Endsleigh Gardens provides accommodation to people who are experiencing homelessness, including those with complex support needs such as alcohol misuse, substance misuse and mental health. 

We're looking to recruit an enthusiastic Maintenance Operative to join a team dedicated to providing clients with a safe environment in which to build their confidence, promoting opportunities for positive change and supporting their recovery journey.

In this role you will be responsible for, managing our voids in the property, including room clearance and redecoration along with carrying out a range of reactive and planned minor property maintenance tasks such as; plumbing, painting, carpentry, lock changes, minor furniture repairs, decorations, tiling and general repairs. You’ll be doing this onsite and in partnership with a multidisciplinary team of support staff, specialist staff and external partners.

About you

You will have a genuine interest and commitment to the aims of St Mungo’s and our client group. You will also have:

• Experience and proven ability in basic maintenance skills and the ability to manage a physically demanding workload.
• An understanding of Health and Safety issues and procedures.
• Understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.

We are looking for a Hostel Support Worker to join our team at a 14-bed, 24-hour hostel, where you will play a vital role in creating a calm, welcoming, and well-managed environment for residents experiencing homelessness.

Working day and evening shifts, you will provide practical, emotional, and safeguarding support to vulnerable adults, ensuring their welfare, dignity, and protection at all times. You will remain alert to risk, respond confidently to incidents or concerns, and follow clear safeguarding and risk-management procedures to keep residents and colleagues safe.

You will hold a small caseload of residents, offering person-centred, trauma-informed key-work support that helps individuals build independence, stability, and wellbeing. This will include encouraging engagement with support services, promoting positive routines, and helping residents work towards longer-term housing and life goals.

Working closely with colleagues across the service, you will:

• Maintain accurate records and case notes

• Communicate clearly with the wider team

• Deliver effective handover between shifts to ensure continuity of care and support

About the role

The Head of Buildings & Facilities is responsible for the effective, safe and compliant management of The Passage’s buildings and for ensuring that Facilities support the charity’s residential services, day services and offices. The role ensures compliance with statutory, regulatory and organisational requirements, maintains high standards of safety and sustainability as well as delivering value for money.

The role also helps develop and implement our Asset Management Strategy, ensuring our building stock remains in good condition in the medium and long term.

The Head of Buildings & Facilities is supported by a small but experienced Facilities Management team and a number of external contractors.

Main duties

 Strategic Asset Management

• Be a leading part of a team to develop and implement an Asset Management Strategy, including reporting on the condition of buildings, forward planning of major renovations and compliance works, making recommendations for investment planning and capital works programmes.
• Play a leading role in plans to acquire new property assets and to bring them into effective use.
• Ensure the work of the Facilities Management team dovetails with the requirements and regulatory requirements of our residential services.
• Implement and embed tools and systems to improve the efficiency and forward-planning of the team’s work.

Buildings and Facilities Management

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the Passage’s buildings ensuring they are safe, secure, accessible and fit for the services provided to our clients.
• Oversee the Facilities Management team to ensure the fabric and systems of all the charity’s buildings are maintained in line with statutory and regulatory standards.
• Work with the Facilities Management team to (i) oversee planned preventative maintenance and improvements to all of The Passage’s sites (ii) oversee and support the team to provide a quick, reliable response to maintenance and repair requests.
• Ensure colleagues and residents are engaged and informed in advance of any issues which may affect them, thereby minimising potential disruption.

Health and Safety

• Act as the lead and Responsible Person for Health & Safety (H&S) across the organisation including risk assessments, accurate and timely recording of health and safety issues, carrying out audits and investigations as necessary.
• Respond to any reported H&S risks, prioritising any reported risks with a significant potential for harm.
• Ensure The Passage is compliant with all relevant H&S statutory, regulatory and legislative requirements, including but not limited to: Fire safety; Gas, Electrical and Water safety; Asbestos management; RSH regulations.
• Formalise, develop and monitor the H&S framework and policies.
• Working with the Facilities Management team, ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with H&S requirements and best practice, whether that work is carried out by Passage staff or by third party contractors.
• Ensure robust record-keeping and compliance reporting to management and Board.

Relationship Management (Contractors and Suppliers)

• Ensure relationships with key services suppliers are well managed by the Facilities Management team. Work with the team to monitor the quality and timing of external contractors’ work and to address any shortcomings promptly.
• Ensure that all contracts for ongoing work and for one-off pieces of work are awarded in full accordance with The Passage’s procurement policy, ensuring best value for money and high-quality delivery.
• Together with the Facilities Management team, ensure contractors conduct themselves professionally and respectfully whilst attending any of the Passage’s locations and to ensure they follow our safeguarding policy at all times.

