This role will be a crucial part of Baytree’s Adult Education team, which currently consists of an Academic Manager, one other Academic Administrator (who is reducing her working hours after many years of service for Baytree), two ESOL tutors and the Women’s Service Director. - Management of the IOP Affiliation Scheme: a paid-for service to support teachers which includes the provision of the IOP publication “Classroom Physics”. Responsibilities include managing subscriptions, invoicing schools, and maintaining mailing lists.
Who will I work with?
- You will be line managed by the Implementation Manager and work with them on projects across the Department.
- You will support the Strategic Lead for Retention and Professional Community and Strategic Lead for Pedagogy and Professional Practice in the delivery of their projects.
- In the delivery of external events you will support and work with our Professional Support Coaches who are based across England and Wales

Organisational Background
The Council for At-Risk Academics is a UK-registered charity founded in 1933 under the leadership of William Beveridge, to rescue academics suffering persecution under the rise of Nazism and facilitate their continued work in safety. Sixteen Cara Fellows from the 1930s and 1940s became Nobel Laureates, and many more innovators in their fields, including, Nikolaus Pevsner, Lise Meitner and Karl Popper. A number of Cara’s founders and Council members also personally provided places and/or funds to help individual academics; and Cara, known in the 1930s as the AAC, later the SPSL, was closely involved in the successful effort in 1933 to bring to London the Warburg Institute art library, which had been prohibited by the Nazis, and six of its staff. The Fellowship Programme is the continuation of the rescue mission operation started in 1933.
Cara has been a lifeline to academics at risk for just over 90 years, as and when world events have placed them in the line of fire: Hungarian Uprising, Cold War, Apartheid South Africa, Iran, Latin American Juntas, Vietnam, Kosovo, DRC, Rwanda, Sudan, Zimbabwe etc. and, more recently Iraq, Turkey, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine. Cara support is typically framed as temporary sanctuary offered at times of heightened risk.
Cara Objectives ‘To assist academics who have been, or are, or are at risk of being, subject to discrimination, persecution, suffering or violence on account of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion, to relieve needs among them and their dependants and ensure that their specialist knowledge and abilities can continue to be used for the benefit of the public.’

Part-time Fellowship Programme Assistant Role & Responsibilities
· Produce a weekly list of payments.
· Produce financial paperwork.
· Schedule Fellows’ placement disbursements on SalesForce (SF) – those having simple funding allocations and support the schedule of more complex funding requests when needed.
· Update disbursement details once paid on a weekly basis.
· Input payments made via our Pleo card to SF and link allocations.
· Update details for new grant requests (funding request status, disbursement details, and relevant allocations) and ongoing requests when needed.
· Support management of Fellowship-related grants (English, hardship, mentoring, small grants).
· Create payments and allocations for opportunities on SF once an award letter has been issued.
· Track invoice status and notify colleagues to initiate the invoicing process.

Learning with Parents supports all families to have positive learning interactions together and leads the sector to learn what works in tackling inequality.
In partnership with 150 primary schools, we support families across the UK to enjoy learning together at home. Our child-led videos and hands-on family activities replace traditional homework. Through behavioural insight research, innovative technology and teacher training, we ensure that as many families as possible are supported effectively.
We are working to improve parental engagement across the sector, by producing evidence of parents’ impact and generating insights into how schools can best support them. Learnings are disseminated through the Parental Engagement Forum and amplified through the Fair Education Alliance.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit a School Partnership Officer to help us grow and extend the reach of our Learning with Parents programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience across project management at a fast-paced education-tech charity. We are a small team, and the School Partnership Coordinator will play a key role in enabling us to deliver our programme strategy.
Core areas of responsibility
Programme support
- Assist the School Partnership Managers with support for the schools using our Reading Log, including having calls with those schools
- Collaborate with the Schools Team to help schools get started on the programme
- Send reminders to schools on their next actions
- Update the schools database and organisations database with the relevant programme information
- Support the Schools Team to deliver timely tech support for both schools and parents using our programmes
- Support with pulling together school impact summaries
- Support with the invoicing and contracts for school partners, including supporting the Schools Team with ensuring school invoices are paid
- Support with any programme admin as directed by the school team.
External communications
- Manage the general inbox for the charity
- Sort parent feedback comments and photos for marketing materials and impact summaries
- Support with creating marketing materials such as emails and and flyers
- Update the charity social media accounts including our X, LinkedIn and Facebook pages.
General administrative support
- Other administrative support as required by the wider organisation, such as office procurement, general research, organising events and booking travel.

Location
Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office-based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.

The Partnership & Engagement Coordinator (Reading) role allows for expansion within the current Partnership & Engagement Team. We are a small but mighty nonprofit organisation which delivers impactful change and support to migrant women’s lives in Thanet.
This role will be focused on finance, governance and operations and will be a job share with the CEO for practice, development, and partnerships, who is already in post and has been overseeing this function. You will also be responsible for the line management of the Operations Manager and volunteers.
It is a crucial time for Beyond the Page and we have big ambitions for this year, including charity registration, maximising our income generation, developing, and implementing our strategy and continuing to provide high quality and impactful ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages), wellbeing and creative activities in the community to women born outside of the UK.

You will need to have an excellent attention to detail, previous management experience and budget oversight, knowledge of current legislation and be able to share a leadership role effectively. You will also be responsible for taking us through the charity registration process and all associated duties thereafter. Lady Margaret Hall is seeking an Associate Development Director (Major Gifts). This is a senior position within the Development Team reporting to the Director of Development. The Associate Development Director will manage a portfolio of 100 or so prospects and donors, some of whom we have little contact with, and others who will be engaged. They will be a front-line fundraiser who will spend a considerable amount of time meeting with alumni online and in person in the UK (mainly London and Oxford) as well as independently developing pipelines.

Lady Margaret Hall is in the early stages of a major fundraising campaign in the lead up to our 150th anniversary in 2028 and we are looking for a motivated, confident and passionate fundraiser to join the team and assist the Director of Development with major gifts fundraising from the growing pipeline of qualified and unqualified prospects. The campaign is varied and includes fundraising for the endowment, unrestricted gifts, capital works and scholarships.

About the role:
The Minerva service in Thames Valley provides one-to-one advocacy and holistic support for women affected by the criminal justice system. As the Interventions and Women’s Centre Co-ordinator, you will play an important role in ensuring that women supported by the Thames Valley Minerva Service access an environment that is warm, welcoming, and accessible.
You will lead on resourcing donations of clothes and other items to support our clients, as well as support-packs and resources, depending on the needs of the service.
You may deliver limited group-based support to women such as coffee mornings or ad hoc events, and you will identify and signpost women to wider holistic support in the community, working closely with the Service Manager, Keyworkers, and specialist partner providers.
On your working day, you will be based in Reading , however there is an expectation of flexibility to travel across Thames Valley depending on service need’.
About You:
To be successful you will need the below experience, knowledge and skills:
Bringing knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending, both in and out of the Criminal Justice System, and knowledge of trauma informed approaches in supporting vulnerable women with a range of complex needs. Previous experience in office management and/or administration roles with excellent literary and administrative skills; including information technology, data collection and in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. You will have the ability to be flexible, working as a team or independently as required to support the service and colleagues, and the ability to prioritise a broad range of tasks. With excellent communication skills including verbal and non-verbal; ability to converse with people at different levels according to their level of understanding
