We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Information Engagement Coordinator who will help us increase the reach of the Information Service at Action on Hearing Loss Cymru.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a new role within a charity that is growing and help change the way that we engage with people who are deaf, hard of hearing or have tinnitus in West Wales.
The role of the West Wales Information Engagement Coordinator will be to provide information on hearing loss, deafness and tinnitus to the people of Wales. This will be done through recruiting/coordinating volunteers, and by spreading our information through our online channels/social media.
You will also be joining a passionate team which is committed to our cause and an organisation which really does live its values of people, partnership and passion.
This is a post where you can really make a significant difference to a charity that is on its way up and changing the lives of thousands of people with hearing loss in Wales.
Communication is a basic human need. Yet most of us know someone who struggles to communicate through hearing loss. It can cause substantial harm to friendships, family relationships, confidence, employability, mental health and life chances.
Action on Hearing Loss (formerly the RNID) is the UK’s largest charity for the 11 million people in the UK who confront deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss every day. Established in 1911, we help people to take control of their lives and live the life they choose, removing the barriers standing in their way. We give people support and care, develop technology and treatments, and campaign for equality.
If, having read the information pack, you would like further information in relation to the post or an informal discussion, please contact Paul Chappell on 029_2033_3034
Interview date: 31 July 2019.
