The post holder will play a key role in the Academy’s policy team, primarily overseeing our research base policy work. These activities will require close working with the Academy’s Fellows and other experts and stakeholders to identify and analyse key policy issues; coordinating, supporting and advising the Academy’s President, Honorary Officers and Fellows in meetings with key decision makers; and leading the delivery of key parts of the Academy’s advocacy work. The post holder will be a key part of the Academy’s work to sustain and enhance the medical research environment in the UK.
A team player with demonstrable experience of influencing the policymaking process, you will have a strong appetite to harness connections across research disciplines, sectors and communities. First-rate communication skills and attention to detail are essential. The post holder will be expected to foster excellent relationships with Fellows, external partners and key stakeholders.

We are currently following government guidance and all staff are working remotely. We will be reviewing this regularly and will return to the office once this is appropriate and feasible.
