We are working with SightCare who are looking for their new Communications and Manager to join their small, and effective Communications team.

Passionate about independent eyecare and retail, SightCare is a mutual benefit organisation providing Independent Optical Practice members with a business and networking support service to their owners and their staff. They offer expert knowledge, access to specialist business services and networking opportunities to their members.

The Communications and Marketing Manager will oversee a consistent and high-quality communication both internally and externally of the key SightCare proposition.

With one direct report, you will develop and implement strategies to engage members, prospects, and lapsed members, building and maintaining relationships with optical suppliers and external vendors and stakeholders, whilst managing the department budget.

You will:

• Demonstrate a strong track record of developing brand and market positioning, using analytical tools to ensure effective communications, acting as brand gatekeeper, coordinating consistent communication of key messages, and tasks.
• Have experience of managing websites, email marketing and social media platforms with experience of managing and maintaining CRM systems (HubSpot), ensuring, and adhering to GDPR requirements and providing regular updates and reporting as required. 
• Be able to plan, coordinate and manage an annual programme of events, including the effective delivery of the annual conference, building relations with sponsors to ensure its financial viability. 
• Have strong communication and PR skills, with experience of handling public relations and press campaigns, with the confidence and competency to deputise for the Chief Executive when required. 
• Have strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others to grow professionally and provide consistent and high-quality communications.

Experience of Membership organisations, sponsorship and event management are desirable but not essential.

A current and key area of our focus is Employment across London and beyond, we work in close collaboration with a range of stakeholders and commercial partners to deliver supported internships as a pathway to paid employment and a career.

Selected interns undergo a full academic year-long placement in a commercial work setting, gaining valuable work experience and essential employment skills. Throughout the internship, tailored job support and pastoral oversight is provided by Job Coaches and Managers working on-site, in our partnership settings. As Partnerships Manager, your collaboration with the Employment Manager will lead on the delivery of supported internships. Responsibilities include: managing multi-site projects and a growing team, recruitment and training initiatives, securing funding and fostering key partnerships with local authorities and colleges. Your contribution will be to manage and lead the sustainable growth of our supported internship offerings in alignment with our organisational objectives.

We are seeking a highly skilled business professional to cultivate and nurture these critical relationships. You will have experience of multi-site project management, data analysis and reporting, plus exceptional people management skills. Experience in the employment sector/internships/graduate recruitment would be of interest. A degree in business/marketing/communications or similar preferred.

This role will lead marketing and communications activity across a diverse range of channels and audiences driving new and repeat visits to the arboretum and our events through creative campaigns. · A full oversight of marketing, public relations and social media. Supporting the team to seek to develop on existing platforms and set achievable targets.

· Support the team to be the media contact for Westonbirt and handle national and regional media enquiries.

We know kinship carers are strong, capable and fiercely determined to ensure they get what they need to support their kinship family. And we want to support them to feel confident and empowered to do that. A new training contract with the Department for Education will support this outcome. 

This role is pivotal in supporting kinship carers to understand what being a kinship carer actually means, what choices are available to them and how to access the information and advice they need for their kinship families in England. 

You’ll facilitate our online introductory training workshops for kinship carers, alongside a kinship experienced colleague. 

You’ll join a new team – Advice, Training and Information who will be resolute about creating a positive and impactful learning experience for all kinship carers in England. 

A strong facilitator and communicator, you will need to be (or become) a Zoom whizz, confident in using breakout rooms and all the extras, calm under pressure (sometimes technology lets us down) and able to deliver exceptional online workshops and training to small and large audiences. We’ll also ask you to support one-off in person training occasionally. 

Being interactive, engaging and able to read the ‘online’ room are essentials for this role. You’ll be curious – and always thinking about how you can improve your delivery and the experience for kinship carers. We’re building a team who is open, focused on the needs of kinship carers and who are looking to continuously and positively improve. 

As part of this new training service, you’ll receive all the training and development to support you to succeed in this role. This may include overnight stays as part of induction and training. 

What you’ll need to achieve in this role:

Key responsibilities:

· Deliver and lead exceptional online introductory training workshops to kinship carers in England (individual target - between 40-50 over a 12-month period). Confident and frictionless use of Zoom (including breakout rooms and other tools) to deliver a high-quality training experience. 

· Consistent approach across training experiences, following manualisation processes. 

· An in-depth understanding of kinship care in England (we’ll provide training and support). 

