We are currently seeking Targeted Youth Workers to join our Targeted Youth Services team based across the city of Bristol. This opportunity is available in two areas of our organisation.
Creative Youth Network is a successful charity organisation that supports young people to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives by building secure and positive relationships with them based on their individual unique needs. We offer young people safe spaces to express themselves with creative courses, youth clubs and practical advice and support. We take pride in our relaxed working culture and environment, and are PQASSO accredited. We’ve opted in to the Bristol City Council Equality Charter and are dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within the organisation.
You will be delivering services in Bristol for young people aged 11 – 19. The role will include a combination of 1:1 work, small group work, outreach and open access delivery. You will be responsible for a caseload of up to 20 young people at any one time. You’ll also be expected to work a minimum of two evenings per week, therefore flexibility is also essential.
It would be desirable if you have experience of working with young people around issues related to sex and relationships and wellbeing/mental health.
You’ll have two years’ experience of delivering a range of interventions to achieve outcomes for young people through effective use of resources and targeted delivery.
You’ll be expected to have the confidence to challenge a diverse group of young people and fuel their motivation to engage with the service. You’ll also need to demonstrate an ability to build effective, meaningful and trusting relationships with young people, empowering them and providing tailored guidance.
In return we can offer 33 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays) per year, a cycle to work scheme, opportunities for flexible working, paid breaks and development opportunities.
This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
Hours: full time (40 hours) and part time
Application deadline: 11th June 2019, 09:00
Please get in touch if you have an interest in the role and we’ll answer any questions you may have.
