The role

The Minerva London service provides holistic wraparound support to women involved with the CJS, through 1:1 Keywork and access to specialist gender-specific support via Advance’s Women’s Centres. The Interventions & Centres Manager role is responsible for managing the effective running of Advance’s London Women’s Centres, as part of the delivery of the London Minerva Service. This includes line management of three Women’s Centre Coordinators, ensuring the day to day running of the Women’s Centre spaces and operational oversight of the development and implementation of a specialist programme of workshops and activities delivered by Advance and key partner agencies. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues in the Minerva London management team to ensure Advance’s Women’s Centres remain a key aspect of the holistic wraparound support offered by the Minerva London service.

 What you will bring:

  • Be responsible for the line management and leadership of your team of Women’s Centre Coordinators, including induction and training, regular supervision, team meetings, personal development and annual appraisals.
  • Support the Women’s Centre Co-ordinators to ensure the smooth running of the Women’s Centres, with a full programme of donations, activities and workshops provided by Advance and partner organisations.
  • Develop and manage operational partnerships to deliver services and activities from Advance’s Women’s Centres in line with women’s needs, developing, establishing and managing partnership relationships as required to ensure this is achieved.
  • Monitor and evaluate data, identify learnings and issues and implement action plans where necessary, to ensure that the delivery of the service requirements, targets and outcomes, as well as any internal and funder monitoring requirements are achieved.
  • Monitor the performance of your team, offering continuous coaching and feedback to ensure that Advance meets the specific KPIs and outcome measures for the contract, taking immediate action to manage poor performance as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Managers to ensure that the work supporting women in the criminal justice system (and Advance’s other services where appropriate) is a coherent and well organised service, meeting regularly to communicate issues across teams and reporting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions to the Senior Services Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with Advance’s Business Support Unit to ensure a healthy, safe space is provided by Advance’s Women’s Centres in line with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Work with Advance’s Finance team to manage petty cash reconciliation and distribution to the London Women’s Centres.
  • Build networks and pathways, to provide a robust whole systems approach, ensuring women’s voices in this process are heard and listened.
  • Be responsible for your own personal learning development and keep up to date on research, relevant legislation, policy and practice, and other literature relevant to the role.
  • Participate in supervision, training and meetings as required, and assist in the development of services in line with agreed development plans.