· Ensure KPIs for service delivery (including feedback and evaluation) are met including kinship carer experiences (90% service user satisfaction). 

· Occasional face-to-face training delivery (for regional roadshows where appropriate). 

· Ongoing continuous development of training resources and delivery using insight, data and participation from kinship carers.

The Role

As our PR Manager, you will take a central role in raising the profile and awareness of Yorkshire Cancer Research and the work of the charity.

Reporting to the Head of Communications & Engagement, our PR Manager will develop engaging, relevant and powerful content for new and existing audiences across Yorkshire, and beyond.

· Plan and deliver innovative and engaging media events and activities in support of the charity’s public relationship strategy.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

· A degree or equivalent professional experience in Public Relations, Journalism, English or Communications.

· Significant experience in a media/PR environment, preferably with experience of managing others within this environment. Experience of planning or leading PR or media campaigns.

· Excellent computer literacy, with extensive knowledge of MS Office applications.

· An understanding of the media and social media landscape, and their relationship with charity PR.

· An understanding or appreciation of the charity sector, the priorities and the challenges.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· High levels of discretion, confidentiality and recognition of how and when to share information appropriately.

The Role:

Hospice UK has an exciting new fundraising strategy with a focus on digital fundraising and supporter journeys. We are looking to significantly increase our engagement with new and existing supporters across all areas of fundraising. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will be responsible for maximising income, supporter recruitment and retention through digital channels, for both individual giving and events.

Reporting into the Head of Events & Supporter Engagement and working very closely with the External Affairs team you will deliver a cohesive and impactful approach to digital fundraising and supporter journeys. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will lead on recruitment and stewardship for a number of third-party challenge events as well as supporting on the optimisation of integrated digital campaigns and donor journeys.

The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate. The team’s focus is on raising funds from individuals through challenge and special events, digital fundraising, giving in memory, legacy giving, regular and payroll giving and one off donations.

The team is made up of 5 people (including this role), who work closely together to help achieve our goals. The wider Income Generation and Grants team consists of 20 people in total. We meet regularly through team meetings and coming together in the office on a Tuesday, which helps to create a supportive working environment.

The Policy and Public Affairs (PAPA) team is part of the Strategy and Knowledge Directorate at the NSPCC. The Directorate exists to help shape the world around us – and what the NSPCC does – so that it reflects what we have learned and can help keep children safe from abuse.

The Policy and Public Affairs team works across the four nations of the UK to influence legislation, policy and practice to ensure they are as effective as possible in preventing harm and abuse of children. We develop and hold the NSPCC’s positions on key public policy issues and harness these to influence policy makers and external stakeholders across the UK.  We focus on policy priorities through our five core workstreams: the child protection system and children’s social care; early years and health; child sexual abuse; online safety; and young victims and witnesses.

We are recruiting a Policy and Regulatory Manager to play a central role in delivering our strategic ambitions to transform the online world so it safe for children. The post holder will play a management role in the high performing PAPA team which has a track record of successful influencing to ensure legal, policy and regulatory frameworks are fit for purpose in preventing, responding, and tackling child abuse and neglect.

The Policy and Regulatory Manager will spearhead our policy and influencing activity to make the Online Safety Act work for children. This will include delivering our regulatory strategy. They will be responsible for leading policy projects that contribute towards the NSPCC’s strategic objectives, using their skills and experience to strengthen our impact on public policy and regulatory decisions. In turn, they will make a significant contribution to keeping children safe.

They will play a key role in delivering our policy and influencing activity with figures in government departments, regulators, and civil society, with regular liaison with industry, and other sectoral experts.

The Policy and Regulatory Manager will manage cross-cutting projects across directorates, ensuring we can amplify the voice of the child by channelling the expertise held across the NSPCC’s policy, research, and knowledge teams, and from our wider services.

They will be responsible for line managing  two policy and public affairs team members and supporting  them to develop robust policy and regulatory analysis.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of online harms or related public policy areas and in-depth knowledge of regulatory structures and processes from experience of working in regulated sectors or for a regulator.

Job purpose

The Policy and Regulatory Manager will deliver public policy projects to support the NSPCC’s strategic objective to transform online protections for children. They will use their skills and experience to strengthen the NSPCC’s impact on public policy and online safety regulation.

The Manager will ensure our policy calls are robust and well-evidenced and develop policy strategies and regulatory liaison to leverage our expertise and secure necessary changes to legislation, regulation, and industry practices.

Supporter Engagement Manager
