We are looking for a personable multi-tasker to join the Special Events Team, to support the delivery of Action Against Hunger’s spring events, by taking the lead on several key areas of event co-ordination and offering support to the whole Special Events Team.
The Special Events Assistant will contribute to the smooth running of our special events by providing administrative support to the Special Events team in the run up to, and on the day/night of, the event.
In particular, this post will assist the Special Events team in securing auction prizes and event-related sponsorship by liaising with appropriate donors and prospects to ensure we maximise our income potential. The Special Events Assistant may also liaise with other members of the fundraising team to secure in-kind venue, food and drink provisions, and leading on relationships with any associated suppliers.
The Special Events Assistant will also lead on ensuring that all relevant data generated by these events is recorded accurately and consistently in our Raiser’s Edge database, and will manage the processing of financial transactions associated with the events in conjunction with the Action Against Hunger Finance Team.

The post will be based in Action Against Hunger-UK’s London office, only candidates with the right to work in the UK may apply.
The successful candidate will need to be available to start week commencing 23rd March. The contract will end on Friday 26th June 2020.
