Ecommerce & Trading Assistant

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Location: Oxford (OX4 6JS) 
• Salary: £25,087 per annum

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Ecommerce & Trading Assistant to support our growing commercial retail operation. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with products, systems, and people—and wants to help raise vital funds for Helen & Douglas House.

You’ll be involved in everything from sourcing and preparing stock to coordinating with our logistics & shop teams and ensuring our online customers receive a smooth and positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Sourcing, Preparation & Listing
  • Assist in sourcing new goods
  • Prepare items for listing including photographing stock
  • Support with writing accurate and appealing product descriptions
• Stock Management
  • Accept and check deliveries of donated and new goods
  • Barcode and organise stock
  • Pick and pack items for dispatch
• Logistics & Coordination
  • Liaise with the logistics team to ensure timely dispatch and delivery
  • Help maintain accurate stock records and inventory systems
• Team Support
  • Work closely with our amazing commercial team to support our ecommerce operation and our portfolio of shop
  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and customer experience

Skills & Experience:

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Comfortable using computers and online platforms (eBay experience a plus)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

Salary: £26,807 – £28,324 per annum (pro rata)

The Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Income Generation and Engagement Team as an Assistant Community Fundraiser!

As an Assistant Community Fundraiser, you will be an integral part of supporting the Community Fundraising team to reach their annual income target. You will oversee the running of the Edinburgh Fundraising Office, including stock management and managing a small team of volunteers. You will help support the team by co-ordinating supporter and volunteer communications and attend fundraising events when required.

About You:

• Experience in an office or customer facing environment.
• Ability to work independently within the role, under your own initiative and cooperatively as part of the Community fundraising team.
• Excellent administration skills with a sound working knowledge of CRM databases, Windows-based software, including Word, Excel and Outlook and Teams.
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with experience of managing multiple projects at any given time, prioritising and meeting agreed deadlines.
• Ability to vary communication style (both written and verbal) to reflect the needs of the audience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience of adhering to data handling / GDPR laws and codes of conduct.

This role will be based in our Head Office in Edinburgh, with some travel to other CHAS sites required for meetings and for picking up / dropping off materials with supporters.

Furnishing Futures is an innovative charity creating fully furnished, healing homes for survivors of domestic abuse who have been rehoused in empty social housing. We do this by partnering with the interiors industry, which donates high quality furnishings that might otherwise end up in landfill.

We are looking for a Youth Service Lead to oversee and shape the delivery of our programmes across Bedfordshire. This is a key leadership role where you will ensure our services are safe, engaging, and impactful for the young people and families we support.​

At F4YP, we support over 500 children and young people across 50+ schools, providing safe spaces, enrichment opportunities, and vital pastoral support. As Services Lead, you’ll play a central role in making this happen every day.​

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and managing high-quality delivery across face-to-face services

• Supporting and developing a team of delivery staff and volunteers

• Ensuring excellent safeguarding, pastoral care, and behaviour support

• Overseeing planning, staffing, and day-to-day operations across multiple sites

• Monitoring impact, quality, and outcomes to continuously improve delivery

• Working closely with schools and partners to support young people effectively​

What we’re looking for:

• Experience leading programmes or services for children and young people

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and pastoral support (SEMH/SEND desirable)
