The Finance Systems Analyst is a newly created role which will have responsibility for the efficient running and maintenance of ClientEarth’s finance systems, including Access Focal Point- which has been in use for over five years and Workday Adaptive Planning, a new system for the organisation. This role is required due to the rapid growth of ClientEarth and investment in new systems. You will provide essential support for current finance processes, suggest improvements to those processes to maximise their value and provide input into systems strategy for the finance department into the future.

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Catherine Adams. A finance professional for thirty four years, Catherine has had a career of two halves, first in the corporate sector working for BDO Binder Hamlyn,  Boots UK, Waterstones and Tesco and then in the Charity sector, gaining an MSC in Charity finance from Bayes Business school, working for MSI Reproductive Choices and joining ClientEarth in 2021. As Head of Finance, Planning and Analysis, Catherine manages a team of ten business partners supporting the programme and core staff in their vital mission to use the power of the Law to bring about systematic change to protect the earth. 

Main Duties 

Systems improvement and efficency

• • Supporting the Head of FP&A with the Workday Adaptive modelling and build to enable value added performance review and reporting in line with organisational strategy.

Systems Administration

• • Administrator for Workday Adaptive and Focal Point to include maintenance and regular review of users, user profiles, password management.

Role requirements

• An accounting qualification – part or full or qualified by experience
• Previous experience working in a finance team, able to demonstrate an understanding of financial processes (essential)
• Experience with Access Focal Point and Workday Adaptive or similar finance systems (essential)
• Experience working with and reporting from large databases and an understanding of data structures (essential)

The role

As Welfare Officer you will work alongside four National Support Coordinators, ensuring our members receive welfare and benefit related information, advice, and guidance via telephone, zoom meetings, and email.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness, as it is a little-unknown condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the illness. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including access to specialist welfare and benefits advice.

Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals. 

The myasthenia’s are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia, and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

You will have an understanding of member-based organisations, servicing committee meetings, expense processing, and usual undertaking of secretarial duties. · Work with the company’s Executive Team to cultivate new supporters and strategic delivery partners with which to develop and grow the company’s work both within the UK and Internationally

· Work with the company’s Community Programme Manager to cultivate new opportunities for support

The role

We have a vacancy in the North East region for a Project Officer working 21 hours per week. You would be joining a dedicated and friendly team of regional staff and volunteers. The ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player is essential.

It is an exciting time to be joining Cruse, as we are in the process of improving our processes and services to strengthen the support that we offer to bereaved people and our volunteers. The postholder will coordinate and assist with the delivery of all aspects of service contracts in Stockton, supporting the Regional Manager and the wider team. The role is based at our Teesside Office in Middlesbrough, with some home working by agreement subject to service delivery requirements. The postholder must be able to work and travel in and around the Stockton / Teesside area. Networking and engaging with local groups / communities will form an essential element to the role, alongside facilitating groups and providing direct bereavement support to people.
