The aim of the programme is to drive improvement in respiratory disease across primary care, secondary care, and pulmonary rehabilitation with the delivery of national clinical and organisational audits across England and Wales. 

Purpose and scope

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) audit for NRAP, working closely with the relevant programme coordinator and clinical lead to ensure all outputs are delivered in line with contractual requirements
• Manage the adult and children and young people (CYP) Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) panels, including liaison with and oversight of the subcontractor responsible for delivering the CYP element
• Develop and implement a refreshed patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) strategy to ensure the integration of patient and carer perspectives throughout the programme.
• Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including sub-contractors, to establish effective operational procedures and achieve project milestones.

About the role

The Community Link Worker will play a key role in supporting individuals who are economically inactive due to musculoskeletal issues and/or mental health needs, and with a desire to return to or get into work. We have a new and exciting opportunity within Victim Support to provide Domestic Abuse case management interventions across Cumbria, as part of the Drive Project we are recruiting a Case Manager to cover Westmorland & Furness area.

Drive is an innovative national project that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children, by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. The project combines case management of perpetrators with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. They work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together they have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. They also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.

About the role:

This role is based at Kendal Police Station, West Morland & Furness, Cumbria, and involves regular travel. You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse, and/or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

We are seeking experienced professionals from domestic abuse, offender rehabilitation, or mental health backgrounds who bring strong case management expertise and a passion for behaviour change. This role involves delivering one-to-one psychosocial interventions with high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse, aiming to reduce long-term risk to current and future victims/survivors, and children.

About the role

As a CYP Caseworker you will:

• Deliver excellent services to Children and Young People who have been victims of crime through the direct provision of information, practical and emotional help from the point of crime and where appropriate, onwards throughout the criminal justice process.
• Help Children & Young People cope and recover from the effects of crime.
• Act as a single point of contact, undertaking effective need and risk assessments.
• Coordinate the overall delivery of the cope and recovery plan and recovery journey, working closely with other service providers to meet the needs of victims.

You will need:

• Previous experience delivering a service and working directly with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.
• Previous experience of working with vulnerable CYP.
• To be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising work and managing competing demands.
• The ability to complete needs and risk assessments.
• To demonstrate empathy.

Alongside operational leadership, you will build meaningful partnerships with schools, community organisations, funders and key stakeholders, helping to strengthen the impact and reach of Base71 across the borough.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will also contribute to the strategic development and future growth of Base71, helping to shape a Youth Zone where young people feel safe, valued, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

 You Will Have Experience Of:

• Leading youth programmes for diverse young people aged 8–19, including up to 25 for young people with additional needs or disabilities
• Safeguarding leadership, ideally as a Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Building strong relationships and communicating effectively with a wide range of audiences
• Managing staff performance, rotas, budgets and operational delivery targets
• Understanding the challenges facing young people today and the role youth work plays in improving outcomes
• Holding a relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, ideally supported by a youth work qualification

As Engagement Coordinator you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of an audience led, public programme of talks, tours and exhibitions at the Cathedral, as well as working with us to plan and deliver a great visitor experience. As a champion of great public engagement you’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the Cathedral, maximising opportunities to deepen visitors understanding of our stories and mission.

• Developing and delivering income generating visitor engagement programmes

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Engagement Programme 

• Plan, co-ordinate and deliver an engaging public programme of visitor led events, aimed at building new audiences and boosting our visitor numbers 
• Work with the Head of Engagement, to develop the group visit offer, ensuring forthcoming anniversaries and activities are exploited 
• Support the Head of Engagement to deliver the Social Justice Programme, identifying opportunities within existing talks and tours programming to further support the annual theme
• Provide administration of all groups and public tours, ensuring they are booked and co-ordinated accurately 
• Coordinate with the Audience Development Coordinator to evaluate visitor and volunteer feedback, taking action to make improvements as necessary  
• Work with external stakeholders and speakers to deliver an engaging year-round expert talks series

Financial administration

• Work with the Finance Team, ensure all fees for engagement events are invoiced and paid for in advance 

 Relationships 

• Line management of the Cathedral Guides volunteer team, working with the Head Guide to ensure guides are kept up to date of Cathedral policy and are trained and delivering excellent customer service 
• Work with the Verging and Property team to ensure events are coordinated and delivered to a high professional standard  

 Other 

• Support the Head of Engagement to deliver large scale public events providing administrating and on the day delivery support

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. They work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together they have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. They also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.

Victim Support are recruiting an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate's (IDVA) to cover Westmorland & Furness.

Drive is an innovative national project that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children, by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. The project combines case management of perpetrators with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.

About the role:

The role is based in Westmorland & Furness.

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will be:

• Providing a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the DRIVE model, MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
• Promoting the service and raising awareness of issues arising, minimising barriers and improving access to support

You will need:

• Experience of providing support those affected by domestic abuse
• Experience of undertaking need and risk assessments and creating safety plans
• Experience of the MARAC and other partnership processes
• Experience of multi agency working
