About the role
The Institut français du Royaume-Uni is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Patrons’ Circle & Sponsorship Activation to lead the development of its patron engagement programmes and sponsorship (in-kind) activation strategy across the Institut’s major cultural events and flagship seasons.
This senior role has three core objectives:
- to grow and structure the Institut’s existing Patrons’ Circle;
- to create and launch a new Young Patrons Circle aimed at engaging a new generation of supporters;
- to design and deliver an in-kind sponsorship activation strategy across the Institut’s flagship cultural events and programmes.
The role combines community building, relationship management, experiential programming and sponsorship activation. It focuses on audience engagement, visibility and stakeholder experience rather than direct fundraising or financial sponsorship solicitation.
A key dimension of the role is the development of both:
- an in situ engagement programme at the Institut français;
- and a “Hors-les-murs” programme of exclusive events and experiences organised in partnership with leading cultural venues and institutions across London.
Working closely with the Head of Partnerships & Major Donors, the successful candidate will contribute to the Institut’s development strategy by creating meaningful experiences for patrons, sponsors and cultural stakeholders.

The Patrons’ Circle of the Institut français du Royaume-Uni is an active and committed community of individuals supporting the Institut’s mission through its Trust. Bringing together philanthropists, arts supporters and Francophile audiences, the Circle contributes to the development of the Institut’s cultural and educational programmes while fostering engagement with French culture in the UK.

Key responsibilities
Patrons’ Circle & Young Patrons development
- Design and implement a development strategy for the Patrons’ Circle focused on engagement, retention and community growth
- Conceive, create and launch the Institut français du Royaume-Uni’s Young Patrons Circle, defining its positioning, audience, engagement model and value proposition
- Develop a recruitment and engagement strategy targeting younger audiences and emerging supporters
- Build and nurture a strong community through tailored engagement and personalised experiences
- Oversee the full patron journey, including onboarding, stewardship and retention
- Develop targeted communications and engagement campaigns (newsletters, invitations, tailored outreach)
- Structure and evolve benefits and membership offers for Patrons and Young Patrons
- Develop exclusive cultural experiences and networking opportunities for patrons and trustees
In-kind sponsorship activation & event partnerships
- Develop in-kind partnerships and collaborative sponsorship opportunities for major events including the French Film Festival UK, Night of Ideas and other high-profile programmes
- Identify and engage brands, cultural partners and lifestyle organisations aligned with the Institut’s values, audiences and events
- Develop creative non-financial partnership propositions focused on visibility, hospitality, audience engagement and cultural experiences
- Ensure meaningful and high-quality sponsor integration into events through experiences, visibility and tailored activations
- Coordinate sponsor activations in collaboration with programming, communications and production teams
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors and institutional partners
- Coordinate delivery and follow-up of partnership benefits and sponsor visibility
Events & experiences
- Curate, in coordination with the Institute cultural teams, selected moments from the Institut français’ existing programme for Patrons’ privileged access, including post-event encounters with artists and production teams
- Lead the conception and delivery of the “Hors-les-murs” programme, developed in close collaboration with cultural teams and hosted across partner venues in London
- Collaborate closely with programming, communications and production teams
- Ensure excellence in event delivery and premium stakeholder experience
Administration & coordination
- Prepare administrative committees and Board meetings in close collaboration with the Head of Partnerships & Major Donors
- Draft meeting minutes and coordinate follow-up actions
- Oversee administrative management of the Patrons’ Circle
- Coordinate agreements, partnerships and sponsor deliverables
- Ensure logistical and administrative follow-up for events and activations
Strategic contribution
- Propose innovative formats and initiatives to enhance patron and sponsor engagement
- Contribute to the Institut’s visibility and audience engagement strategy through cultural partnerships and experiences
- Monitor and evaluate engagement outcomes and partnership impact
- Benchmark best practices in patron engagement, sponsorship activation and cultural partnerships
Profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in partnerships, sponsorship activation, audience engagement, cultural programming or related fields
- Proven experience in developing and managing high-level relationships and stakeholder communities
- Experience in event partnerships, experiential engagement or brand activation
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to design and implement audience and engagement initiatives
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
- Fluent English and French (written and spoken) essential
- Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative
- Strong interest in arts, culture and international environments
Conditions & benefits

