Reigate, Surrey
£0.00 - Voluntary
Job description

Do you believe passionately that everyone should have the opportunity to live a full and aspiring life? If so, you can help shape our organisation and make a difference!

Active Prospects is an ambitious national award winning care provider in the South East who supports people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, acquired brain injury and those with complex needs and behaviours of concern, to live full and aspirational lives.

What are we looking for?

Our Board members help set our priorities, and support and hold to account our paid members of staff to deliver our plans. Together, we ensure our mission remains focused and we strive towards our vision.

We are looking for Board members with experience of Care and / or Health Services and particularly welcome applications from BAME communities which are currently under-represented on our board.

The range and diversity of a Board will come from people with different perspectives including business skills, service user, family or social experience, general interests or commitment to the goals of the organisation.

We hope that by becoming a Trustee with us it will give you the reward of giving something back, making an impact locally, and being involved in bringing strategy to life.

Other details

Reasonable travel expenses are payable, and the time commitment is up to eight 2-hour evening meetings a year, plus an annual strategy away day normally held in November. Board meetings are held at our head office in Reigate.

Details of our current Board Members can be found on our website and a full role description and candidate pack are available. The role description gives further information on what the role of a Board Member entails if this is not something that you have considered before.

How to apply

Applications should be made via Reach in the first instance. Please provide your CV along with a covering letter stating why you wish to work with the organisation, how your skills would add value to the board and any other relevant information.
