About the opportunity:
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. Working closely with the Partnerships and Fundraising Manager this role will cultivate and develop fruitful volunteer partnerships with a range of universities and other organisations.
The successful candidate should be passionate about the work of Action Tutoring, driven to maximise the charity’s existing partnerships and able to think creatively about increasing the quantity of student volunteers.  Raising our profile and brand awareness lies at the heart of our marketing and recruitment activities.
The role requires someone with outstanding people skills, able to win people over through genuine passion, with an ability to take initiative and think creatively to spot new opportunities. You will need to be proactive and persistent. An ability to think strategically and use data to identify priorities and help spot opportunities will also be critical to success in the role.
Our charity is at an exciting point in its development as it continues to scale to respond to the negative impact of the pandemic and support disadvantaged pupils who have been impacted. We need to engage as many volunteer tutors as we can to do this.
Comprehensive induction and training will be provided. Action Tutoring is committed to providing development opportunities for its staff, and as a growing charity there are plenty of opportunities to take on new areas of responsibility.

Place of work: London office: The Dock, Tobacco Quay, Wapping Lane, E1W 2SF.
We would consider remote working for this role for the right candidate, but occasional visits to the London office and travel to external events, meetings and Action Tutoring regions would be required.

Contract and working hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent contract.

Start date: January 2022

Closing date and interviews: Sunday 9th January 2022. Interviews 13th and 14th January 2022

All Action Tutoring staff must have a DBS check. Should you be aware of any incidents, cautions or convictions that would appear on your DBS check, you should notify us with your application.
