We are hiring this role at a pivotal time for IHP, as we celebrate our 20th anniversary year and undergo a brand refresh. As we celebrate two decades of impact on global health, the ability to effectively communicate IHP’s journey and vision for the future has never been more important.
About the role
The postholder will have a unique opportunity to lead delivery of our communications strategy, supporting the delivery of our organisational objectives and ensuring we maximise our 20th anniversary year to raise IHP’s profile and grow our community.
You’ll manage a small, but fantastic team of committed communications professionals, whilst working alongside other teams to effectively tell IHP’s story, and the stories of those we serve. You’ll work with our fundraising team to collaborate on fundraising campaigns, our Corporate Partnerships team to engage pharmaceutical and logistics partners in new and exciting ways, and our Programmes team to work directly with NGO partners to gather content and demonstrate our impact through effective storytelling.
You will also be a part of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for setting the strategic vision and direction of the organisation. This is a temporary role as a maternity cover starting in July 2024.
What you’ll be working on
- Lead on IHP’s 20th anniversary campaign including overseeing a pivotal stakeholder engagement event
- Implement and embed IHP’s newly developed brand identity across the organisation and across external channels.
-Oversee the marketing strategy for our self-designed and revolutionary software system, Boaz, helping to reach new customers and position as a leader in its field.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders to develop communications opportunities and amplify IHP’s voice including employee engagement opportunities.
- Manage relationship with our social media agency to effectively execute IHP’s communications objectives and grow our audiences and engagement.
- Oversee the marketing delivery of our annual Christmas fundraising campaign.
Essential knowledge/transferable skills and experience:
- Demonstrable and successful communications experience

Summary

Main Responsibilities
As the Procurement Partner, you will be responsible for helping Diabetes UK identify areas where there are opportunities to reduce cost, reduce risk, or increase value for the charity - and act on these. You will work closely with the finance business partnering team & individual budget holders to maximise value for money from our charitable spend.

About the Team:

- Manage the development and operations of WaterAid Canada's individual giving portfolios, including annual, monthly, and leadership donors.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the annual and leadership giving stewardship.
- Plan and execute annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, digital acquisition, and third-party fundraisers.
- Development and implement strategies to enhance donor engagement, stewardship, and retention.

You will operate on the very front line of our charitable nature conservation mission, directing and supporting our specialist team to consistently achieve their financial targets by recruiting new members face-to-face, whilst also utilising your strong sales skills and friendly and persuasive personality to inspire the public to take urgent action for wildlife and wild places through membership. You will be an effective ambassador and advocate for the Trust’s work throughout Yorkshire, have excellent sales skills and a successful track record in delivering exemplary customer or supporter care. Highly proficient in the use of office-based computing software, you’ll also hold a full driving licence, have access to a personal vehicle with business insurance, and be willing to travel regularly between some of Yorkshire’s most iconic wild places.

Purpose of the role
One of the core elements of this work is the production of the Freedom of Thought Report. The Report examines every country in the world for its record on upholding the rights and equality for non-religious people. We consider issues of legal discrimination and outright persecution and violence. The Report is essential to our awareness-raising efforts of the persecution faced by the non-religious.
Humanists International is embarking on a 2-year programme of work in order to realize some long-term improvements to the Freedom of Thought Report. We are looking for an enthusiastic research coordinator to join our team and participate in all stages of the publication process.
As a research coordinator you will support the Casework & Campaigns Manager to administer, plan and produce the Freedom of Thought Report, providing evidenced-based research to shape and influence human rights policy as it pertains to the non-religious.
This is a predominantly home-based role, but does require the attendance of in-person events such as the General Assembly and Team Building, as required.

Key duties

Collaborating with the Casework & Campaigns Manager to research, plan, and deliver the Report’s production on an annual basis;

Provide administrative support to the Casework & Campaigns Manager;

Liaising with team members (e.g. Members, Associates, designers, and volunteers) ensuring deadlines are met;

Recruiting, training and coordinating a pool of volunteer researchers;

Developing and implementing training sessions for members, associates, and volunteers;

Liaising with Humanists International members to enable and support them to submit country entry updates;

Write and edit entries - ensure they are accurate and objective, and conform to house style;

Our client Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity embedded in the local community, providing practical help, support and training to people affected by homelessness or suffering from addiction. As SCT’s HR and Quality Manager you will report to the CEO and work closely with the SMT and wider management team, including SCT’s Co-Production worker and external HR Consultancy. You will be responsible for leading, directing and delivering a comprehensive generalist HR service across the whole of SCT and providing the organisational lead on health, safety and wellbeing, data protection and quality improvement systems; developing and promoting best practice and taking a hands-on role as and when necessary and according to SCT’s inclusive, integrated, innovative and participatory culture.
