Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis is a young, dynamic, national charity. We are determined to reach and support more people whose lives have been turned upside down by a diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis (PF), a condition that makes breathing increasingly hard and affects every aspect of life.
We are looking for a creative and energetic person to join our team as our new Volunteer Coordinator, to encourage and develop our fantastic team of volunteers, and inspire new people to volunteer with us, so no-one faces life with PF alone, at every step with PF and especially diagnosis.
You’ll know how to inspire, recruit, match and support volunteers so they have a great experience with APF. You’ll enjoy creating digital and face-to-face events that inspire and equip volunteers. You’ll understand all about safeguarding and confidentiality and have the emotional maturity to respond with empathy and understanding wherever anyone is experiencing stress. And you’ll help us to deliver a great service and build impact data to attract new volunteers and support.
This full-time role is home-based, with some travel around the UK, including occasional travel to the national office in Peterborough. We offer flexibility and ongoing support to help you grow and develop in the role. (Potential role share as long as there is full time cover across the week.)
