This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. Your role will be working intensively with the residents on their supports needs. The role of Complex Needs Project Worker is a specialist role, designed to work with people who may be more difficult to reach and establish working relationships with. As such, you will role model good practice for working with those who have experienced multiple disadvantage by adopting a trauma informed approach.
Within this setting, you will also work to establish a culture of co-production where residents are at the forefront of the work that is carried out, helping to promote autonomy and build individual confidence and interpersonal skills.
The rota for the post is earlies (8 am - 4 pm) and lates (2.30pm - 10.30pm).
About you:
- Previous experience of working with female rough sleepers or people with complex mental health, physical health or substance use support needs.
- An understanding of working with people using person-centred approaches and working collaboratively within a harm minimisation and recovery framework.
- A flexible, innovative and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage and challenging client group, is also required.

To be successful in this role:

You will have sound knowledge and experience to interpret, analyse and document results from charity Programmes in writing through a variety of publications, including donor reports and guidelines/toolkits in a clear and succinct manner. You will have experience of working with highly sensitive data, and excellent and proven analytical skills working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including advanced skills on excel, and case management systems. Bringing a successful track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and managers, plus developing networks and partnerships.

Charity People are recruiting a temporary Office & Operations Manager to join a fantastic small charity based in Ilford, who strive to help improve local communities in a number of ways. This charity has recently rebranded and is going through a period of growth, which has been very positive and has proven to be an exciting time, particularly to join the organisation.
They require an experienced Operations Manager, with strong Office Management skills to join them in May to take a lead in looking after the operational side of the charity and hold the fort, and ensure the charity is running smoothly. This is an integral role for the charity, and will entail working across the charity, with all teams. Typical day to day duties will include general administration, health and safety in the workplace, archiving, ensuring the teams have office supplies, support on any governance, liaising with trustees, pulling reports, and managing the HR system ensuring the administration is up to date, and being involved in any recruitment and onboarding.
You will bring knowledge and experience of improving processes, working on a HR system, Excel, management of new suppliers and contract management. This will be a varied role and requires the successful candidate to join their colleagues in the office a few days per week to ensure you are being able to achieve what is required in the role, in terms of the smooth running of the organisation. You will be a self-starter, independent, who has brilliant verbal and written communication skills.

At London City Mission, we estimate that one in two Londoners, that’s roughly 4.5 million people, are unlikely to hear the gospel in their lifetime. As a Mission, we are partnering with churches who have a growing passion for reaching out to their neighbourhoods with the good news of Jesus Christ, but who need equipping and building up for this crucial work. This role is, therefore, Church mobilisation role.
We are seeking candidates for a Missionary role who have a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus with specific groups of Londoners, but who can also come alongside churches to train and inspire Christian believers to reach their local communities with the hope of the gospel. We are recruiting to the following roles:

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a love for those least likely to hear of Jesus and marginalised people groups of London; a track record in evangelism amongst those from the particular specialism group; and the ability to inspire others in churches across a geographical area to get involved in ministry. They will work alongside and equip church volunteers for outreach amongst the people groups in their communities, working as part of an experienced gospel ministry team. They will also need to be able to raise ministry personal support, including a target financial support as well as prayer supporters for the work of the Mission through personal and church partnership networks.
These positions are full-time, permanent appointments. Starting salary is £21,720 per annum plus £1,100 per month housing allowance (taxable). Mission housing will be discussed with successful candidates after probation. Targets for personal financial support will be £8,500 for the year 2024.
There is an occupational requirement that the persons appointed be an evangelical Christian. Occupational Requirement provision of the Equality Act 2010 applies. The appointed candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check.

As part of this work, our Insights Team generates actionable insights to inform and deliver the Trust’s programmes of work, and the Research and Policy Assistant is integral to this.
We are looking for a Research and Policy Assistant to contribute to and support the Trust’s research, evaluation and policy monitoring activity. This includes collecting and communicating research and policy evidence and information, to inform the development of the Trust’s current and potential programmes of work.
An understanding of different types of research methods and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. Knowledge of the barriers experienced by disabled people and those living with mental health conditions as well as an understanding of local and national policy context are welcomed.
