South East London Mind is working with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and Bridge Support to deliver the Greenwich Mental Health Hub.  This will form part of the new transformation of mental health services in the Royal Borough of Greenwich under the NHS Long Term Plan. We are looking for a Mental Health Carers Advisor who possesses an understanding of the challenges of unpaid caring and whose experience of working within mental health services includes support, prevention, recovery, and self-management. Applicants should possess effective skills in communication and have experience of completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload and working in a busy work environment. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and to show initiative is essential for this role.

• Management of a diverse client caseload

This role will be part of our IDVA team in the London Victim and Witness Service. As a DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• Address the safety of victims at high risk of harm
• Serve as a victim's primary point of contact by working with their clients from the point of crisis to assess the level of risk, discuss the range of suitable options and develop safety plans.
• Be pro-active in implementing the plans, including actions from MARAC, which address immediate safety and enable victims to protect themselves and their children, as well as longer term solutions, using sanctions and services via criminal and civil courts, housing options and other organisations.

You will need:

• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment, or unpaid voluntary work, plus we assist employers and employees to successfully resolve mental health problems in the workplace.

You will support the delivery of our Employment Service which will see you focus on motivating, supporting and providing person-centred advice and guidance to people receiving support to enable them to move into suitable and sustainable work.

As well as a good understanding of people with mental health problems, you have experience of networking/liaising with local employers and the initiative to develop and promote a service. Excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills are essential too, as is a willingness to travel in the local area and occasionally work outside of office hours. Customer focused, well organised and collaborative in approach, you are a great administrator and pride yourself on your word processing skills and ability to keep accurate computer records/use a database. A flexible approach to working to ensure effective service delivery is essential.

This is a full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

Tenancy Services Officer / Housing Officer

Our client

Morgan Hunt is currently working with a large Housing Association to recruit a Tenancy Services Officer / Housing Officer for a temporary period of approximately 3 months with the potential for extension. The patch will cover approximately 500 properties in the Cheshire West area (Ellesmere Port, Blacon, and Merseyside) with the expectation of being visible across the patch for at least 50% of the working week.

The role

As a Tenancy Services Officer / Housing Officer you will;

• Identify support needs and deliver person-centred actions, either directly or through partner agencies, along with information, advice and guidance.
• Be visible out in the community and be the first point of contact, getting to know our customers and tailoring service to their needs.
• Take ownership for customer queries through to a successful resolution and ensure lessons learnt are built into future service delivery.
• Use the pre-tenancy assessment process to identify and deliver any additional support, ensuring allocations are sustainable.
• Deliver targeted actions and interventions in partnership with external stakeholders to improve the sustainability of communities.
• Ensure empty properties are re-let in the most efficient and effective way by adopting an innovative and dynamic approach to marketing and allocating.
• Be responsive to incidences of Anti-Social Behaviour using a range of tools and techniques to prevent and tackle issues and adopting a multi-agency approach. To include preparing legal cases and taking them to court and providing support and protection for all parties involved.
• Plan and deliver effective resident engagement events and campaigns, taking time to listen and act on feedback.
• Record the outcomes and impact of engagement, promote to residents and use the results to improve satisfaction levels and make meaningful improvements.
• Promote the principles of safeguarding whilst having a comprehensive understanding of child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
• Complete regular inspections and manage all communal areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are complied with, including keeping areas free from hazards, and implementing the recommendations from Fire Risk Assessments.
• Support the delivery of robust income management recovery service, starting with new rent accounts at tenancy sign up.

The candidate

• Experience in a customer facing role, covering all aspects of generic housing management.
• Experience of working with specialist external support groups and agencies.
• Experience of dealing effectively with a diverse range of customers
• Understanding of welfare benefits and financial inclusion
• Understanding of Welfare Reform and options to mitigate risks for residents.
• Solid working knowledge of safeguarding
• Excellent analytical & communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good numeracy skills and the ability to understand and interpret financial information.
• Ability to think creatively when faced with problems and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Display the resilience and emotional intelligence to be able to cope with difficult situations.

About the Role

As a Data Officer at Myeloma UK, you will be supporting the charity as we implement a brand-new data strategy. You will ensure our data is handled with the highest care, complying with best practice in data protection, and be involved in projects covering data management, data cleaning, reporting, and analysis.

Some of your varied responsibilities will include:

· Collaborate across the charity assessing our processing and help to manage communication preferences, data assets, including maintaining the Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) log.

· Support us in assessing new and existing data processing to ensure we follow privacy by design principles.

· Enhance data flows from multiple sources to our CRM, providing training and support to colleagues where needed.

· Contribute to the development and execution of a brand-new data strategy, improving our charity’s data maturity through staff training and promoting best practice.
