Location: Flexible, based at our office in Aldgate East, with travel throughout the London region and occasional remote working.

We are looking for an experienced Youth Worker, to deliver training sessions and projects to young people through youth centres, community groups, schools and alternative provisions across the London Region, and to ensure our programmes are fit for the future.
 

We are an award-winning national charity which trains over 9,500 young people affected by street violence each year in emergency first-aid through a team of 350 healthcare volunteers and youth workers. We empower young people with the skills to become part of the solution to violence by developing the skills and confidence to save lives and increasing their understanding of the medical and psychological consequences of violence.

As the StreetDoctors Youth Worker in the Region, you will deliver high quality training, develop new partnerships and maintain positive relationships.

The key areas of focus include:

● To deliver training sessions to young people and partners to required quantity and quality, and support the development, testing and implementation of new training content.

● To create, develop and maintain partnerships with a range of organisations including, funders, commissioners, community organisations, criminal justice organisations, education providers and youth organisations.

● To support the management of volunteers and provide the best volunteering experience possible.

This important role will represent FareShare Sussex & Surrey engaging with corporate partners and key stakeholders such as council leaders, politicians and dignitaries across the region. 

Using your experience in engagement and relationship management you will work to consolidate existing partnerships and seek new opportunities across Sussex & Surrey, working to build strong relationships locally and encourage partnership, donations, sponsorships and corporate volunteering. The development team has an ambitious target of £1 million to raise, through various streams including corporate partnerships, individual giving, trust applications and other fundraising activities each year. The role will manage the corporate income stream and requires collaboration with all income generation to ensure effective management and stewardship of all partners.

You will develop an exciting donor journey which engages and encourages support from businesses and key stakeholders. Working with high-value supporters to maintain a good relationship with the organisation and fostering new partnerships. 

You will also work alongside our food Supply Manager to help provide a holistic partnership with our suppliers, encouraging them to support our work across the ESG / CSR spectrum.

Duties and responsibilities  

Business Development and Relationship Management 

• Act as main point of contact for existing corporate partners and stakeholders

• Build strong relationships through a stewardship programme to engage with partners in a variety of ways on a regular basis

• To provide the highest quality supporter care, working in partnership with the business to engage with its staff, maximising fundraising and retain support for the long term

• Support with engaging FareShare national partners where required

• Capture feedback from businesses to adapt our propositions

New Business

• Work closely with the Development Team to identify new business opportunities (including charity of the year partnerships) and to develop new relationships with stakeholders across Sussex and Surrey

• To research and approach companies to maximise fundraising opportunities,Develop and promote sponsorship opportunities and corporate partnership offerings

• Create engaging proposition presentations to approach new businesses engaging with them and s other such stakeholders regularly, hosting visits and attending meetings where necessary

Reporting and Monitoring

• Provide regular reporting for trustees and the Development Team

• To monitor and evaluate all aspects of the partnership, reporting on income and engagement.

Black Rootz is a multigenerational growing project providing opportunities for Black and racially minoritised people to grow food for themselves, their families and their communities. Black Rootz was established in 2019 by a collective of Black growers in Haringey who recognised the need to organise to challenge the deep inequalities in the growing and food systems. Over the past 5 years, Black Rootz has developed a holistic practice for Black and racially minoritised communities incorporating intergenerational knowledge transfer, increased access to land and food sovereignty, regenerative environmental practices and reduced food inequality.

Black Rootz has been incubated as a project within The Ubele Initiative since 2019. As an established name in the growing community, it is now building towards an independent future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Manager is a new role that will provide hands on management capacity to Black Rootz. The role will bring experience and energy to support the delivery and continued development of the project’s core activities; the Community Growing Programme and a new workshop series. The Project Manager will take on a management position and, with support from Ubele, help the project to navigate decisions that will enable Black Rootz to achieve its overall social, environmental, and operational ambitions. 

The successful candidate will be central in Black Rootz’ journey towards a more independent and sustainable future. The Role 

JLGB are recruiting a Finance & Fundraising Coordinator who will play a vital role in helping the charity achieve its financial, fundraising and organisational objectives. Supporting the Director of Operations & Finance, the role is essential for the smooth running of the charity’s finances, collaborating with teams across JLGB, as well as volunteers and external suppliers. With some support from JLGB’s administration team, you will be undertaking all financial transactions including payment runs, bank and income reconciliations. Managing our donor database, ensuring that Gift Aid is collected regularly. The position will be suitable for someone who has experience in these areas and is flexible, reliable, highly numerate and interested in working to support young people to reach their potential. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Processing and reconciling various financial administrative tasks, including petty cash and incoming card payments (via stripe and other card processors) 

• Providing effective financial administrative support to all JLGB programmes and functions 

• Providing support to the Finance Director and assisting with management accounts 

• Preparing expenditure reports for the senior leadership team, finance sub-committee, Trustee Board, funders and stakeholders 

• Validating and processing weekly expenses 

• Ensuring that Gift Aid is collected on a regular basis 

• Managing our Donor Database 

• Supporting with Income generation and fundraising events. 

• Supporting the delivery of the year-end financial reporting 

• Ensuring that financial documents are filed

As Corporate Partnerships Manager across the South of England, you'll get more people involved in change that means everything.

What's the story?

Due to the growth of the regional corporate partnership portfolio, we are recruiting to a brand-new role joining the team to help deliver on some exciting corporate partnerships. You'll identify and secure new corporate partnerships, as well as support the work of the wider UK team. This role will give you the chance to change the future for thousands of children.

About the team

You'll join one of the longest established, national corporate teams in the third sector, with a track record of working with some of the largest and most dynamic businesses in the country. It has delivered strategic partnerships, commercial activity, and all sizes of Charity of the Year programmes.

They are incredibly passionate and committed to professional development and helping individuals to achieve their career goals and aspirations, which is at the heart of the team ethos. Previous members of the team have gone on to progress their careers in specialist fundraising positions and leadership positions within the NSPCC and at other well-known organisations.

About you

Your focus will be to identify, develop and win new corporate support through commercial, strategic opportunities and Charity of the Year partnerships. You will also manage some of the teams existing and future accounts, providing creative account management to maximise the impact for partners.

• You feel confident in building and maintaining relationships with existing supporters and generating new leads with cold and warm prospects.
• With the right support, you'll feel confident in talking about the NSPCC in a way to influence others and secure partnerships, in both a one-to-one environment and to large audiences.

Working environment and benefits

This role is primarily home based, with an expectation to travel freely across your designated region (travel expensed), plus occasionally travel to other parts of the country for team meetings, training and to support the wider team.