Teamwork and Line Management

• Line manage the Facilities Management Co-ordinator with an emphasis on supportive communication, skills development and progress towards personal objectives, including his line management of other members of the team.
• Develop positive relationships with all other teams at The Passage’s multiple sites and promote practices to reduce the need for repairs and replacements.
• Be a proactive and constructive member of The Passage’s Senior Management Group

Financial

• Develop and manage the Facilities Management budget, including capital spend, monitoring spending against budget and explaining variances.
• Support business planning through accurate forecasting and long-term planning of major financial spending.
• Ensure value for money and effective financial control across all areas of responsibility.

General Responsibilities

About the role:

Housing can be the thing that helps a young person breathe again — but only when it feels safe, understood and possible to manage. At Camden Young Person’s High Support Accommodation, this role will help turn the practical side of housing into something young people can learn from, build confidence in and use as a stepping stone towards independence.

As Young Person’s Worker — Housing Focus, you’ll support the smooth running of the accommodation while working directly with young people around the housing responsibilities linked to their stay. This will include move-ins, licence agreements, rent and service charge prompts, repairs, voids, occupancy records, building standards and housing-related actions. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager, colleagues, landlords, contractors and internal teams to help keep the service safe, organised and responsive.

This is still a relationship-based role at its heart. You’ll use trauma informed, psychologically informed and strengths-based approaches to help young people understand expectations, build routines, solve problems and prepare for move-on. • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to create an environment of person-centred support for clients with complex needs, maintaining a safe environment which clients who have experienced complex trauma are able to build their confidence and discover opportunities for positive change, in line with Psychologically Informed Environment principles and St Mungo’s Framework. 

• Identifying and developing external relationships that increase accessibility to support within Islington for clients with complex needs. 

• Working across all IPP sites supporting project workers with complex clients.

• Providing and delivering training, support and case management to team members 

• Attend all relevant training with Islington council and share learning and resources with wider team. 

• This role is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm 

About you 

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of substance use and ideally one of the following; Mental health, Trauma Informed Care and/or Psychologically Informed Environments. To be successful in this role you will also require:

We’re looking for an Advice & Wellbeing Specialist to provide high-quality, holistic support to residents, helping them sustain tenancies and improve their wellbeing.  You will need to feel confident and comfortable visiting residents in their homes, with one day per week based in an office.

Your typical day could start by working with residents in their homes and neighbourhoods to understand their immediate needs. Later, you might deliver advice and wellbeing support in a community wellbeing hub before engaging with external stakeholders to build a strong network of support for our residents.

As an Advice & Wellbeing Specialist, you’ll deliver proactive and trauma-informed support tailored to residents’ needs. You’ll work closely with them to understand wellbeing concerns and agree an action plan to enable them to sustain their tenancies and feel connected to their community. You’ll empower residents through positive engagement, helping them develop skills and resilience to lead independent and fulfilled lives.

Your key responsibilities

You’ll deliver personalised, trauma-informed advice and wellbeing support in the community, taking a holistic approach to tenancy, health, and social needs. You’ll manage safeguarding cases with care, build strong relationships with internal teams like Neighbourhood Managers, Financial Inclusion, and Repairs, and collaborate with external partners such as local authorities, mental health services, and advice agencies. About the role:

At Camden Young Person’s High Support Accommodation Service, nights matter. They can be the point where worry, distress, conflict or risk comes to the surface - and where calm, skilled leadership can make all the difference. As Night Manager, you will lead the overnight service, making sure young people experience safety, consistency and support when they need it most.

You will be the senior operational decision-maker overnight, leading the night team to respond confidently to incidents, safeguarding concerns, missing young people procedures, building safety, visitor access and any actions handed over from the day team. You’ll work with a high level of independence, while knowing when to liaise with the on-call manager, emergency services or wider management team to keep young people, staff and the building safe.

This is also a role about connection. You’ll line manage, support and guide Night Workers, oversee locum or agency staff where needed, and make sure overnight learning, handovers and emerging themes are shared clearly with the Service Manager and wider team. Through trauma informed, strengths-based and psychologically informed practice, you’ll help build a service where night and day support feels joined up, purposeful and ambitious for young people’s futures.