Manage all new donor streams for the Trust, including mail, email, regular giving, mid-value supporters, and legacy prospects, while delivering multi-channel campaigns and creating strong welcome journeys. Convert one-off donors into regular givers, ensure smooth transition to long-term stewardship, and develop strategies to grow legacy and in-memory giving.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role’s primary responsibilities will be as follows:
1. Develop and implement the Trust’s strategy across regular giving, one of donors, mid value and legacy pledgers to acquire and steward new donors. Working with the other Individual Giving Manager and in consultation with the Head of Fundraising and Communications.
2. Prepare and monitor the annual income and expenditure budget with support from the Head of Fundraising.
3. Responsible for delivering existing integrated campaigns spanning direct-mail, partially addressed mail, inserts, telephone acquisition and digital channels against the agreed schedules, targets and budgets.
4. Work closely with the Database Manager (and relevant agencies) on criteria for data selections, data extractions and supply.
5. Measure attrition in key acquisition groups as well as other key metrics on an ongoing basis and develop strategies to reactivate and mitigate against donor attrition.
6. Work with a creative agency on campaigns across all Individual Giving streams, testing and adapting regularly to optimise results.
7. Work with the other Individual Giving Manager focused on retention, Database Manager and the appointed fulfilment house to ensure that supporters are managed to the highest level of donor care standards and GDPR guidelines.
8. Continue to develop the regular giving acquisition proposition to grow each segment of supporters and negate attrition.
9. Maximise Gift Aid income from the acquisition appeals.
10. Working with Legacy Administration team lead on legacy marketing.
11. Remain current on developments to GDPR, especially to consent and ensure all campaigns comply with those guidelines.
12. As appropriate, to support and participate in any fundraising event organised by the Trust.
13. Undertake other tasks as appropriate as directed by the Head of Fundraising & Communications.

Clinical Research Manager
The Clinical Research Manager will play a key role in advancing ARUK’s drug prioritisation activities as part of the Clinical Accelerator Programme. Working closely with the Senior Clinical Research Manager, this role will drive the identification, evaluation, and progression of high-potential drug candidates toward clinical trials, delivering tangible impact for people affected by dementia.
This role is vital in advancing Alzheimer’s Research UK’s research objectives and organisational strategy and will be key to delivering impact for people affected by dementia. The Clinical Research Manager will manage the planning and delivery of ARUK’s drug prioritisation activities working collaboratively with external stakeholders and various departments across the organisation, including the wider Research, Fundraising and Policy, Communications and Involvement Teams to develop the programme and ensure successful delivery and measurable impact.
This role sits within the Clinical Research team in the Research Directorate, an ambitious, proactive and growing team that is driving forward initiatives to bring more clinical trials to the UK for people living with or likely to develop dementia. With the first generation of disease modifying treatments recently approved, this is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with strong research experience who understands the clinical research environment in the UK, to contribute to groundbreaking work in dementia research, aligning with and advancing on the Government's new investment initiatives in the Dame Barbara Windsor Dementia Goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. ARUK Drug Prioritisation Programme Delivery and Development
· Lead on the identification of therapies with the potential to be prioritised for clinical trials in Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia through literature search and communication with the clinical research community and key external partners, with support from the Senior Clinical Research Manager.
· Lead the development and drafting of high-quality scientific dossiers that directly inform prioritisation decisions and progression of drug candidates.
· Lead the translation of recommendations from external advisory panels into actionable next steps.
· Work with the Senior Clinical Research Manager and the Senior Clinical Programmes Operations Officer to plan drug prioritisation activities, including meeting logistics, panel engagement, feedback and to track and evaluate progress.
· Identify, evaluate, and drive forward high-impact opportunities for drug prioritisation and clinical development in consultation with Partnerships, Evidence and Funding teams.
· Design and embed scalable processes to proactively monitor the global drug development landscape, utilising databases, conference intelligence, and literature to curate a dynamic intelligence log that tracks therapeutic candidates, development progress, and emerging opportunities across industry and academia.
2. Driving the advancement of the Clinical Accelerator Programme and delivery of key components of its strategy
· Drive planning and implementation of new activities as relevant to continually develop and advance the clinical research strategy
· Collaborate in mapping the clinical research ecosystem, identifying gaps in research and recommending actions to address them.
· Keep abreast of developments and trends in dementia clinical research to influence ARUK's strategies and decisions.
· Support and continuously strengthen internal reporting mechanisms, ensuring timely, high-quality updates to Senior Leadership and relevant boards that enable effective governance, informed decision-making, and strong organisational coordination
· Work closely with the Research Involvement Manager to integrate best practices in involvement and co-production to ensure our research is relevant for and supported by people affected by dementia
· Ensure effective information-sharing across internal stakeholders, including Research, Fundraising, Finance, Policy, Communications and Involvement teams, to maximise the visibility, uptake and strategic use of Clinical Accelerator Programme outputs.
· Aid in the planning, production, and communication of clinical research-related content with the ARUK Communications and Fundraising teams.
3. Strengthening Relationships with External Stakeholders
· Foster and nurture relationships with clinical leaders and research funders in the UK to build the profile of ARUK’s clinical research and help us to accelerate research towards a cure.
· Work closely with our Research Partnerships manager to maintain and build partnerships that further our clinical research objectives.
· Support the Senior Clinical Research Manager and Head of Clinical Research in enhancing ARUK’s external profile through active participation in meetings and collaborations with key stakeholders.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· PhD in a relevant biomedical field or equivalent experience in clinical or scientific research
· Strong ability to critically interpret and evaluate pre-clinical and clinical data
· Familiarity with the drug development process of taking a therapy from pre-clinical studies to regulatory approval.
· Excellent stakeholder management skills.
· Demonstrable commitment to collaborative and inclusive working.
· Proven experience in project management with the ability to adhere to deadlines and prioritise tasks.
· Understanding of research programme management.
· Experience or understanding of preparing scientific dossiers or evidence summaries to inform research prioritisation, funding, or strategic decision-making.
· Understanding of dementia research and funding landscapes.
· Experience working with biotech and pharmaceutical companies
· Exceptional scientific communication skills (written and verbal).

