The Volunteer Manager (VM) is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors across the regions, which includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, general oversight of mentoring relationships in different programmes, implementation of safeguarding measures, fundraising, meeting growth targets and leading all aspects of mentor management. The role will help to establish a pipeline across the regions, with 5000 new mentors for 2024. This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
1MM VM’s main tasks include:

Helping 1MM to scale by sourcing sufficient volunteer mentors who go on to become confirmed matches for high quality mentoring relationships.

Ensuring mentors coming online have completed the platform mentor training within 1 month, and that this conversion results in sufficient and timely readiness of mentors to meet the needs of programmes with one month’s lead time.

Providing ongoing support to 1MM’’s Volunteer Providers (eg employer partners), maintaining strong relationships.

Securing one corporate sponsor per quarter.

Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to mentors.

Providing a weekly update on various aspects of mentor recruitment, including expected supply, actual registration, and confirmed matching. Share lessons learned on volunteer conversion and matching with the wider team.

Terms and Conditions:
This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.
Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £29,000 per annum plus London Weighting (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).. We also offer monthly team Learning and Development training sessions, and 15 hours volunteering allowance per year.

The role
Children's Hospices Across Scotland is seeking a dedicated and experienced Estates and Operations Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of our properties and facilities across the organisation. In this critical role, you will oversee a dedicated internal team and external contractors, while ensuring compliance with statutory, legislative and Health and Safety requirements. You will lead a team, coordinating all hard facilities management services, day to day property management, implementing planned and preventative maintenance strategies and maintaining high industry standards for CHAS facilities. You will procure and lead on small projects working closely with our internal teams. Additionally, you will work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff in our hospices to meet the ongoing needs of children, families, staff, volunteers and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust planned and preventative maintenance programme to ensure the safety, operation and compliance of the CHAS estate.
- Manage reactive maintenance activities, effectively prioritising requests and allocating resources.
- Oversee the development and delivery of the Asset Management plan and works programme, including condition surveys, informing budgeting and financial planning processes.

Further Information
CHAS support families across the whole of Scotland. Our Head Office is based in Edinburgh, and we have two hospices: Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch. We also have our fundraising office in Glasgow, dedicated bases in Aberdeen and Inverness, and Shops in Dunfermline and Kinross.
As this role will closely support our hospices, we would like to speak to candidates who could base themselves from either Edinburgh, Kinross or Balloch and we do expect regular travel across these sites with predicted 3 days onsite/week, varying as needed. The remaining days can be worked remotely.

About the Role
Working within a small fundraising team, the Partnerships and Event Fundraiser will make a significant contribution to securing a legacy for thousands of local young people through the generation of new income. As Partnerships and Event Fundraiser, you'll be working across a number of projects and events to engage with businesses about creative ways in which they can support the Hive Youth Zone.
The Community programme will encourage the local community to fundraise for the Hive through approaching schools, groups, and associations, and recruiting participants for events. The SME Corporate Partnerships programme will encourage businesses to donate up to £1000 through initiatives such as Charity of the Year applications, staff fundraising initiatives, and recruiting support from smaller local businesses. You will also support and inspire existing corporate partners as part of your role.
About You
This role is a perfect opportunity for a fundraiser, with a proven track record of securing funds via community and corporate fundraising, to set up a new Community programme at the Hive. We are also very much open to candidates from a sales, marketing, and account management background, as well as candidates with events and projects experience. To be successful in this role, you will have experience meeting financial targets, and managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors/clients.
You'll be a strong networker and relationship builder, with the ability to communicate effectively, understanding what drives donors. You'll be results-driven, ambitious, with creative thinking and a strong sense of teamwork. Most importantly, you will believe in the power of excellent youth work.

We are looking for a Partnership and Digital Marketing Co-ordinator
Location: Hybrid – remote/office in central Kingston
Hours: Part-time – 21 hours per week (flexible working available)

Main Duties
- To develop relationships with corporates, SMEs and other relevant organisations through effective digital marketing
- To create a digital marketing campaign that generates partnerships and mutually beneficial relationships including job opportunities, work interviews, work experience and trials
- Tell the stories of our clients to educate employers and businesses as to the benefits of working with and supporting refugees and people seeking asylum
- Put together a digital marketing plan for the 12 months to ensure all networking, partnership targets are met
- Ensure the website is fit for purpose by updating content, working with colleagues to keep programme pages current and ensuring it complements the digital marketing activity
- Work with the Fundraising Manager to attract funding, corporate giving/donations/in-kind support aligned with the needs of client’s journeys of integration towards employment through effective content creation and social media activity
- Nurture relationships with corporate partners, organisations and businesses to assist in the creation of a refugee welcome working environment via effective digital marketing
