We are looking for a new senior fundraiser to join our energetic team to raise major gifts for a range of posts, scholarships and other priorities across the Humanities. About the Role
This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships and access and outreach in the academic faculties as well as securing support for the activities of the Cultural Programme and Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.

About the role
As we continue to build on the successes achieved over the last 3 years, Gresham College is seeking a new Head of Fundraising and Engagement, who will be responsible for driving income generation for the College and for engaging our audiences through traditional and digital means.
The Head of Fundraising and Engagement will play the central role in continuing to draw new forms of income to support the College’s educational mission. You will build on the success of the 6.5 million annual views of our YouTube channel to generate income from small donations and memberships, as well as play the lead role in growing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and corporations.
As Head of Fundraising and Engagement, you will have responsibility for the College’s wider profile and engagement, in owned, earned and paid-for media, including traditional and digital channels.
You will be responsible for brand management and development, including management of the College’s online and PR presence to grow our profile and reputation.
The Head of Fundraising and Engagement will line manage a team of four.
Who we are looking for
You will have a track record of success in raising income in a charity environment, alongside knowledge of the requirements of the fundraising regulator and best practice in the sector.
You will bring experience of working across a range of income generation areas and activities, including membership, HNWIs, corporate, and trusts and foundations. It is essential that candidates demonstrate their ability to identify, build and maintain strong donor, sponsor and supporter relationships. You should also be familiar with managing engagement and communications programmes, particularly through digital means.
Candidates should bring experience of managing individuals or teams focused on income generation within a relevant setting and be able to demonstrate the impact of their leadership through the achievement of successful income generation activities.

We’re looking for an enterprising and experienced fundraiser who has hands-on experience of successful income generation, shaping strategy and delivering results.

About the role:
This fundraiser will work closely with the Heads of Departments and academics in the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences. The post will focus primarily on funding for research, academic posts, scholarships and infrastructure related to Neuroscience which includes Mental Health and neurological disease (e.g. Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke and Epilepsy). You will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and delivery of a cost effective individual donor recruitment strategy

The successful candidate will:
- Experience in the charity sector in a fundraising or marketing leadership role
- Multi-channel marketing experience across a variety of media channels including digital marketing, social media, PR, OOH, TV and radio.
- Strong experience of managing creative, media and digital agencies to deliver campaigns and achieve numerical and fundraising targets
- Experience in KPI tracking and analysis
- Strategic thinker who sees the big picture, capable of adapting tactics to maintain focus on delivering the high level strategy

Schoolreaders was launched ten years ago in Bedfordshire with the aim of recruiting volunteers to provide one-to-one reading support for children in primary schools across the country. Introduction
The Prison Reform Trust (PRT) was founded in 1981 to inform public debate and improve prison conditions and the treatment of prisoners, amidst concerns about a projected prison population of 48,000 by 1984. Fast forward to today, the prison population in England and Wales is almost 87,000 and is projected to rise to 106,300 by March 2027. We overuse prison for non-violent and persistent crime, and we choose to send people to prison for a long time, and it continues to grow.
Our mission is clear. We are working to create a just, humane and effective prison system by influencing decision-makers opinion formers and the public to 1) reduce the use of prison; 2) Improve conditions for prisoners and, 3) promote equality and human rights in the criminal justice system.
Income in 2023 was £2.06 million, with most of our income portfolio reliant on trusts and foundations. We have just been through a strategic development period and as a part of that we have uncovered significant untapped potential for philanthropic and relational based income growth. We are now seeking a newly designed, ‘Head of Fundraising and Philanthropy’ to lead the whole fundraising programme, but with a specific focus on developing the philanthropy and corporate programme to take Prison Reform Trust to the next level.
You will be a seasoned relational fundraiser, have entrepreneurial flair, be creative and have the ability to influence at the highest of levels. Overall aim
· To maximise and grow Prison Reform Trust’s income by leading and implementing the fundraising strategy, ensuring targets are met and exceeded and in line with evolving needs, with a particular focus on unrestricted and core income growth
· To lead on identifying, researching, proposal writing and engaging donors in a relational manner including, philanthropists, family foundations, trusts, corporates, low level individuals and senior volunteers.

As Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will be responsible for maximising sponsorship and philanthropic income from the corporate sector. You will work strategically - both individually and through your team - to secure major sponsorships and donations, optimise the Corporate Membership scheme, and attract in-kind support. You will meet agreed targets and operate effectively within a demanding environment involving multiple stakeholders. Working with Museum's senior leadership and with the business community, and representing the Museum at events and meetings, are key aspects of the role.
You will bring a sound understanding of corporate sponsorship and have extensive experience of fundraising for a major cultural institution, university, or charity, or of working in a comparable sales or target-driven relationship management context. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships, are vital for success in this role.
