We are seeking a creative, relational and faith-filled Christian Youth & Community Worker to pioneer and grow youth ministry among 11–18s in Furzedown and the wider local community.

· Is excited by both hands-on youth work and long-term vision building
· Can develop engaging youth programmes, discipleship opportunities and community outreach
· Enjoys working collaboratively within a church and community setting
· Will become an active part of the worshipping and relational life of the church
The role includes:
· Leading weekly youth sessions and discipleship groups
· Building connections with local schools and the wider community
· Mentoring and supporting young people pastorally
· Developing volunteers and young leaders
· Helping shape intergenerational worship at MLBC
· Creating welcoming spaces where every young person is valued and included
The role includes regular evening and Sunday working as part of the contracted hours, with active participation in Sunday worship forming a core part of the role. We are also open to conversations around part-time working, job share arrangements, paid student placements linked to relevant training courses.
Location: Mitcham Lane Baptist Church, Furzedown, South London
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,000–£32,500 (depending on experience)
Contract type: 3 Year Fixed-Term Contract

As Viva’s Marketing & Creative Executive, you will play a key role in our Fundraising & Engagement team as you develop and deliver high-impact content across a wide range of media. Whether online or in person, your work will inspire new and existing supporters, build new community and enable Viva’s mission to be more widely known.
You’ll need to be creative, curious and adaptable to digital trends so that you can deliver authentic, impactful stories. You’ll be quick and eager to learn, and keen to start or develop your career in digital media and marketing. And while you enjoy working closely with a global team, you will also be self-motivated and proactive.
Through your role, you will play a vital part in making it possible for Viva to achieve its goal of enabling more children to live life in all its fullness.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Social Media: leading and managing Viva’s social media channels by maintaining and developing current platforms while building a strong and growing community.
· Event and Campaign Marketing: planning and monitoring Viva’s marketing for campaigns and events, as well as representing Viva at events.
· Graphic Design and Creative Content: designing and creating engaging digital content.
· Supporter Communications: enabling Viva’s supporters to experience great communications.
Location: this role can be remote, hybrid or office-based in Viva’s Oxford office with occasional travel in the UK
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Part-time hours would be considered for the right candidate
Salary: £27,500 per annum (full-time salary)

The role ensures that young people are welcomed, discipled and supported as they grow in faith and connection to the church community. The Youth Pastor will be responsible for developing a
culture of belonging, spiritual growth and mission among the youth, equipping young people and volunteers for effective ministry.
A core part of this vision is our ministry and mission with young people. Having held high value on children and young people’s work for decades, we are currently placed 13th nationally in the Church of England’s figures for weekly attendance of 0s-18s. We sense God is doing new thing here as part of a vision to see all ages come to vibrant faith and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
