Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organisation that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger. We save the lives of malnourished children. We ensure everyone can access clean water, food, training and healthcare. We enable entire communities to be free from hunger.

Our Fundraising and Communications team is looking for a talented Special Events Officer to join the team on a fixed term contract. The successful candidate will work with the Special Events Manager to deliver our 2021 calendar of special events, including the management of the Hawksmoor Dream Team Dinner, our annual gala dinner held in October.

Action Against Hunger are proud to be the charity of choice for the hospitality industry, meaning we have access to some of the UK’s best chefs and restaurants resulting in a bespoke portfolio of events.

Long-term partners, Hawksmoor, have held an annual dinner for the past eight years – raising over £625,000 for Action Against Hunger. Guests are invited to dine at Hawksmoor Guildhall, where they are treated to courses cooked by some of the country’s most talented chefs, whilst having the opportunity to win a host of fabulous prizes.

We are looking for an experienced event professional who is a flexible team player with great interpersonal skills. Calm in any situation, you can quickly get to grips with the task and see it through successfully to completion. You are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, and can bring individuals together to meet an end goal.

The successful candidate will need to be available on Saturday 2nd October 2021, the date of this year’s Hawksmoor Dream Team Dinner.
