Avon Wildlife Trust are looking for a Head of People and Resources to shape the development of our workforce and ensure that our staff and volunteers have everything they need to fulfil their roles.
Like many organisations, we have recently moved to a hybrid working approach including homeworking and operational hubs throughout our area. We have embraced collaborative online working through Microsoft Teams and are making the transition to fully cloud based IT systems. We are operating effectively in our new model, but much remains to be done to ensure that staff and volunteers are supported by the best systems and facilities that we can provide. The Head of People and Resources is a new role in the Trust, introduced to help make and maintain this transition. You will also support the operation of our Board and the governance of the Trust.

Overall Purpose of Job :
To manage the people and resources operations of the Trust, ensuring that our staff, volunteers and Trustees are supported by the systems, facilities and culture they need to fulfil their roles safely, effectively and inclusively.
Main Responsibilities :
- Develop our HR systems to attract, support, develop and retain talented people, including leading our systems and culture around equality, diversity and inclusion, performance management, volunteering, learning and development and internal communications.
- Provide oversight and supervision of the Trust’s buildings, operational facilities, vehicles and other shared assets, ensuring that our people have the facilities and equipment they need to fulfil their roles. This includes the landlord responsibilities associated with Folly Farm Centre.
- Ensure the effective development and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure that supports our digital transformation, knowledge management and effective functioning of the Trust’s day to day operations.
- Continuously develop the Trust’s Health and Safety, safeguarding and data protection systems, monitoring and driving compliance to provide assurance of a safe environment for people involved in the Trust’s activities.
- Continuously develop systems to support the Trust’s effective operations, including project management and resource management systems, and monitor and report on implementation of the Trust’s Strategy Delivery Plan.
- Support the effective governance of the Trust and the operations of the Board, including organising and supporting meetings, co-ordinating our annual report and AGM and managing the recruitment process for new Trustees.
- Support the Trust’s procurement and contracting processes, including commissioning legal advice.
- Continuously improve the environmental footprint of the Trust’s operations, to go beyond net zero carbon and address the ecological impact of supply chains.
- Contribute to the Trust’s ongoing management, strategy and future direction as an active member of the Leadership Team, ensuring an integrated approach to restoring wildlife and inspiring people to take action.

Main responsibilities will include:
Administration
- Be responsible for securing contracts by confirming booking information and working with the Head of Budgets, Contracts & Policy to ensure freelance trainer contracts and Service Agreements are in place
- Oversee the general administration of all APD functions including responding to customer queries and feedback
- Process course bookings made via Thinkific and other platforms, ensuring all requirements are noted and passed on appropriately

- Ensure effective contribution of accurate and timely data required by Artswork and its funders / stakeholders
Finance
- Be responsible for APD budgets including raising sales invoices, reconciling payments and managing deferred income
- Follow anti-money laundering procedures to ensure APD sales are compliant with legislation
- Ensure all finance and operations processes and procedures are rigorously implemented in collaboration with the Finance & Operations team
- Produce budget forecasts for APD and provide monthly updates on current financial position to the Deputy CEO and Head of Budgets, Contracts & Policy
- Chase debtors and regularly report any overdue payments to the Finance team
Strategy
- Contribute to the APD growth strategy through ideas and practical solutions
- Work with the APD team and Deputy CEO in the development of new programmes, routes to market and audience development
Communications
- Help to maintain strong communication channels with all partner organisations and customers
- Provide administrative support in developing regional networks, contacts and partners
- Assist with the engagement of employers and partners for projects and programmes

As our Senior Operations Officer, working closely with the Head of Operations, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our organisational operations. The remit of the role covers a wide range of functions including senior officer responsibility for ICT systems, office management, building management, and also contributing to Quartet’s strategy in response to carbon reductions and equality, diversity and inclusion.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous relevant ICT experience, operational experience of supporting a team in an office environment – preferably for a charity or not for profit organisation – and will have the necessary skills to work both practically and professionally with staff and trustees, tenants, and other third parties to deliver the best possible operational delivery across Quartet’s varied services.
Highlights of the role:
- Permanent Full Time Contract: 35 hrs per week

Our Head of Young People's Services is a critical, strategic and operational role within Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone. This fundraiser will work closely with the Heads of Departments and academics in the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences. The post will focus primarily on funding for research, academic posts, scholarships and infrastructure related to Neuroscience which includes Mental Health and neurological disease (e.g. Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke and Epilepsy). The fundraiser will work on special projects including the possible major capital redevelopment of the Warneford site. SIG Safe Ground is an award-winning charity which delivers high-quality, group work interventions to people in prison and community settings.
Our arts-based therapeutic group work focuses on relationships and identity, particularly in reclaiming and reframing imposed identities while offering access to new perspectives, creating opportunities for discussion and debate, and inviting participants to take risks, experiencing themselves and each other in new ways.
You will report to the Head of Criminal Justice Services and line manage the programmes coordinator, as well as work closely with our services based within HMP Lowdham Grange and HMP Altcourse. You will lead on the development of new creative work, identifying gaps and opportunities, working alongside various teams to open new business opportunities to secure funding, and facilitate the programmes we deliver, mainly in prisons and community settings. We are looking for someone to bring a new creative outlook, able to be agile and think of new ways to promote Safe Ground, and develop our resources, this could include delivering theatre productions, films, and podcasts.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9 - 5 although you may need to work outside these hours as required. The role will be hybrid, working from home, our central office in Islington, and able to visit various sites across London, Nottingham, Liverpool, and additional locations as required.

KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
- Previous experience in contract management and reporting of projects or programmes
- Previous experience in facilitation of programmes and/or training for various groups
- Previous experience in people management and development
- IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
- Ability to create, develop, and deliver new programmes and/or creative content in various settings such as prisons, communities, and wider criminal justice settings
- Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
- Ability and willingness to travel to various services and work within the prison setting
What we would like, but not essential:
- Relevant professional qualification in applied theatre, drama, or a field related to programme delivery or health and social care in criminal justice system
- Previous experience in developing, producing, and/or performing professional productions for example film, television, or theatre productions
- Previous experience with commissioners, supporting or contributing to research and evaluation projects
- Previous experience in supporting winning new contracts for example in bid writing or fundraising activities
- Financial Management experience: Budget setting, analysis, and cost reduction

We’re looking for a highly motivated communications professional who is passionate about supporting the growth of FoodCycle and working to help people understand the many benefits of community dining.
We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. This role is vitally important in supporting our growth - we have plans to reach 100 Community Meal Projects by the end of this year as well as launching new initiatives that will help us support more families and children.
The post holder will work closely with the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team to develop campaigns and plans that will get as many people as possible talking about FoodCycle’s work, enhance our visibility and become the leaders in delivering and promoting community dining.
You will have experience working within media or PR, with a track record of securing high quality media coverage. You will have knowledge of the media landscape, and the ability to craft a press release, pitch a story, work with case studies, and write blog posts.

Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.
The role of Personal Assistant to the Principal will provide the Principal with proactive and confidential project-related and administrative support, with a particular focus on development and fundraising activities. Our current annual expenditure on charitable activities is around £1.3m and we rely on donations and receive no public subsidy. The Principal therefore acts as both the head of the Charity as well as the primary fundraiser.
The post-holder will possess strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the tenacity to follow work through to completion. He/she should have experience in a previous PA and/or fundraising & development role, ideally within the Charity sector.
