£36,000 per year pro rata
Contract, 12 months, Part-time
Job description

Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP) is looking for an energetic, creative and engaging Fundraiser to work with individuals and groups from all walks of life - building strong relationships with them so that APP is the charity they choose to fundraise for.

You will join a small but fast-growing charity with a dedicated and passionate team, committed to supporting women and families affected by severe postnatal mental illness. The Fundraiser will have the opportunity to build on our work so far, shaping systems and future fundraising strategies. A good eye for detail, the ability to plan campaigns from start to finish, and the ability to multitask are essential.

You will have excellent experience of working with supporters and volunteers, ideally in the area of mental health or of mothers and families. You may have previously worked in fundraising, or you will have transferable skills from another area such as sales, events marketing or PR. You will have taken part in fundraising events yourself, and understand the needs and journey of fundraisers.

In this role you will plan, promote, implement and evaluate a range of fundraising events and community fundraising initiatives. You will support and build relationships with our network of supporters who carry out their own fundraising for APP and tend to include: women and families with experience of PP, bereaved families, and health professionals working in maternity and perinatal mental health. Digital fundraising is a core part of our strategy and you will use digital fundraising platforms to reach and engage with APP’s supporters.

We are looking for somebody who is warm, personable and who understands the importance of the small details – as well as flexible, resilient and prepared to manage a varied workload. APP offers flexible home-based working with core hours and flexible start and finish times. A working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate.
