Job description

This organisation supports anonymous recruitment. That means hiding your personal identifying information, removing bias from the hiring process.

For 40 years, across nearly 50 countries, we have led the global fight against hunger. We respond to emergency food crises, and save the lives of severely malnourished children and their families.  We are there for them before and after disaster strikes. We enable people to provide for themselves, see their children grow up strong, and build prosperous communities.

Over the last 20 years we have significantly grown as an organisation and are now established in the UK as a reference in the fight against severe child malnutrition.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our team on a permanent basis.

The Finance Officer role would work with both our Finance and Fundraising and teams (split approximately 50% each team) supporting Grants/Contracts and Income Processing activities. The role reports to the Grants and Finance manager.

This role is important in supporting the Database and Supporter Care fundraising team by processing gift income received via online platforms, post and banking systems through our Raiser’s Edge database and then ensuring income is properly recorded in the accounting system.  It is also responsible for supporting the Grants and Finance Manager in the financial administration and management of certain grants and contracts, working with the relevant staff in other parts of the organisation in ensuring that related accounting and financial reporting is done correctly, compliance is met and robust systems and processes are in place.

Closing date: 5pm, Monday 28th June 2021
