+ is at the start of creating a brand new adventure centre. Experience in, and a desire to take a lead in design and construction oversight of the adventure facilities would be very welcome.

Working closely with the training manager, our Senior Instructor will also deliver training courses to our instructor team, Gap Year instructors and external clients. These will be a mixture of in-house and NGB qualifications with the ideal candidate able to deliver and assess Lowland Expedition Leader (LEL3) as well as paddlesport, biking and/or climbing awards.
Most importantly, the successful candidate will be confident to build relationships with young people - inspiring them, building their confidence and equipping them to fully participate in activities; and inviting them back on Total Adventure Holidays.

As a Compton Fundraising Intern, you will:
·Assist in the development of fundraising proposals and supporting materials.
·Contribute to the preparation of newsletters and other mailings to supporters.
·Provide prompt and effective responses to fundraising enquiries and deliver excellent supporter care.
·Assist with the maintenance and updates of client databases to ensure accuracy (training will be provided).

As Human Resources Advisor you'll be joining a small, friendly and supportive HR team providing advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities. This is an additional role providing HR advice and support, primarily for our Key Project at Marylebone. Our Key Projects are at the heart of our Church Army vision and seek to bring transformation to the lives of those they work with.
Around half of our staff work within our Key Projects, so the HR Advisor will be lead for HR advice and support for these colleagues. They will play a key role in developing and strengthening the relationship between the projects and HR and ensure we deliver an effective HR service to the projects which is aligned with the service to the wider organisation. The post holder will work closely with each of the Key Project Leaders in making sure the Christian ethos and values of Church Army are part of the culture and practice of the projects.
The role suits someone who is a HR generalist with strong knowledge of the key HR practices including recruitment and retention, employee relations and development and training. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working in HR and hold a related qualification such as CIPD.
