In collaboration with key stakeholders and our members, the goal is to close the fairness gap between disabled and non-disabled people’s activity levels in the next generation.
Strategic Partnership Advisors support key partners, including Active Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, local authorities including combined authorities, and leisure providers to become more effective in their role of enabling more disabled people to be active.
You will have good knowledge of the sport and activity sector and how it operates and be able to advocate improvements which enable more disabled people to get active. You will also have a knowledge of the non-sport sectors including disabled people’s organisations and how to establish relationships to build effective cross-sector partnership working.
We are looking for an individual with experience of working strategically at placed based/locality level. Someone who can positively influence local investments to tackle the inequalities disabled people face in sport and activity through inclusive practice.
The successful candidate will be based in the North region (North East, North West, and Yorkshire) and will have the option for remote/home working.
