Role Summary

This role, based in Scotland (working remotely) , is crucial in driving forward support for, engagement with, and coordination of high-quality and high-impact multi-day work experiences for high-need young people across the UK. Experts in the coordination and delivery of multi-day work experiences, working closely with UK-wide employers and education establishments in Scotland.

The starting salary for this role is £30216, rising to £32706 after a suucessful year in role.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Strategic purpose:

• Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Experience opportunities from initial programme scoping with non-income generating employers to securing commitments, monitoring young person applications, programme design and implementation, and employer follow up.
• Nurturing relationships with existing schools and colleges in Scotland and onboarding new establishments

Employer Engagement:

• Responsible for account management of corporate partnerships as agreed by the development team
• Securing commitment from employers to deliver multi-day work experience opportunities.
• Account management for employers throughout their work experience journey.
• Supporting the account management of corporate partners by delivering on their work experience programmes as agreed by the business development team and coordinating with other programme teams to ensure committed delivery takes place.
• Training employers to use SfS products in the coordination and delivery of their placements, including but not limited to Portal and Google Classroom.
• Working closely with Delivery Partners to ensure seamless delivery of work experience opportunities.
• Leading on all employer engagement and meetings with your dedicated accounts.
• Developing and disseminating impact reports to employers at the end of their contract and in line with impact and evaluation framework.
• Working closely with Education team to ensure school engagement in areas of work experience activity and in line with charity’s target areas.

School Engagement:

• Training and supporting users to maximise the opportunity to their students accessing our programmes through our platform
• Delivering training sessions to schools and colleges on our programmes and building on engagement in Scotland. 
• Building partnerships as determined by national education strategy to maximise our impact.
• Developing long-standing relationships with school and college contacts to enable engagement in and implementation of our product offer.
• Build a network of educational contacts, ensuring elevated level of customer service and reporting opportunities and feedback to National Education Manager (North)

Delivery:

• Providing best practice guidance and advice on work experience programme set up and content.
• Responsible for delivery and completion of own work experience placements and the operational and administrative activity required.
• Providing cover and support for other Work Experience Managers as required.
• Taking ownership of own capacity management using capacity management frameworks to help inform future workload planning.
• Adherence to data compliance, standards, guidelines and best practices to ensure our data integrity and consistency.
• Retain our registered schools and colleges in our network and increase engagement levels in all programmes.
• Ensuring all data relating to school and college engagement is accurate, recorded and presented in reports when required.
• Networking to collaboratively build brand awareness of Speakers for Schools across all partners and organisations working in the Education landscape. 
• Supporting the wider UK Education Strategy for Speakers for Schools

We are currently recruiting for a F2F Fundraising Performance Coach's. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of excellent fundraising results and fundraising compliance standards and specifically the delivery of performance improvements in our F2F fundraisers through coaching, training, and continuous development. The role will also involve direct fundraising where you will be expected to meet a personal target.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for coaching the performance of multiple teams in the region that will consist of lone workers, pairs of fundraisers to bigger teams as the income plan increases.
• Responsible for an individual fundraising target and set of KPI’s that include inspiring people to become long-term monthly donors, generating income through contactless one-off donations and acquiring newsletter prospecting sign ups in a range of locations including residential door-to-door, town and city centres, private venues, and events and more commonly on our private land, the canal and river Towpaths.
• Acting as a hands-on fundraiser who leads by example, delivering fundraising income through signing up Friends and generating contactless income whilst demonstrating the Canal & River Trust ‘s values and behaviours.
• Generating income and being present on-site to visit fundraising teams, fundraise with them, cover sickness absence, coach performance, provide training & development of fundraisers, reinforce our culture of health & safety, embed compliance standards.
• Provide phone coaching and in-person coaching of fundraisers to support meeting their targets and KPI’s and in individual cases working with fundraisers to improve their results from their current level of performance to the required standard by equipping them with the technical and psychological training to work to their very best.
• Identify training requirements and deliver on and off field training and coaching to grow income.
• Apply the highest standards of professionalism integrity, work ethic and follow the Trust’s code of conduct consistently the core values of Excellence, Caring, Open, Local, and inclusive.
• Undertake mystery shopping, observations and internal quality control auditing of values, behaviour, and fundraising technique.