About you:

• You are calm, confident and steady under pressure, with the judgement to manage risk overnight and know when to escalate.
• You have experience supporting, supervising or leading staff in supported accommodation, youth work, social care, housing or a similar setting.
• You understand the needs, strengths and risks of young people in high support accommodation, including safeguarding, trauma, distress and non-engagement.
• You can create clear structure without losing warmth, building a team culture where staff feel supported, accountable and able to do their best work.

About the role:

For someone trying to move forward after contact with the criminal justice system, safe housing can be the turning point that changes everything. As a Housing Advice Worker, you’ll be part of Single Homeless Project (SHP’s) Pan London Housing Advice and Interventions Service, delivered in partnership with St Mungo’s and the Ministry of Justice, helping people on probation find clearer, safer routes away from homelessness and housing crisis.

Based in Brent, with work connecting into designated London boroughs, you’ll work closely with Probation Services to support clients to sustain their current accommodation or secure new housing where needed. Day to day, you’ll hold a caseload, complete strengths-based assessments, explore housing, financial, employment and wider support needs, and build practical plans that turn pressure and uncertainty into clear next steps. You’ll also identify risks and safeguarding concerns, keep accurate case records, liaise with housing providers and specialist agencies, and work alongside partners such as probation and police to help people access accommodation and opportunities that are safe, realistic and sustainable.

This is a Monday to Friday role in a friendly, supportive and high-performing team that is serious about the difference good housing advice can make. At SHP, you’ll be supported to grow your knowledge of housing, homelessness and criminal justice practice, build confidence in multi-agency working, and develop your career in a values-led organisation where your work has real purpose every day.

Experience in the social housing sector is desirable, although we will consider applications from other sectors, as full training will be provided. The purpose of this role is to provide 1-1 support to an outreach caseload: ensuring survivors of trafficking and sexual exploitation understand their rights and that these are met, coaching survivors to identify their personal goals, supporting survivors to access the appropriate services/treatment providers and ultimately supporting them into independence.

Job description 

Casework provision

• Provide high-quality casework support to service users on the outreach caseload (including children and families in some cases). 

• Support survivor empowerment to speak out and self-advocate

• Carry out regular risk assessment with survivors and respond to any safeguarding concerns as per Ella’s safeguarding procedures

• Create tailored support plans in collaboration with service users

• Provide day-to-day support and build trusting relationships with the service users

• Be sensitive to the rapidly changing emotional and physical needs of the service users and respond accordingly

• Manage all paperwork, processing any personal data in accordance with Ella’s policies and procedures

• Ensure casenote records are recorded within 24 hours of each service user contact using Ella’s case management system

• Assist service users with administrative tasks as required: reaching out to supporting agencies, booking appointments, form-filling, and attending appointments

• Assume an advocacy role during external appointments, if required

• Assist in writing covering letters and support letters to compliment service users’ application forms, advocate for the service user in specific needs, or to keep other organisations updated as required

• Research the requirements for benefit applications and assisting service users to complete (as required). E.g. S95 asylum subsistence claims, HC2 certificate applications, and state benefits claims

• Assist with maintaining frequent communication with the Home Office, law enforcement and solicitors to progress survivor legal cases

• Liaise effectively with other agencies involved in the care or support of service users to ensure their needs are sufficiently met

Safeguarding & health and safety 

• Ensure all major incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns or potential hazards are managed, reported and recorded following Ella’s policies and procedures

• Maintain a safe and secure working environment, ensuring all safety and security procedures are followed to keep self and others safe

• Participate in the identification and assessment of risks and implement agreed working procedures to minimise their impact; writing risk assessments as required

• Promote awareness of health and safety amongst service users, including those who use emergency/on call systems, fire prevention and control systems as necessary

• Ensure the location confidentiality of Ella’s premises to protect survivors and safeguard staff and volunteers

• Participate in any relevant safeguarding training and keep up to date with any changes to Ella’s safeguarding policies and procedures 

Other/general duties

• Develop strategic partnerships with local agencies working within the VAWG sector and other local organisations or businesses that could enrich the work of Ella’s

• Take part in the out of hours on-call service

• Attend any training required for the role, keeping up to date with any developments and changes within the sector

• Represent the work at Ella’s with integrity at all times

• Adhere to all of Ella's policies and procedures at all times

• Be an active member of the organisation, attending any team meetings that are required and contribute to Ella's strategic goals and input into its direction of growth

• Attend monthly supervision with the Service Manager and keep in regular contact

• Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally

• Complete any other duties as directed by the Service Manager which are within the scope of the role

• Attend bi-weekly team meetings
