Home-based
£15 per hour
Contract, Part-time
Job description

Join a team that's making a real difference.

Adfam is the only national charity tackling the effects of alcohol, drug use or gambling on family members and friends. We improve life for thousands of people. One way we do this is by empowering families and friends to get the support they need.

We want anyone affected by someone else's drug or alcohol use or gambling problem to have the chance to benefit from healthy relationships, be part of a loving and supportive family and enjoy mental and physical wellbeing.

We have a number of frontline services, commissioned in local areas in England to provide support to family members and friends. We are looking to recruit a ‘bank’ of experienced Family Support professionals to provide virtual support sessions to individual family members or groups, via the phone or Zoom. Depending on our contracts at the time, this may include short-term or longer-term opportunities, relief work and/or occasional one-off opportunities. There may be opportunities for just an hour or two per week, up to several days per week, varying over time.

These roles would suit workers experienced in supporting family members affected by someone else’s substance use and/or gambling. Perhaps you work part-time and would value occasional additional work, or would like the flexibility of short-term or minimal-hours work.

Salary: £15 per hour

6.5% contributory pension scheme

Contract: Ongoing

This is a remote working position based at home, with some travel.