• Working with our partner recruitment agency to arrange interviews, send out communications to candidates and sit on the interview panel with the aim of recruiting and onboarding new F2F fundraisers into the F2F programme.
• Support the delivery of performance incentives and setting up/editing teams on Evergiving and the rota.
• Provision of daily reports of observations and actions taken, areas of success, results for that day and areas of training and development identified.
• Process all sensitive and data protected information obtained by donors as confidential and in a safe and secure manner in line with the Trust’s GDPR and Security Procedures.
• Carrying out Daily Compliance training, Charity conversation, case for support and storytelling practice and Health and Safety training sessions as per directed by the Regional F2F Fundraising Manager.
• Manages feedback and complaints in a professional manner and follows the complaints process and communicates details to Regional F2F Fundraising Manager so it can be addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Driver’s License is essential (requirement for Business insurance)

Working for the Head of National Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for securing income-generating corporate partnerships to drive forward engagement across the whole Speakers for Schools proposition.

Trust Fundraiser and Case for Support Officer

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

This is an exciting time for the trusts and case for support team at Sue Ryder. Following a highly successful year, the team has grown its pool of supporters and is now enlarging in size, ready to engage more trusts who can help us achieve our new organisational, five-year strategy. Building on an existing base of warm supporters, this new role will focus on raising additional grants in the region of £10,000 - £30,000 as well as helping refresh case for support materials for fundraising colleagues across Sue Ryder.

About you:

A passionate and proactive fundraiser, with experience of cultivating and securing gifts over £10,000 and the ability to create fruitful relationships in order to collect information and collate persuasive case for support briefs. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal skills and a talent for establishing rapport. You will relish connecting trust donors to brilliant projects that require funding and be motivated by the opportunity to make tailored fundraising approaches to them.

About the role:

This role plays an integral part in building and maintaining relationships both within Sue Ryder’s own service teams and a variety of external trust and foundation supporters, at all levels. This role is establishing Friends of the Earth’s flagship environmental leadership programme with young people in Belfast and surrounding areas. The programme, People Planet Place, uses community organising methodology to support marginalised young people to develop and deliver their own environmental justice campaigns as a team within their Further Education college or Youth Work setting. This is a new role in Belfast that will work alongside an existing Youth Campaign Coach based in Derry/Londonderry.

This work has been made possible by a four year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. Enormous thank you to the fund for enabling a new generation of young people in Northern Ireland to campaign to protect our world.

Job purpose: 

To deliver Friends of the Earth Northern Ireland’s inclusion programmes with working class, disabled, LGBTQIA+ and racialised young people in Further Education and youth work settings across Northern Ireland, with a focus in the greater Belfast area. This includes:

1. Responsibility for direct project delivery in colleges and youth groups; 
2. Co-delivery with college and youth work staff so they can subsequently run the programme independently; and 
3. Coordinating a professional network of youth work and environmental organisations to increase access to environmental campaigning opportunities for marginalised young people in Northern Ireland.

The direct delivery involves leading recruitment and induction of small teams of young people followed by support in the form of training, coaching and resources to help them to implement environmental campaigns in their colleges, youth groups and communities.

Projects may vary but the focus will be on supporting 16-25 year olds within Further Education and Youth Work settings to learn about environmental justice and become skilled campaigners. Work will include follow up support for alumni of the programme to continue their campaigning journey.

This role is pivotal in expanding our network of supporters, donors, and partners to generate crucial funds in support of our mission. ROLE

Stella Maris is growing as a charity, in terms of income generation and new programmes of activity around the world. To help support this development, we have created this new important role. The Fundraising & Communications team at Stella Maris comprises about 12 staff members (some full time; some part time).  The team and the charity have now reached the point in their evolution where we need to appoint a Major Donor Manager. This post holder will offer excellent stewardship to our existing Major Donors. He/she will also help to identify and cultivate new potential Major Donors from within and outside our existing pool of individual donors. He/she will substantially grow the Major Donor income stream for the charity. He/she will cultivate and steward Major Donors to give in new and more impactful ways, will increase giving levels, will increase the number of Major Donors, and will create lasting and meaningful relationships with our most committed and generous supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and effective Major Donor fundraiser. The postholder will help us, as a leading maritime charity, to achieve our mission to support seafarers, fishers and their families around the world.

MAIN PURPOSE

The Major Donor Manager, reporting into the Director of Development and working with some guidance from the Head of Major Gifts, will maintain and grow a stable pipeline of income from Major Donors. He/she will secure unrestricted and restricted income from a portfolio of Major Donors to support the activities of the Stella Maris network in the UK and overseas. He/she will produce cultivation plans for individual Major Donors, meet them, craft tailored applications and reports for them.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Manage relationships with a portfolio of Major Donors in accordance with the Charities fundraising strategy and giving programme activity.

