About us:

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and to their friends, families and carers. Our projects empower ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after their surgery and give them the confidence to take on fresh challenges. We advocate for ostomates’ rights and are their voice on the bigger issues. Our campaigns raise awareness of ‘life with a stoma’ and encourage organisations to make their facilities more inclusive.

About the role:

As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). You will lead on the stewardship of events and challenges, including our annual Step Up campaign, by supporting individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities. The post-holder will also support the recording of donations, send appropriate acknowledgements, review fundraising materials, and prepare fundraising content for social media, our website and our quarterly magazine, Tidings.

You will be joining a collaborative and innovative team of individuals who put our community first and are connected by a passion to make a real difference. Practicalities:

This role may involve overnight stays, early mornings, evenings and weekends so flexibility is a must.

There’s an expectation that you will be based at our head office in the first few weeks in post to aid a successful induction period. Following this, you may continue to be office-based full time, or work on a hybrid basis, with at least four days a month spent in our head office (RG41).

The successful applicant will be expected to have a broad understanding of a range of income generation methods and communication styles, and the third sector.

Core role responsibilities

 ·Working alongside the Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy, with a focus on building unrestricted income

·Donor stewardship, including recording and thanking for donations, and other supporter communications, to encourage long-term, repeat support – engaging existing supporters, making them feel valued, proud, and committed to supporting the charity

·Working with our supporters to organise and host interesting activities and events in the community and digitally, to significantly increase fundraising income; ensuring excellent support of their activities during planning and delivery, and arranging attendance from the Colostomy UK team and volunteers as appropriate

·Preparing appealing fundraising materials and content for all types of communications

·Representing and raising the profile of the organisation externally by giving presentations and promoting the need for fundraising among different audiences

·Working with the Marketing & Social Media Executive to ensure fundraising is included in our public-facing communications, to supporters and audiences on social media, in newsletters and on other channels; ensuring our website, social media channels and print material are kept up to date with fundraising news and activities that inspire engagement and giving

·Supporting fundraising with analysis and reports to enable us to continue to build and improve our profile; monitoring engagement and conversions from different fundraising campaigns

Overview of Role

CAT’s Fundraising Team is responsible for raising vital funds for CAT’s core and project work from individuals, trusts and foundations, statutory sources, groups and organisations. To engage and deliver successful strategies for fundraising from trusts and foundations, the postholder will research relevant sources of income; consolidate this funding and project information and provide support for the setting and monitoring of project budgets; keep the project pipeline updated; research, engage and develop relationships with donor prospects and ensure stewardship; submit a rolling programme of applications; and monitor and evaluate feedback. They will also ensure that donors are thanked and receive appropriate recognition, and ensure compliance with CAT’s policies and procedures, whilst maintaining records and managing any reporting requirements.

Main Responsibilities

Trust and foundations:

• To work with the Fundraising Manager and Head of Strategic Funding and Programmes to support the development and implementation of strategies and plans for fundraising from trusts and foundations, including through an audit of trusts and foundations.
• To provide support to lead staff in project development including budget setting, monitoring and reporting
• To research trusts and foundations funding prospects.
• To maintain and further develop a project pipeline and rolling programme of bids.
• To engage with, develop and maintain strong relationships with trusts and foundations and statutory funding bodies.
• To research, complete and submit compelling funding applications, liaising closely with relevant staff within CAT and, where relevant, partner organisations.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Fundraising Assistant to play a key role in the success of our fundraising appeals and campaigns.

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our individual donors, providing outstanding donor care and helping to ensure they have the best possible experience with the Charity. You will work as part of a friendly, supportive team who are dedicated to supporting the work of Nottingham’s hospitals.

You will have strong administration and database skills, and the ability to work on a range of fundraising activities around donor acquisition and retention, helping to raise vital funds for Nottingham’s Hospitals. We are looking for someone who can work effectively on multiple projects, has a keen attention to detail and can communicate confidently and appropriately with a range of audiences.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Centre Fundraising Organiser to join the team at our Manchester centre.

As an integral member of the fundraising team, you will be based at Maggie’s Manchester and you will assist in delivering a wide range of operational and administrative support, as well as social media activities.

Your responsibilities

• First point of contact for enquiries from community audiences and suppliers.

• Respond to enquiries from the public, volunteers, fundraisers, etc. (by phone, mail and in person), including responding to requests for information, materials and more.

• Refer enquiries to the Centre Fundraiser where appropriate.

• Provide and facilitate supporters with a choice of how they fundraise, and work with Maggie’s in line with the national strategy and plan.

• Provide excellent supporter care, which enthuses supporters and encourages commitment and loyalty to Maggie’s.

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently. There will be a requirement to work irregular hours and occasionally travel locally.

The Fundraising Co-Ordinator will raise the profile and awareness of Young Bristol and working with the Head of Fundraising develop a fundraising work plan to qualify and develop a range of key funding streams. The post holder will help to develop and ensure the effective delivery of the fundraising plan in line with Young Bristol’s strategy. The role will be multi faceted involving Grants, Trusts and Foundations, Community fundraising, Corporate fundraising, Legacy fundraising, Events and High Value fundraising.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join NWAA, due to the growth in the charity’s events portfolio. You will report into the Events Manager and support the events and fundraising team, to deliver its ambitious new strategy. Duties will include:

• Supporting the team with event organisation and delivery, including providing excellent support and stewardship.
• Enrolling participants taking part in a calendar of events across the region.
• Meeting fundraisers and re-engaging lapsed supporters to develop long-term relationships and maximise fundraising.
• Providing up to date content for the charity’s internal marketing team, to enable the effective production of regular communications to engage new and existing supporter.

You should be organised, diligent and driven to develop your career in fundraising. It is a varied, busy role so you should be able to work proactively - prioritising and working under pressure to make the most of opportunities. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and the ability to build long standing relationships.

The role will involve attending events in the evenings and weekends so will require a full UK driving license, and access to your own vehicle. 

While charity experience would be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people looking to transfer their skillset into this incredibly rewarding area of fundraising and events coordination.
