The Role
Part time 21 hours 3 days per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and effective team player to help us to give more young people from across Wales the chance to take part in the DofE, particularly those from diverse and marginalised backgrounds.
You will be working alongside a team of Operations Officers, supporting, inspiring and guiding DofE leaders to ensure a consistent and quality experience for the young people that they support. You’ll be managing a portfolio of existing partners in Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Powys.
You will be home based, but there will be a mix of face to face and online interactions and, as the role has a wide geographical area you’ll need to be prepared to travel and stay overnight on occasions, sometimes weekends.
Whilst you won’t be working directly with young people, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are having a positive impact on their opportunities.

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.
With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. We are seeking an Interim CEO for a local charity delivering services to vulnerable people in Bedfordshire to lead the organisation through a period of strategic growth and renewed purpose. As Interim Chief Executive Officer, you will collaborate with the Board of Trustees to drive the charity’s vision and oversee operational excellence, as well as strengthen partnerships, explore income generation avenues, and serve as a visible advocate within the community.

We’re looking for a Volunteer Experience Manager to join our amazing Volunteer Engagement Team! Working in a dynamic, fast moving and fun environment, no two days will be the same.

Crisis Action is looking for a high-achieving, proactive individual to lead on all day-to-day transactions and activities of the Finance team to lead on a smooth and efficient running of the invoice and payment systems and the day-to-day functioning of the finance functions .To ensure Crisis Action’s financial systems operate at an optimum level.
Key Responsibilities
Cashbook Processing
- Manage the cashbook processing of the different offices.
- To check the accuracy of the cashbook returns from the different offices. To ensure the returns tie back to the bank statements and the entries are supported by receipts. To ensure the coding is correct
- To provide training to the offices on the cashbook processes and return and to provide guidance in line with the Finance manual.
- To upload the cashbook entries onto the accounting systems in line with the monthly Finance timetable.
- To ensure the cashbook entries tie back to the payroll journal
Invoice processing and payment
- Lead on the invoice processing on the SUN accounting system of the organisation.
- Ensuring all suppliers are properly approved prior to setting up on the system
- Ensuring all invoices are approved by the budget holders prior to processing on the accounting system.
- Produce a fortnightly payment run for sign-off by the Finance & Operations Director.
- Ensure the automated payments are processed accurately through the banking system.
- Resolve all payment queries.
- Process journals from the Concur staff expenses system onto Sun Systems on a monthly basis
Balance Sheet Control account reconciliations
- Produce monthly reconciliation for balance sheet control accounts of the organisation, which includes bank & salary control accounts
- Support the Finance Manager in maintaining a monthly balance sheet control reconciliation file, and support in other control account reconciliations.
Partnership Fee
- Produce Partnership Fee invoices on a yearly basis
- To provide regular progress reports for Directors on the status of Partnership Fee invoices.
Systems control and Development
- Support the Finance and Operations Director in developing efficient systems and processes throughout the organisation
Budgeting
- Support in the preparation of the international office budgets
Management Accounts
- Preparation of International Management Accounts, including the commentary on a monthly basis
Year end
- Support in helping resolve Auditors’ queries and providing information and explanation required for audit purposes.
- Support in preparation of year end schedules
- Support in the preparation of the statutory accounts for various entities of Crisis Action
Donor Reports
- Support the Head of Finance in preparation of Donor reports
Cash flow
- Support on the preparation of the cash flow statement.
Payroll
- Support on the preparation of the UK & US Payroll and Payroll reconciliations
Filing and maintenance of efficient systems
- Ensure all financial records are filed correctly on SharePoint
- Maintain a good filing system of invoices and supplier records.
Administration
- Management of the Finance and Operations Director’s diary movements
- To schedule meetings and administration tasks, such as note-taking
- Support maintaining the financial planning tool and workflow
Ad hoc requirements

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

Terms and Conditions
Salary:£30,000 per annum

A prestigious Not for Profit organisation is recruiting a Financial Controller on an interim basis to take on a key leadership role. As the interim Financial Controller you will be accountable for the following:
- The production of the audited statutory financial statements and the completion of the external audit, to the specified timetable, you will need to lean upon your project management skills to pull this together

About the role:
As our US Associate Director of Philanthropy, you will join a talented, driven and passionate global fundraising team, and have a vital role in leading our philanthropy program in the US in support of our mission to end factory farming for the benefit of animals, people and the planet. We have come a long way in the past few years, establishing a professional integrated international philanthropy team with new investment to support our ambitious growth strategy. This role will specifically support a caseload of up to 7 unaccompanied young people who are seeking asylum in the United Kingdom and have been placed in their services as part of the Lambeth Young Peoples Pathway.
This role works to their person-centred support model building on customer care, health and safety, flexibility, adaptability and other skills to assist homeless individuals who are currently unable to live independently, by offering them the practical and emotional support they need to regain their Independence.
As well as the very specific needs related to their status as an asylum seeker these young people come to them with a range of other support needs, including but not limited to mental health and learning disabilities.
The support for each customer is person-centred, requires creative energy and is hugely rewarding forcolleagues as well as life changing for customers. This means embracing a dynamic work environment where each day presents unique challenges, offering valuable opportunities for personaland professional growth.