Ways of working:
As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Role purpose
The Senior Challenge Fundraising Officer will lead the delivery and growth of APF’s third-party and mass participation challenge events portfolio.
This role exists to significantly grow income and participation by managing end-to-end third-party challenge events, developing community-facing charity-owned fundraising products and delivering excellent supporter stewardship
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and colleagues across Communications, Services and the Operations Team, you will increase recruitment, empower supporters to raise ambitious funds, and create journeys that encourage long-term engagement with APF.
Success in this role means more people fundraising for APF, raising more income and feeling valued, supported and inspired to stay connected to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Grow participation in third party
- Manage the full lifecycle of third-party and mass participation challenge events, from planning and recruitment through to stewardship and re engagement.
- Develop and execute creative marketing strategies to boost participation and attract new event participants.
- Draft engaging promotional content that inspires and engages our supporters in collaboration with the Communications team.
- Promote third-party events proactively across relevant channels and networks.
- Work with the wider Fundraising team to improve and refine the stewardship journey for challenge participants to maximise the participant experience.

2. Community Product Development

3. Income growth and fundraiser mpowerment
- Inspire participants to achieve ambitious fundraising targets through engaging, creative communications.
- Develop and enhance fundraising materials, including participant packs and digital resources to support our fundraisers.
- Use insight and sector trends to identify opportunities to boost event visibility and maximise fundraising efforts.
- Monitor fundraising performance to ensure we’re meeting targets and delivering strong ROI on our challenge activities.
4. Stewardship and re-engagement
- Foster personal connections with supporters through thoughtful, tailored stewardship that keeps them engaged and feeling valued.
- Create clear re-engagement plans to encourage repeat participation and long-term loyalty.
- Collaborate with wider Fundraising and Services teams to support acquisition and ensure our supporters have a smooth, high-quality supporter journey.
- Represent APF publicly when required, acting as a confident ambassador for the charity at events and in public settings.
5. Data, insight and compliance
- Support on the management of CRM data to enable accurate segmentation, performance tracking and reporting.
- Monitor recruitment, participation, income and ROI to help inform future planning and improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge with GDPR regulations and compliance and ensure personal data is handled responsibly and securely.
- Work closely with the Governance and Operations Manager to ensure our fundraising activities are fully compliant with GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.

The Roundhouse is a youth charity and independent multi-arts venue based in Camden, London. This role is a part-time permanent contract designed to provide admin and practical support around donor-facing events and comms. You’ll take ownership of key events, shaping standout participant experiences, while working closely with the head of community and events to drive income, grow participation and build long-term relationships.
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on leader who thrives on making things happen. You’ll bring strong experience of delivering successful fundraising events, hitting recruitment and income targets, and the ability to motivate and develop others to do the same.