2 Establish individual donor cultivation, engagement and stewardship strategies, ensuring each prospect and existing donor has an appropriate communications and cultivation programme in place.

3 Ensure that donor profiling and research activity is undertaken on existing and potential Major Donors (within data protection regulation guidelines) in order to enhance and develop relations.

4 Identify potential Major Donors from within the Mid-Value Donor portfolio and help graduate them up to Major Donor giving levels.

5 Working with the Governance and Executive team, conduct meetings and visits with individual Major Donors around the UK.

6 Accompany Major Donors on port visits within the UK and possibly abroad.

7 Craft carefully tailored applications, thank you letters and reports for Major Donors.

8 Support other senior staff and stakeholders, such as Trustees, in cultivating relationships with Major Donors by providing research and other information as required, and bringing them to meetings with Major Donors when appropriate.

9 Build and cultivate relationships with intermediaries, e.g. wealth advisers, lawyers.

10 Arrange events for Major Donors.

11 Ensure that all activity is recorded accurately on the charity’s Customer Relationship Management database, and that actions are undertaken in a timely and professional manner. 

12 Extract monthly reports on activity levels with Major Donors, e.g. number of contacts, meetings, asks, etc., and circulate this internally to selected senior staff members.

This role will be a crucial part of Baytree’s Adult Education team, which currently consists of an Academic Manager, one other Academic Administrator (who is reducing her working hours after many years of service for Baytree), two ESOL tutors and the Women’s Service Director.  This new role will work collaboratively with the current Academic Administrator and the rest of the team to ensure the delivery of relevant and high-quality academic, adult education programmes in accordance with secured funding contracts.  The primary focus of these roles is to recruit, welcome and guide potential new students through the admissions process and undertake the administrative tasks necessary to ensure the smooth running of the Adult Education department, particularly the planning and delivery of high quality, relevant adult education courses.

Salary: £34,834 starting salary (salary range will increase to a max £37,336 via the length of service) per annum pro rata plus £4,087.65 Inner London Weighting if based in London per annum pro rata. 

Contract: Permanent basis

Hours: Full-time. 35 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks). Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu should be claimed.

Location: Any Refugee Action Office: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bradford.  We will consider UK-based hybrid working option. (Some travel in the UK with occasional overnight stays away from home may be required).

About the post 

This exciting role would mean joining Refugee Action at a crucial point in the charity’s 40-year history, full of opportunity and potential. You will use your creative skills to support the creation of innovative digital content to engage and mobilise existing supporters and add to Refugee Action’s rapidly growing audience. Working between the fundraising and campaigns team, this role will support the Digital Communications Manager to deliver our ambitious digital strategy, focusing on the development of engaging digital content, the management of one of our key supporter databases, and will lead on the engagement and retention work which supports Refugee Action’s fundraising and campaigning.

• Desirable: knowledge of Facebook advertising, including the set-up, management and analysis of ad performance.
• Experience using Adobe creative software – particularly InDesign and Premiere.
• Experience of using Engaging Networks or similar system or proven ability to learn new systems quickly.

This is a new role working closely with the Head of Finance to support NFCC to manage our contracts and written agreements from drafting to completion. The role will work to support the wider staff team. 

What you will be doing: 

• Drafting and/or amending and negotiating contracts and other written agreements, such as Data Sharing Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements/Non-Disclosure Agreements, taking into consideration any relevant funding terms and conditions.
• Drafting and/or amending and negotiating other types of agreements from time to time as instructed 
• Working with the NFCC staff team to produce relevant documentation required for procurement processes 
• Completing research and due diligence checks on potential suppliers or partners 
• Articulating, capturing and implementing contractual issues 
• Negotiating contract terms with both internal and external entities 
• Reviewing existing contracts and updating them 
• Support contract owners to ensure effective monitoring of contractual performance
• Analysing risks associated with specific contract terms 
• Creating language standards for new contract documents or existing ones 
• Providing detailed reporting to the involved parties at the end of a contract 
• Producing timely and relevant reporting on procurement and contract activity. 
• Managing the insurance renewal processes for the organisation. 

Who we are looking for: 

A proactive, analytical individual with experience of draft contracts and other written agreements. You will need to have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable using MS Office applications and other IT systems such as Sage.
