Canvey Island Youth Project (Yellow Door) is a small independent charity providing a range of services for young people aged 11 to 25. Our focus is on young people’s health and well-being, providing services such as advice, information, counselling, outreach, small group work, youth clubs and activities and drug and alcohol education.

To deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. Focus on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.
Fixed term for 2 years, 35 hours per week.
The hours for this role will be varied over shift patterns from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and may also include some Saturdays.
There are 3 positions available
Location: Based at Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW.
The role will require travelling in London and East Anglia and also offers remote working around meetings and workshops.
The Role
In this role you will be:
- Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
- Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.
- Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.
- Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources.
- Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.
About You
- You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to support communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.
- You be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
- Showing empathy and being able to respond positively to change while being able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to succeed within this role. The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty.
- It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products and are confident user of digital technology demonstrating a positive approach to the adoption of innovative products and tools. You will be able to track and evaluate the impact of your community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.
- You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people and their families. It is desirable that you have a good knowledge of Energy and Utilities advice. If you do not already have the qualification, you will be trained to a Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness.

We’re looking for a fundraising assistant role to support the Investments and Partnerships team and in particular the donor development and special events coordinators. This role will help SIA ensure that donations are processed accurately and quickly as well as support the events teams to look after fundraisers.
In close collaboration with the donor development coordinator, you will help to grow, diversify, and sustain fundraising income as part of the wider business development team, feeding into our 2030 strategy.
Fundraising Assistant
Location: Milton Keynes - We offer hybrid working with the expectation of three days per week in the office.
Salary: £23,100 per annum
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
About the role
SIA’s vision is a fulfilled life for everyone affected by spinal cord injury with the aim to double the number of members accessing our network of services – this role connects individuals and groups with our work, developing long-lasting relationships so that supporters are financially, actively, and emotionally engaged with SIA.
In this role you will play a vital administrative role supporting the Investments and Partnerships team and in particular the donor development and special events coordinators. The Investments and Partnerships Team delivers the charity’s fundraising activities, securing voluntary income to fund services for spinal cord injured people. This role will help SIA ensure that donations are processed accurately and quickly as well as support the events teams to look after fundraisers. The fundraising assistant will also support administrative tasks associated with delivering special events. This is an entry level role into fundraising and is a great opportunity to learn how various departments operate within a charity fundraising team.

Deptford X is looking to appoint a General Manager to join Deptford X alongside our next Director and work in tandem to lead the organisation into its next phase. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of Deptford X and the delivery and development of its ambitious festival and programmes
About Deptford X
Deptford X is a visual arts charity based in Deptford, South East London, we foster artistic talent and nurture community within the borough of Lewisham and beyond. We achieve this through a free festival in Deptford, working with hundreds of artists to locate art at the centre of everyday life for all of the area’s communities, and ongoing activity supporting artists and our local communities year-round. Founded in 1998, Deptford X is London’s longest-running visual arts festival.
This is a crucial and exciting time to join Deptford X; in 2023 the organisation turned 25 and also became an Arts Council England NPO. We are exploring moving to a biennial model and creating more space for deeper engagement and networked working. There is scope for the new General Manager to being their own vision and networks to the organisation and to take it into the next quarter century in a way that is sustainable, accessible, diverse and relevant.
Job Requirements
We are looking for someone with experience of managing organisational operations and team members, preferably with an integrated approach to access and diversity, and an understanding and knowledge of financial development strategies. We would like to appoint someone with shared values: someone who understands the importance of difference, creativity, experimentation and learning within art; who has a commitment to local artistic ambition and making a positive contribution to local communities in the area; and who is committed to equity, accessibility and care.
Job Responsibilities
The General Manager is integral to the management of Deptford X and the delivery and development of its ambitious programmes. The General Manager works closely with the Director and Board of Trustees as part of a small and supportive team to contribute actively and creatively to the development of the organisation, as well as overseeing daily and organisational operations. The General Manager supervises office management, communications, administration, financial management, staffing, programme delivery logistics, reporting and evaluation; and works collaboratively with the Director on strategic and financial development, including embedded environmental sustainability. In addition to the above, the General Manager will lead on developing and dynamically integrating Deptford X's access and care agenda.
Position: General Manager
Salary: £32 - 35,500 pro rata

Location: We have a hybrid working model outside of festival delivery times. We have an office at Lewisham Arthouse in Deptford/Brockley and also offer the option to work 2 days a week from home.
Hours: 9.30 - 5.30
