The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in the customer service, finance and membership functions which underpin the success of the Association, which serves its members and the general public to develop learning and teaching of foreign languages.
The Administrative Assistant will join a team of three new recruits, as well as two existing members of staff at an exciting time when a new strategic vision has been developed for the Association. Investment in the staffing structure below is intended to support the Association in the latest chapter of its life:

The Administrative Assistant will be a first point of contact for enquirers and members via phone and email. They will use a database, MS office packages and a content management system to support their role.
They will work collaboratively with a full-time Membership Co-ordinator who will discuss and allocate administration, finance and membership tasks to the Administrative Assistant.
There will be come general administrative duties for the Administrative Assistant to undertake in support of the Association’s annual conference and the work of local volunteers who run events for language teachers across the country. There will also be ad hoc administrative tasks to undertake at the request of the Education Officer and Communications & Marketing Officer to support the organisation’s broader work.
