ISEAL supports sustainability standards and similar market-based sustainability systems to improve their impacts on people and planet. ISEAL’s Credibility Principles and Codes of Good Practice are used globally to guide the development of credible sustainability systems and to evaluate the credibility of sustainability claims. Our Innovations workstreams explore and pilot new solutions to operational and strategic challenges sustainability standards face. The position will be critical to the coordination of projects and engagement with ISEAL members on system innovation working on sustainability topics such as farmer livelihoods, sustainable landscapes, and the bio-economy. Specific project assignments will change over time as our project portfolio evolves.
ISEAL is co-creating knowledge and content, often working on topics where good practice and solutions have not yet been identified. The coordinator will be part of this journey of peer-to-peer learning, pilot testing, and discovery. The role will collaborate with different ISEAL teams and be in contact with ISEAL community member / partner organisations, making this an excellent opportunity to learn about a wide range of initiatives.

You are keen to learn more about ISEAL´s work on market driven sustainability solutions and to provide all- round assistance to several exciting ISEAL projects. The position will be based in ISEAL’s Impacts and Innovations team.
The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Project support
- Contribute to outreach to project stakeholders, Community Members, partners & event attendees, answering and directing queries and scheduling appointments and virtual/ in-person meetings
- Organise meeting logistics, agenda preparation, notetaking, audio recording and the tracking and implementation of follow up actions and communications
- Carry out background research, review documents, and gather and analyse information using templates and tools such as Excel
- Coordinate project processes, including implementing procurement procedures, drafting contracts with consultants (based on ISEAL templates) and maintaining project-related systems
- Maintain web pages related to event and programme activities and support email and social media campaigns; upload blogs, documents, and resources
- Support drafting and production of relevant newsletters, website articles, and report sections
- Proof-read, edit, design, and format documents in Word and Powerpoint, using ISEAL templates
- Support organisation and delivery of virtual, hybrid, and in person meetings and community engagement, provide technical support during Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings, operate other engagement tools (e.g. EasyRetro, Miro, Jamboard, etc)
General
- Provide support to senior project leads in grant management and stakeholder engagement
- Assist in promoting best practice in use of IT, communications and knowledge management systems within projects, and support efforts to help bring about improvements

Essential attributes, skills & knowledge
- Experience working in a project or stakeholder commnications role, in a highly collaborative environment such as an international NGO
- Understanding of sustainability systems and how they work to help deliver change on sustainability issues
- Experience and comfort working with subject matter of a niche or specialist nature, possibly gained through data analysis, project communications, and/or the review and analysis of data sets, academic research, technical reports, and policy documents
- Strong organisational skills, and experience with administration, meeting coordination, logistics, contracts, budget tracking, etc.
- Confidence in communications with peers and external partners, comfortable in public speaking situations (e.g. webinars, workshops etc)
- Good time management and ability to organise multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently with precision and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken English, with proven ability to write clearly and concisely on a range of topics
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote, international environment, including regular international time-zone calls
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with changing projects and working with multiple project leads

The role
The Governance Officer liaises with external partners and supports the Director-General to ensure governance activities align with the Foundation’s strategic goals. Working under the direction of the Senior Office Manager (People and Finance), you will bring strong administrative and diplomatic skills.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage communications and correspondence with Governors, High Commissions, and external stakeholders.

Operations Assistant, South Georgia Museum
South Georgia Heritage Trust operates the South Georgia Museum on behalf of the Government of South Georgia. The museum is located in the abandoned whaling station of Grytviken, on the remote sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia. The museum is visited each austral summer by over 12,000 visitors that arrive on cruise ships, research vessels and yachts.
SGHT is seeking a practical and enthusiastic Operations Assistant to join the small team which will spend 5 to 6 months (October – April) on South Georgia. The Operations Assistant will be involved in opening the museum, operating the SGHT shop and undertaking fundraising and other projects. The Operations Assistant will report to the SGHT Director SG.
Payment is £1200 per month worked, and all food and accommodation is provided. For tax purposes the Operations Assistant is self-employed, and it is each person’s responsibility to report their activity to the appropriate tax authority. Travel to and from South Georgia is arranged by, and covered by, South Georgia Heritage Trust. Working hours are flexible and are dictated by the cruise ship schedule. This can sometimes mean working long, unsociable hours but, where possible, the team will take two days off per week. Successful candidates will live in shared accommodation in a small cottage next door to the museum and take part in a cooking and cleaning rota with other museum staff.
Candidates must be over the age of 18, have the right to work in the UK and be UK based. They must also pass a British Antarctic Survey Medical Unit medical if offered the role. Due to the remote location, and limited facilities available, employment is conditional on passing this medical assessment.
Duties of this role include:
Front of House:
· Opening and closing the museum for visiting ships.
· Welcoming visitors to the museum and responding to questions about the museum, South Georgia and SGHT.
· Assisting with guided tours of Grytviken Whaling Station.
Retail:
· Serving customers in the shop during ship visits.
· Stock management, including barcoding new stock, re-stocking during and after ship visits, and assisting with stock inventories.
· Assisting with merchandising of shop stock, including refreshing displays throughout the season.
Fundraising:
· Delivering fundraising presentations on board visiting cruise ships.
· Processing donations and associated paperwork.
· Engaging with guests about the work of SGHT and encouraging them to support the charity.
Maintenance:
· Undertaking waste management, including sorting and packing of waste.
· Completing basic maintenance tasks, such as sanding and painting, around the museum.

About you
You will have previous administration experience and strong IT knowledge, including experience of using Microsoft Office with the ability to produce reports and presentations within Excel, Word and PowerPoint. About the role

Job Purpose
We are seeking a Finance Officer, based in our office in Newquay, Cornwall. Logistical support

- Maintain key working relationships with our network of Assessors and University Award Leads, addressing queries, scheduling and minuting award panels, sharing actions with the team
Working together
- Work closely with the Programme Liaison Officer to successfully deliver all aspects of the role, including managing university relationships, ensuring tasks are picked between roles and when required
- Attend programme-related meetings, and maintain communications with programme participants and key stakeholders through maintaining and use of up-to-date database(s)
- Actively participate in the testing and embedding of new digital systems to improve programme efficiency and engagement
- Stay updated on developments in Higher Education and gather insights from sector partners to feed into team decisions
- Look for opportunities to develop systems and processes to improve ways of working and participate in discussions on the Sector Improvement Team development and improvement

- Such other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the organisation, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of this post
- Attend regular team meetings with the Student Minds team and colleagues throughout the year as required
- Ensure compliance with Student Minds’ internal procedures and all external legal requirements
- Undertake training and attend conferences in a support capacity when Student Minds is delivering, and attend external conferences as a delegate where required
- Engage with and provide feedback on projects and strategic reports developed by other members of the team
- Work flexibly and undertake tasks to support Student Minds colleagues as needed
