Key Tasks

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all high value fundraising activity, including proposals, applications, and donor interactions, and be able to regularly report this activity back to the Head of Philanthropy.

Beacon is looking for a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm for our cause. You will be working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to provide vital support for the services that Beacon offers to our communities.
We are a well-established and well-respected local charity. We have had an active fundraising function in the past, but due to a change of personnel, this has been inactive for over a year. As an organisation, we have some exciting ideas and plans, and a great deal of enthusiasm, but require somebody to join our team and take the lead in re-igniting, developing and delivering our fundraising activities.
Main objectives of the role:
- To work with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement a fundraising strategy for Beacon Counselling that increases income and support for the charity in furtherance of Beacon’s charitable objectives.

At Hatch we are not limited by opportunities but by capacity. Demand for our programmes is greater than ever, from beneficiaries as well as from corporate and governmental partners. Over the past four years, we have made strides in developing our Fundraising income, pipeline and capabilities enabling us to rapidly pivot, innovate and capitalise on new funding opportunities. Our income has grown from £500k pa in 2019 to over £2m in 2023 and we’ve even been shortlisted for the Third Sector Fundraising Team of the Year 2022.
We have a strong track record in developing corporate partnerships and delivering against programmatic grants. We have multi-year partnerships with UBS, NatWest, eBay, Pizza Hut, Bloomberg and BlackRock to name a few. Working with our Head of Corporate Partnerships, we would see you building on this track record and personally taking the lead on creating and inspiring bigger, better and stronger partnerships.
You will also act as an ambassador and represent the charity externally, promoting the work of the organisation and developing productive relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders to secure greater commitment to the charity.

Responsibilities
Account Management/ Stewardship

Supporting day-to-day stewardship of Hatch’s strategic partners including Pizza Hut, UBS, BlackRock and NatWest.

Background
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Gaza, and Lebanon.
MAP is in a period of ambitious growth and rapid development, as we respond to the massive humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. Due to this growth, we are seeking a Director of Fundraising and Marketing to lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy.
Purpose of role
The purpose of this role within MAP is to build a high-performing fundraising and marketing team in the UK, and in new international markets, to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising and marketing strategy to successfully deliver MAP’s new five-year vision.
Primary responsibilities

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:
Leadership
- Champion fundraising across the organisation.
- Be an inspiring ambassador for MAP and ensure this is reflected in the strategies, outputs, and behaviour of the fundraising team.
- Actively contribute to leading Medical Aid for Palestinians as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
- Work closely with the SMT to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.
- Attend and actively participate in MAP’s Board meetings and relevant Board Committee meetings providing updates, necessary reports, and feedback on MAP’s fundraising and marketing.
- Lead cross-organisational projects in line with organisational strategy and direction.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation at all levels, adopting and encouraging a collaborative working approach.
- Keep abreast of, understand, clarify, and implement new or changes in relevant thinking and legislation, especially those directly affecting fundraising.

Fundraising
- Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy across a range of income streams to successfully deliver MAP’s new five-year vision.
- Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Fundraising Team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent organisational growth.
- Ensure that MAP’s fundraising is supported by appropriate business/activity plans, and sound financial plans and budgets; and that performance is regularly monitored and evaluated against plans and budgets.
- Set, monitor, and deliver annual income and expenditure targets.
- Foster a culture of ambition and innovation and support the team to research, develop, and implement new fundraising approaches to recruit new donor groups across all income streams.

Fundraising Development
- Work with the Head of Individual Giving to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.
- Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.
- Lead the adoption and use of a newly installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
- With the CEO and SMT, agree and invest in a scaled-up approach to fundraising internationally.
Brand and Marketing
- Working in collaboration with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, lead the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.
- Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Marketing Team to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes MAP’s work and delivers greater income generation.
- Ensure our brand and identity are strong and supported by authentic high-quality messaging, delivering integrated campaigns across all our channels that turn increased recognition into active support for MAP’s work.
- Increase brand awareness and brand attribution, creating an authentic and compelling voice for MAP which centres on Palestinian voices, including the voices of the people MAP serves.

About the opportunity
Corporate partnerships are critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year) of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships. Part of our growth strategy is looking at building stronger relationships with corporate partners, having established a strong multi-year relationship for the first time this year worth £500k annually. We have a great ability to measure and quantify its impact, which we are looking to better communicate and leverage with current and potential corporate partners.
We’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on our corporate partnership activities and initiatives, including growing income from corporate partners as well as increasing the number of corporate volunteer tutor applications we receive from them. Working within our Philanthropy Team, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of two Corporate Partnership Coordinators, ensuring that, as a team, you meet your corporate income and volunteer application targets. Duties and responsibilities
• Manage, maintain and leverage existing corporate partner relationships alongside, as relevant, the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager, including proactively reporting to partners on the impact of their funding, giving and volunteering to encourage further support from them.
• Work with the CEO, Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager to ensure Action Tutoring’s fundraising targets are met, and manage an effective pipeline across Action Tutoring’s different income streams.

Identify potential funders within the current corporate volunteer pool and work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager to convert corporate support into income generation to meet agreed upon targets.
• Develop new partnership leads using personal networks and networks within Action Tutoring’s staff team and volunteer pool, including supporting the Programme Team in cultivating partnerships with corporations in their local areas.
• Proactively engage partners in supporting us through fundraising activities, such as challenges and events, match-funding campaigns and pay-roll giving schemes.
• With your Corporate Partnership Coordinators, prepare and deliver presentations and information sessions that encourage colleagues of Corporate Partners to join us as volunteer tutors or support us financially.
• Oversee your Corporate Partnerships Coordinators to lead corporate volunteer recruitment, ensuring agreed targets for corporate volunteers are met.
• Ensure the development of clear and compelling marketing materials to engage corporate organisations, alongside maintaining the partnership areas of our website.
• Line management of two Corporate Partnerships Coordinators, ensuring workload is fairly distributed and supporting their development.
• Represent Action Tutoring at relevant meetings and events.

The role
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a newly created fundraising products team that’s responsible for both new and innovative product development and our sector leading virtual events programme. There are ambitious plans to grow income from a broader portfolio of supporter-led fundraising products over the next three years, which is backed by investment, organisational support and audience insight.
As the fundraising products officer, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering and helping develop diverse and innovative fundraising products. Ensuring that net income targets are met while providing an exceptional experience for our supporters.
Reporting to the fundraising products manager and with a line report you’ll be implementing plans to attract, steward and retain supporters. While also working closely with your wider team from across community and events, you’ll be involved in new propositions to reach and engage new and existing audiences. And at all stages you’ll be encouraged and supported to innovate, test and learn and think creatively.

About you
We’re looking for someone with a real drive and a passion for charity fundraising. Who is digitally focused, driven by insight and understands the importance of great stewardship.
You’ll have experience in a range of fundraising activities including virtual events. Adept at supporter stewardship and journeys through a variety of channels, such as digital communities, phone, and email. You’ll have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding KPIs. As well as being highly organised, comfortable managing projects and if needed the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Claire House has an exciting new opportunity within our corporate fundraising team. We are looking to expand and develop this vital fundraising stream, to ensure we are able to provide the care and support to more children and families who need us most.

As the Community Fundraising Manager, you will be instrumental in building and nurturing relationships within our local communities to drive fundraising initiatives. You will lead a passionate team and work closely with volunteers, businesses, and community groups to raise vital funds and awareness for our life-saving services.
