The main responsibilities of the of Diocesan Housing Surveyor are:

• Inspect Clergy houses and assess repairs and improvements necessary in compliance with Coventry Diocese Clergy Housing Standards.
• Implement the recommendations of the property reports.
• Arrange property inspections and implement the required works with the agreement of the Property Manager.
• Address reactive repairs and ensure works are undertaken and completed in accordance with the Housing Standards.
• Prepare schedules of work and cost budgets, agree these with the Property Manager before tendering to approved contractors.

What we are looking for in a Diocesan Housing Surveyor:

· Driving Licence with access to own car

· Previous experience of managing small works contracts

· Working knowledge of residential building defects and their resolution

· Proven awareness of health and safety with regard to building management and works contracts.

· Being responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of properties whilst remaining within budgetary and time constraints

· Degree Level or relevant experience commensurate to the role

· Evidence for continuing professional development.

· Familiarity using a modern Property Management software package

The senior member of staff is responsible for ensuring the decisions of the Board are acted upon and the charity meets the legal and regulatory requirements of a CIO. The Service:

The service facilitates peer support and delivery of monthly workshops and drop- ins. The service will provide first-class, person-centred information, advice and guidance to people with learning disabilities through both one-to-one and group support.

The Role:

You will provide relevant and accurate information, support, guidance and signposting including both one-to-one and group support for people with complex issues. Support will be flexibly based operating out of a central Bromley office but delivered at various venues across the borough. You will act in a key working capacity where necessary, ensuring services are joined up and holistic, provide advocacy and attend case management meetings as required.

Job Purpose:

The Fundraising and Administration Officer role primarily focuses on providing excellent supporter care and administrative support within the fundraising department. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining supporter relations, optimising fundraising efforts, and ensuring efficient administrative processes are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporter Care:

• To be a first point of contact for the Fundraising Department, answering the phone and meeting and greeting people who arrive to the office.
• Respond to enquiries from supporters, prospective supporters and volunteers via telephone, e-mail, and post, maintaining excellent supporter relations.
• Ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgments, using both standard and bespoke correspondence.

• Create and maintain contact records on Salesforce, ensuring supporter information is kept up to date by recording changes to mailing preferences, gift aid eligibility and contact details etc.
• Database maintenance and housekeeping e.g. identifying and merging duplicate records, removing, or archiving redundant data, adhering to GDPR protocols.

Finance Administration (Training will be provided):

• Efficiently process and reconcile incoming donations, received daily by post, online and phone. Bank cheques and cash on a weekly basis, and process credit card and CAF donations.
• Record all donations to Salesforce, ensuring the accurate coding of income to the correct source and supporter.
• Administer new Direct Debit instructions.
• Support monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating fundraising income received against budget, to inform the management team and provide accurate forecasting.
• Scan and upload credit card statements and invoices for payment by the Finance team.
• Record and reconcile petty cash expenditure.
• Assist the Finance team in the reconciliation of all income received, responding to any queries.

General Office Administration:

• Order office stationery and fundraising supplies, as required.
• Co-ordinate general office maintenance, as required.
• Arrange accommodation for staff travel to Shrewsbury.

The role

We have a vacancy in the North East region for a Project Officer working 21 hours per week. You would be joining a dedicated and friendly team of regional staff and volunteers. The ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player is essential.

It is an exciting time to be joining Cruse, as we are in the process of improving our processes and services to strengthen the support that we offer to bereaved people and our volunteers. The postholder will coordinate and assist with the delivery of all aspects of service contracts in Stockton, supporting the Regional Manager and the wider team. The role is based at our Teesside Office in Middlesbrough, with some home working by agreement subject to service delivery requirements. The postholder must be able to work and travel in and around the Stockton / Teesside area. As the Administration and Liaison Officer you will be the primary point of contact and the face of the Rugby foodbank for all stakeholders.  You will need to have excellent administration and communication skills as you will be our contact point for volunteers, clients, voucher issuing agencies, food and financial donors. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, you will guide the development of the foodbank project including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body.

Your key skills will be effective communication and the ability to work with all types of people from every kind of background. You will engage with volunteers, clients, Trustees and external agencies such as statutory agencies, churches, schools and businesses to maximise engagement. You will need to be a flexible team member with the ability to balance duties according to the needs and opportunities of the organisation. You will be an outgoing self-starter who is confident working on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team.

Our stakeholders are primarily our volunteers, clients, voucher issuing agencies including statutory and community groups, food and financial donors from the community including churches and other faith groups, schools, other charities and businesses, our Trustees and staff.

Crucially, you’ll promote and deliver media coverage/strategies to promote our work with a particular emphasis on promoting our fundraising, campaigning and service activity.

You’ll also be our point of contact for media enquiries we receive. And you’ll support the development and delivery of our digital communications, ensuring we have a strong and representative social media presence.

The chosen candidate will have relevant experience (such as a press office, PR agency or journalism), and be comfortable managing competing priorities as part of a busy team. You’ll have excellent writing and communications skills in Welsh and English, and a positive attitude.

We are looking for a Participant Support and Delivery Officer to join a charity’s team at an important moment in the organisation's growth.

About the role:

In October 2023, the organisation began delivery of Year 1 of their West Midlands based Environmental Leadership Programme in partnership with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust. The role of the Participant Support and Delivery Officer is to work closely with the programmes delivery team across the partnership on the different stages of programme recruitment, delivery and implementation – all to ensure that participants have an excellent experience with us.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of Year 2 participants in the run-up to the programme starting in October 2024 and provide a friendly point of introduction for participants onto the programme. This will include travelling to support the delivery of in-person taster and recruitment activities.
• Supporting the participants and managing their experience before, during and after programmes. This will include working with the programmes team to ensure we have collected all of the participant information we need to be able to assess the success and impact of our programmes and will include communicating with and keeping track of correspondence with participants
• Carrying out monitoring and evaluation activities and analysis of data that will help us measure and communicate our programme impact, including data collection (qualitative and quantitative) that can be used to create a programme narrative
• In Salesforce - undertaking data entry and administration including the production of basic reports and the ongoing development of simple automation that helps us streamline processes across the programme and partnership

About you:

• You are a strong communicator. You think about how to get your message across when you communicate, and in both written and verbal communications you are clear and concise. You are comfortable communicating in both one-to-one and group settings, online and face-to-face.
• You are ‘tech savvy.’ You are comfortable using technology to support your work and that of others. You ideally have experience with tools such as Zoom, Mural and Trello and learning environments such as Notion/ Mighty Networks, or are willing to learn how to use them with support from the team. We also use a system called Salesforce, but we’ll give you the training you need to be able to use this.
