The Programme Officer role will report to the Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

The Programme Officer will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a number of our services.  You will have a clear focus of delivering high quality programmes that are run smoothly, efficiently, within budget and achieve the desired outcomes and objectives for both the partners and the young people.

You will support others within your team to deliver high quality programmes from programme initiation through to evaluation that will directly contribute to the company's growth strategy and impact.

The Programme Officer will also be a key member of the department and contribute to systems and maximising efficiency, delivering programme coordination to an excellent standard that produces high impact for our young people and partners.

In this role, you will work closely with our Youth Ambassadors, Facilitator Team and Digital Communications and Marketing team.

Location: Hybrid working – Between office location and home. Minimum 3 days a week in the office in line with fixed rota.

Purpose of the job/About the role

Join Dementia UK as a Gift Processing Officer helping to establish an excellent level of financial processing that will underpin the growth in fundraising activity across a range of income streams.

Working within the supporter care team you will be responsible for processing a high volume of donations. You will ensure that that all processing is accurate and timely in order to provide an excellent supporter experience for all Dementia UK donors & supporters. Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, the Gift Processing Officer will handle post, cheques, cash and charity vouchers, working carefully with our database to record income and thank all supporters who give to Dementia UK.

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in database management, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and strong numeracy skills. You will have high computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and adapt to changing demands in a busy environment.

The Role 
 
As our Supporter Engagement Assistant, you will join our Fundraising Team to help us build strong and lasting relationships with our charity's supporters and donors.  

Reporting to the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will deliver excellent customer service over the telephone, in written (email and postal) communications and face to face and ensure that supporters' details are accurately recorded on the CRM database. You will be representing the charity, explaining its purpose, and demonstrating our charity values to donors/supporters, showing appropriate empathy to those who may have cancer or a family member/friend who does.  

This role provides a great opportunity to make a real difference to the people of Yorkshire and requires someone with a friendly manner, good team-working skills, great customer service and excellent organisational skills.  
 

Specifically, you will: 

• Ensure supporter communications are accurate, timely and appropriate to the recipient. This includes following the relevant pathways to process donations, record legacy pledges, update key information so that the communication is tailored and relevant to the individual supporter. 

• Update supporter records on our database to reflect changes in marketing permissions, personal details, the charity's relationship with the supporter (e.g. Volunteer/ Donor/ Brand Ambassador etc.) and any communications had between the supporter & the charity. 

• Use the CRM System to run supplied data queries to deliver campaigns (e.g. using Mail Merge) and to create and deliver supporter communications, this includes printing and posting letters and sending emails, making updates to supporter records and fulfilling requests for information. 

• Work alongside the Supporter Engagement Officer & Individual Giving Manager to improve the initial welcome for newly acquired regular donors and the onwards stewardship journey for all supporters. Conducting research and contributing ideas to improve the supporter journeys and implementing these processes independently. 

• Undertake other duties and take on a lead role in supporting projects relevant to the purpose of the role as requested by members of the CRM, Marketing, Fundraising or Research & Services teams. 

• Monitor inbound emails to the charity in the supporter care inbox, forwarding to the relevant colleague (if unable to provide a response) or responding and actioning. 

• Monitor incoming calls to the charity through the supporter engagement number, forwarding to the relevant colleague (if unable to provide a response) or responding and actioning. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To have a qualification in a relevant discipline and/or proven experience working in a similar role, such as customer service. 

• To have evidence of continued professional development relevant to the role purpose and level. 

• To have customer service experience in a similar or related role (e.g. telephony/ databases/ office). 

• To have high computer literacy with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. 

• To have previous experience of working with databases (e.g. Access or Raiser's Edge).

• To be happy to work independently and ask for support where this is needed, but also like to both work with and support colleagues as part of a team working towards a common goal. 

• To have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to use active listening skills, and write professionally and appropriately for a range of diverse audiences. Has a good grasp of grammar, spelling and of the spoken word. 

• To have strong organisational skills and performs their work to an extremely high level of accuracy and professionalism, paying close attention to detail.

Main duties and responsibilities:

IT

You will be working with children and families to provide trauma informed support with the aim of reducing trauma symptoms and rebuild relationships.

About you

You will have previous administration experience and strong IT knowledge, including experience of using Microsoft Office with the ability to produce reports and presentations within Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Though the role is a hybrid role it would be beneficial if you had experience of working within an office environment.

Good financial understanding of management accounts including working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger as well as petty cash, credit card reconciliation is key.

About the role

As a Business Support Officer, you will support individual areas and provide positive and timely business support for the Care and Support function to meet their delivery of organisation business processes. This will include finance, data gathering, employee engagement/support (on-board/off-board) as well as mobile phone device management and registered area office management.

Whilst individual roles will be based locally within an area office (within the geographical region), the Business Support Officer will be part of the wider Business Support team for the Region and will report to the respective Regional Business Support Manager who will determine working patterns in collaboration with the Registered Area Managers.

Responsibilities include

- Invoicing and PO support
- Raising invoice recharges and journals including for example, online purchases for people we support, emergency cash advances, fuel, mileage and service car leases
- Income returns and support local banking
- Credit card reconciliations
- Petty cash management
- Fundraising income support
- Reward and Recognition support including for example, localised support for GEM vouchers, Refer a Friend process support and any other related organizational reward and recognition initiatives.
- Daily operational tasks e.g. answering the phone / responding to emails
- Dealing with support queries and redirecting appropriately
- Looking after incoming and outgoing post
- Liaising with visitors and contractors
- Employee / engagement support
- Fleet management support
- Agency support
- Health and safety management

Victim Support is proud to have been commissioned to provide an Affected by Crime (ABC) service across Humberside which will provide a single point of contact for victims of all crime, whether or not they have reported to the police, to receive support and information.

The ABC service will be a valuable point of contact for anyone affected by crime at any time to contact and receive help, support and information. It will be a busy and fast paced hub, receiving calls of varying nature from a variety of people.

We have opportunities available to work within the Humberside ABC service and are looking for dedicated, passionate and empathic people to join and enhance our team.

The role of Initial Support Agent (known internally as a Triage and Early Interventions Officer (TEIO)) is a fast paced one which requires the post holder to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to victims of crime and those accessing the Affected By Crime (ABC) service in Humberside.

The role will include calls to and from individuals, as well as administration of cases on the case management system, needs assessing and providing early intervention support.

About the role:

Your role as a TEIO will be to answer and speak to incoming callers as well as to hold a caseload and make outgoing calls to those affected by crime. You will be the primary contact for the Hub across Humberside and will be the face of the service.

As a TEIO, you will;

• answer incoming calls, speak to those affected by crime and hold a caseload
• make outgoing calls, assess needs and risks and action plan with callers
• work on the case management system to allocate cases, provide administration on cases and assess/ensure data quality
• liaise with other agencies where required to find out more information, give information or make referrals or give signposting information
• work with the wider team to ensure an effective, trauma informed service is given to those affected by crime

You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.

You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.
