ActionAid UK is a member of the ActionAid Federation, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.
As part of the ActionAid Federation, we work with women and girls, our partners, and dedicated staff in 43 countries to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.
It’s an exciting time to join the fundraising team at ActionAid UK. Our income has grown steadily over the last three years, and we are currently undertaking a review of our public fundraising activities to help shape our strategy and investment. We recognise the importance of insight in creating more attractive, relevant and efficient fundraising strategies and campaigns, and are looking for someone to drive our programme of insight and research to the next level. The post holder will be building on a robust existing programme that includes audience segmentations, supporter profiles, brand tracking and a network of external partners that enrich our insights into public attitudes.
Reporting into the Deputy Director of Supporter Experience and Innovation, you will have oversight of the insight function at ActionAid UK, including market research, audience segmentation and donor profiles. You’ll be delivering trend and market updates, leading our new programme of supporter satisfaction measurement, and working closely with our data analysis and digital teams to combine and maximise our insights. You will be a visible presence in the charity, working across the organisation to identify opportunities for collaboration, and raising the profile and understanding of our insights.
If you have a successful track record in primary and secondary market research, are a confident self-starter who is genuinely collaborative, loves innovation and is enthusiastic about women’s rights and anti-racism, then we’d love to hear from you.
ActionAid is committed to driving improvement through digital channels, tools and ways of working. We will ensure that we provide the technology and the training to enable all staff to perform their roles to the best of their abilities. In return, we ask that all staff are committed to continually improving their digital skills and knowledge within the working environment. Our recruitment processes will evaluate the digital skills of all applicants.
ActionAid is committed to supporting flexible working. If you would like to discuss flexible working options, including the possibility of a job share for this role, there will be space to do so during the interview process.
We are committed to continually improving the diversity of our workforce and therefore encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQI+ community, the trans community, and those with a disability.
