Job Description

Hammersmith & Fulham Mind (HFMIND) is an independent mental health advocacy provider working with people living in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. We work with service users in acute inpatient settings and in the community. We currently have a vacancy in the team for Community Advocate/IMHA. The post holder will be based at Lillie Road and will also need to work from the advocacy office at the mental health unit at Charing Cross Hospital. The role will involve service delivery, outreach and awareness in the community.

We are looking for an innovative individual, committed to upholding the rights of mental health service users, to join our staff team to provide advocacy support in community settings across Hammersmith & Fulham.

We are a dynamic organisation offering opportunities to develop your advocacy skills and practice in a supportive working environment.

The successful applicants will have experience of working in a community setting and will have a good understanding of advocacy practice and principles as well as a good knowledge of statutory service provision in health and/or social care. Ideally you will be IMHA qualified but IMHA training can be provided for an outstanding candidate.

 Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Salary: Care worker plus 3 points (IMHA qualified – CW plus 4)
£24,525 – 26,658 (pro rata)

Contract: 3 month fixed term to start
