Job description

Are you inspired by beautiful landscapes?  Would you like to ensure they are rich in wildlife and accessible for everyone to enjoy?  Would you like to help shape the future of the National Parks in England and Wales?

Campaign for National Parks is seeking a Supporter Care and Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for communicating with our members and supporters, managing our supporter database, organising meetings and events and supporting the organisation with general office administration.  The successful candidate will have experience of working with customers or supporters, organising meetings and events, and enjoy taking their own initiative while working in a team.  He/she may have previous experience in fundraising, but this is not essential, and will be keen to learn and develop new skills.

The role is ideally suited to someone who wishes to work in conservation or campaigning on a part time basis.  The successful candidate will have an interest in environmental issues but does not have to have worked in the sector before.  There will be opportunities to develop relationships with our member organisations, including local park societies and national environmental organisations, and to see all aspects of working in a small, dynamic campaigning organisation.  The role is office based but the hours of work can be arranged flexibly across the week.

Campaign for National Parks is the only national charity that campaigns to protect, improve and promote the thirteen National Parks in England and Wales.  Established in 1936, we are a small, energetic charity that campaigns to shape public policy at national level and how it is implemented locally.  Our campaigns range from agricultural reform to wildlife conservation to transport and economic development.  We work closely with organisations across the environmental, rural and amenity sectors and have ambitious plans for the future.

Further information about the role can be found on our website.

To apply please send your CV and a covering letter, explaining your interest and relevant experience by 6pm on Wednesday 16 OctoberUnfortunately, only applications with a covering letter will be considered for the role. Interviews will be held w/c 28 October.
