About the role:This role sits within our Retail Domain, which transforms donated goods into vital income to support young people across the UK. You'll play a key part in our Sutton in Ashfield shop, supporting the manager and team to deliver excellent customer service, community engagement, and income generation. As part of this role, you will be required to follow a shift over 7 days
We're looking for a confident and motivated person with the ability to assist the shop manager and drive shop profits, driving improvements that strengthen the shop's performance and community impact.
Key Skills and Competencies:
The required skills and competencies for this role are:
-Retail or similar supervisory experience,
-Excellent people and customer service skills
-Good IT skills
-Experience of cash handling and basic understanding of performing to income and expenditure budgets
-Confidence, positivity and resilience in managing the shop and making decisions in the absence of the Shop Manager
-Energy and resilience to work in a fast moving environment
-Flexible positive approach working with a diverse team
It would also be an advantage if you have any of the following skills and competencies:
-Able to lead a team of young volunteers
-Visual merchandising and fashion background
-Good a problem solving and working on your own initiative
-Understanding of the charity retail sector

Location: Remote with regular travel. Approx. two to three times a week, covering the South-West of England and South Wales region

Responsibilities of our Health and Safety Officer:
- Conduct in-person health & safety and fire risk assessments across centres and shops, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyse trends, and recommend preventative actions
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, assessments, and incidents in line with data protection requirements
- Work with colleagues across teams to implement remedial actions from inspections and audits
- Promote completion of H&S e-learning and identify additional training needs
- Build strong relationships with staff and volunteers to foster a positive safety culture
- Lead regional H&S Committee meetings and contribute to team discussions and continuous improvement of SHE practices
- Support wellbeing and mental health awareness by signposting relevant resources
- Collaborate with colleagues on H&S elements of projects and activities across the charity
About the Health & Safety and Environment team:
The team manages most Health and Safety functions in-house and works closely with departments across Cats Protection. It includes a head of department, senior officer, environment and sustainability lead, administrator, and four regional officers covering the UK. The team supports retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE, and branch volunteer enquiries.
What we’re looking for in our Health and Safety Officer:
-Lives in or around the South-West of England or South Wales
- NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent) and membership of a relevant professional body
- Significant experience (3+ years post qualification) in a similar health & safety role, ideally in public sector, facilities, or charity setting
- Experience working across multiple sites
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels
- Able to work independently, manage workload, and perform under pressure
- Organised, pragmatic, and professional with a flexible, positive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Holds a full UK driving license and has access to a vehicle

As Senior Email Marketing Executive, you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of Marie Curie's email programme, driving innovative campaigns that engage supporters and generate vital income. You'll take ownership of campaign planning, performance optimisation, audience targeting, and marketing automation, while actingas a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organisation. Your Impact:
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and delivery of email campaigns across fundraising, campaigns, services, retail, and supporter communications.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing templates, refining processes, and implementing best practice across the email programme.
- Deliver and optimise SMS and WhatsApp communications as part of integrated multichannel marketing activity.
- Lead audience segmentation and targeting, ensuring supporters receive relevant and personalised communications.
- Build, optimise, and maintain automated supporter journeys, including welcome, nurture, re-engagement, and stewardship programmes.
- Own the email test-and-learn programme, using campaign insights to drive continual performance improvements.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, providing expert advice and helping shape integrated campaign plans.
- Mentor and support the Email Marketing Executive and deputise for the Email Marketing Manager when required.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering successful email marketing campaigns from planning through to evaluation, using email service providers and marketing automation platforms such as DotDigital or similar.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practice, including deliverability, accessibility, mobile-first design, and optimisation.
- Experience working with audience segmentation, data selections, and personalised communications.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of GDPR, PECR, and marketing consent requirements.
- Experience with lifecycle marketing, automated journeys, SMS, WhatsApp, or wider digital marketing would be advantageous
